Argos online chat is awful. Twice now I have been lied to by the person I spoke to regarding 2 separate missing/non delivery. Argos should be ashamed of the online chat service they offer!! Disgraceful a big company can deliver that kind of service.

I purchased last Sunday a new freezer, a blender and a table. My delivery had to be split in two due to the large size of the freezer. I have been waiting all day to get a time slot from my order ( literally I have spent all Saturday at home waiting for my freezer) when I decided to call customer service the reply was that there was an issue and my order was not scheduled, my option would be or waiting next Wed, or in my case that Im working during the week, next 22nd of December, 20 DAYS AFTER MY PURCHASE. I spent in the last month over £700 in Argos, and the delivery service is just a joke. I did not received any solution or alternative, it was myself trying to get a solution , all I got was "Im sorry about that". Bravo

I bought a 55" tv from argos via a friend as a birthday present for my partner in July. In October the tv got a crack down screen due to an accident. I bought insurance because of accidental damage 5 weeks we have been waiting for equinox to fix tv and nothing complaints department now saying we have to wait 1-5 working days for response from them then it will be another God knows how long before it gets fixed. The way I have been treated is more than disgusting why do you pay insurance when in all honesty it's useless your complaints department an absolute waste of time and effort your repairs department same

Eleanor the manager was rude and unhelpful. A Friday evening in the Church street Croydon store and they only had one person on the tills. I waited for 15 minutes to be told I couldn’t use my love to shop vouchers as the total was under £10. I informed them that I didn’t need change and she refused service until I purchased batteries (which took it WELL over the £10) and would not offer any other alternatives. I complained that Brixton Argos has allowed this twice and she grunted. I also complained about the wait and lack of till staff, to which she grunted and did not offer explanation.

Worst customer service at Eldon square store! I did a lots of purchase at argos before and very happy because its an easy and pleased transaction. I even do product replace and exchange before like my tv and rice cooker and everything went well but today is the worst service ever i got from the staff there Natalie and Holly the manager i think. I bought a food processor but when I got it home i notice it was too loud and too bulky compare to my previous kitchenaid that i used before. So 2 days later I took it back with the receipt and in a very good condition without flaw asked could I exchange it but the girl at the next till Natalie with a rude expression said I could not exchange it because it had been used even though i tell her that i just try to turn it on only without anything in it! (Thats how i figure out its too loud for my apartment) but still she said that they would not exchange it so I asked to speak to the manger well the way she spoke and their attitude to me was disgrace rude and has no customer skills. Very very very dissapointed with the customer service. Why bother state "Changed your mind?Never mind" policy if i couldnt exchange it anyway?!

Argos are utterly incompetent. You couldn't get service this inept if you tried. Long story short: Reserved item at Cyber Monday sale price for pickup at store. I got no notification; item didn't arrive. Went to the store and was told item was out of stock despite Argos having them in store when I ordered. They had them in a different colour, but they couldn't give me one of those because they'd have to submit a fresh order and I'd have to pay full price. Left very angry. Complained on Argos Online chat service and was told they would phone the store to sort it out and call me back. Call never came. Phoned customer support, they said the only way they could now fulfill the order at sale price was to change the order to home delivery. I'd be charged for delivery. Fed up now, I said ok let's give that a go. Stayed up for delivery. It never came. Phoned them up again. They said the delivery has been cancelled!!! I'm now awaiting another call back within 24-hours. What are the chances that will happen? I'm going to see how long this goes on for. All I'm getting out of this is an anecdote with which to amuse my friends. Meanwhile I'll have to buy my wife something else for Christmas, from a different shop. Everything Argos sell you can get somewhere else. I will certainly be doing that from now on.

ARGOS RE-SELLING FAULTY CUSTOMER RETURNS. Just purchased a set of Christmas lights which had obviously been returned by someone else. The lights were wound up in a ball and just stuffed into the box complete with a couple of the previous customers external fittings still attached. They had also 'forgotten' to include the electric connection/transformer so the set was completely useless. Following the customers' return, the item could not have been checked by anyone in store and just returned to 'good' stock instead of being taken out of circulation. Perhaps this is Argos's couldn't care less policy? This guarantees only one outcome - the next unfortunate customer (me) has to suffer the inconvenience of having to return the item and exchange it once more, to drive to the store, stand in the usual traffic jam, search for a parking space, wait in a queue to speak to someone who doesn't really care, queue again in the 'fast track - (joke)' queue and then hope that when you get the replacement home, it is unused and will work. One question -- How long can a company with presence in the High Street survive in today's internet shopping culture especially when around 40% of reviews are appalling 1 star, which is about the same amount as good reviews? Does the management look at these reviews and take any notice of them - there are no responses from the company or do they think there are still enough potential customers who have not yet had the priviledge of the 'Argos Experience'? Do they realise that 40% of reviewers won't be buying from Argos again? Only happy customers return and you do not make profit if consumers go next door to the competition and do not buy from you!!!

Left waiting like a complete lemon for absolute ages at the fast track (that's a laugh) counter at Letchworth Argos in Sainsburys having paid for item online the day before. No one there and I got blanked by the server at the other counter. Myself and the man behind me ended queuing up as normal which if I had have done in the first place would have been away from there fifteen minutes earlier. I won't be going there again, I'll stick with eBay and Amazon.

An absolute disgrace of a company, the sooner this company no longer exists the better. No customer skills at all, rude and no knowledge of consumer rights. Once they have your money beware if your goods are faulty, they will do all they can to fob you off and lie to you. You will get nowhere with them, they will drag out the scenario as long as possible so you get bored waiting months for anything to get done.

Tv Dvd combo not working and I cannot reorder a replacement without carrying it back to Sainsbury’s collection store first even though I spent the morning on the phone with technical team who confirmed fault with the DVD player. Then live chat was pointless telling me to carry it back to store. Thanks for that! Waste of time! They have my money so they should pull out all the stops to replace this with little inconvenience to me. Outrageous!

The worst customer service I have received In this store, the staff and manager are unfriendly, unhelpful, They all need training on how to treat customers. Rather then looking down on customers just because the customer is wanting to exchange a faulty item. The manager will say any lies, will argue and disagree just to prove the customer wrong. All because they don't want to exchange a faulty item. A disgrace!!

The Argos store in accrington is the worst store to shop in, The staff in the accrington store are not friendly or helpful. The manager will disagree and say anything to prove the customer wrong, he has no customer empathy. The Blackburn argos store has better customer understanding. All the staff and the manager are miserable, unhelpful unfriendly. I have been to this accrington store to shop several times and every time I have had bad customer experience from them. I will never shop there again.

Abismal company were lies are the standard and staff that think saying anything if it will get them a good rating on 'how did I do' regardless of it's correct information. Only Argos could think they going to keep customers. They don't deserve any customers - so I decided to stop being one. Here is why! Order/purchase a lot from Argos. Home delivery is a joke. Had about 50 per cent no shows. Had about 75% no shows for picking up items that I arranged to return. Unsurprising again this Saturday had delivery booked and got a call to say that they would not be delivering it that day but the next (Sunday) - as if we just have no lives and can be there at their beck and call. The order was for hundreds of pounds of items. I said ow no you will not be delivering tomorrow - cancel it - I will get it elsewhere. Earlier that same day the web site would not let me check out - took hours to resolve. Even earlier in the day I had live chat with so called customer services (please don't waste your time with the clowns) to ask a simple question - does Argos have an extended Christmas returns policy? 28 minutes later and I was still none the wiser - below is the actual exchange cut and pasted from the transcript supplied by Argos. Exchanged started at 1.50 and ended at 2.18 - this was just the chat time not any additional waiting time to be connected! Me - What is the Christmas returns policy? Do you have an extended period for returns? Argos - For which item Me - Any items given that they might for gifts Argos - i will look into thta for you Me - Thank you Argos - yes there is but you would have to ask in store when you buy the item Me - Why? Do do people have to ask for extened periods over Christams? There either is or there is not! Do you actual know the answer? Yes or no Argos - yes there is but in specific items so if you check with the store you can be sure Me - So what if people buy on line? How are we going to know? Are you saying that only instore can the extened period be granted? Who is Argos to say what is an is not a gift Argos - yes you don't have to ask you can get the extended period returns in store , online and delivered Me - So what is the period and for what and is there a link as you so vague I would not trust that I will not be stung and have to keep unwanted items after Christamas Argos - IT IS SIX WEEKS Me - Six weeks for when And what date did it start. This is the most excruiating attempt to get an answer - ever. Either give me a diffinitive answer with link to detaiuls or I will given you appropriare feed back of no help at all. This is ahocking bad for a so called Customer Services service. Argos - : from when the day you bought it , it started on the 30 of October and next time i will gladly pass you through to someone else if you want Me - So that means that if the gift is unwanted then you need to know befote Christams that it will be unsuiytable! Yes could you pass me on - that would great. Still require a link and I will be complianing to the CEO via his email adress about this chat.If you order on the 30th October you have to return them by the 4th Dec!!!!!!! Me - 11th Dec not 4th! What would the point Argos - i will look into that for you Me - Is that not what you said before? I have washing waiting to be put out Argos - sorry it was on the 1st and i understand that is inconvenient so i will ask my manager into what we can do Me - The 1st of What? Who ever assessed you as suitable for this I have no idea. Argos - have you bought the item of november Me - Why does it matter. Eother resolve this or I complain. I consider this time wasting Argos -there is nothing else i can do Me - So the answer was yyou dont know! So why did you offer to pass me on to manger? I will complain about your suitablity to be on here YOu wasted my time. And for nothing you can do - you did not do anything except wast my time! Argos- i meant to someone who might be able to help Me - Argos - Abdulrahman has transferred this interaction. Argos - The interaction has been transferred to Charley Me - Ending thjis now and putting in comp, laint and sen ding this transcript as proof. This is just nonesense bye bye After 28 minutes of this for a very simple question, I was not going to wait around for someone else so ended the chat. This is the quality of the customer services at Argos. I then got the no choice request for feed back of the operator - boy did I give it! Hours after this I then had the no show delivery so I emailed the CEO of Argos sending both the transcript as complaint 1 and the email that said they weren't delivering my order as complaint 2. I also had a dishwasher on order so I told them to cancel it as I was no longer willing to risk dealing with Argos who are way too big for it boots. Point out that the higher they climb the faster we will be waving to them when we are saying bye bye. Mentioning Woolworths, Pounword, Toys R Us, House of Fraser etc. Argos should be joining them as they don't deserve customers in my opinion. I got an email back that said: 'Thank you for your email I do apologise for the issues you have had when placing orders with Argos. I would like to confirm I have cancelled order number XXXXXXXXX (dishwasher)a full refund will go back to the Argos card within the next 3 to 5 working days. ' No explanation about why they again did not deliver; no, this is what we are doing to insure it does not happen again; no, this is what they should have done to get the order to you when they said they would - they did not even tell me whether they do or do not have an extended Christmas gift returns policy. This is the CEO'S office so is it not surprising that the live chat operates are required to be so pointless! Argos will LET YOU DOWN - don't risk it - especially not at Christmas. Shop around - cheaper is not always better - good service is worth its weight in gold. Many other sell at the same price ever cheaper so dont make Argos your automatic go to - your money is the king not Argos!
