Tv Dvd combo not working and I cannot reorder a replacement without carrying it back to Sainsbury’s collection store first even though I spent the morning on the phone with technical team who confirmed fault with the DVD player. Then live chat was pointless telling me to carry it back to store. Thanks for that! Waste of time! They have my money so they should pull out all the stops to replace this with little inconvenience to me. Outrageous!

no consumer rights wont take tablet back which all other retailer do take back. telephonic customer care said its on store desecration to decide if they take it back. asked me to try different Argos stores. should have ordered on amazon who provide free return. consumer rights are not respected at Argos..

The worst customer service I have received In this store, the staff and manager are unfriendly, unhelpful, They all need training on how to treat customers. Rather then looking down on customers just because the customer is wanting to exchange a faulty item. The manager will say any lies, will argue and disagree just to prove the customer wrong. All because they don't want to exchange a faulty item. A disgrace!!

The Argos store in accrington is the worst store to shop in, The staff in the accrington store are not friendly or helpful. The manager will disagree and say anything to prove the customer wrong, he has no customer empathy. The Blackburn argos store has better customer understanding. All the staff and the manager are miserable, unhelpful unfriendly. I have been to this accrington store to shop several times and every time I have had bad customer experience from them. I will never shop there again.

Abismal company were lies are the standard and staff that think saying anything if it will get them a good rating on 'how did I do' regardless of it's correct information. Only Argos could think they going to keep customers. They don't deserve any customers - so I decided to stop being one. Here is why! Order/purchase a lot from Argos. Home delivery is a joke. Had about 50 per cent no shows. Had about 75% no shows for picking up items that I arranged to return. Unsurprising again this Saturday had delivery booked and got a call to say that they would not be delivering it that day but the next (Sunday) - as if we just have no lives and can be there at their beck and call. The order was for hundreds of pounds of items. I said ow no you will not be delivering tomorrow - cancel it - I will get it elsewhere. Earlier that same day the web site would not let me check out - took hours to resolve. Even earlier in the day I had live chat with so called customer services (please don't waste your time with the clowns) to ask a simple question - does Argos have an extended Christmas returns policy? 28 minutes later and I was still none the wiser - below is the actual exchange cut and pasted from the transcript supplied by Argos. Exchanged started at 1.50 and ended at 2.18 - this was just the chat time not any additional waiting time to be connected! Me - What is the Christmas returns policy? Do you have an extended period for returns? Argos - For which item Me - Any items given that they might for gifts Argos - i will look into thta for you Me - Thank you Argos - yes there is but you would have to ask in store when you buy the item Me - Why? Do do people have to ask for extened periods over Christams? There either is or there is not! Do you actual know the answer? Yes or no Argos - yes there is but in specific items so if you check with the store you can be sure Me - So what if people buy on line? How are we going to know? Are you saying that only instore can the extened period be granted? Who is Argos to say what is an is not a gift Argos - yes you don't have to ask you can get the extended period returns in store , online and delivered Me - So what is the period and for what and is there a link as you so vague I would not trust that I will not be stung and have to keep unwanted items after Christamas Argos - IT IS SIX WEEKS Me - Six weeks for when And what date did it start. This is the most excruiating attempt to get an answer - ever. Either give me a diffinitive answer with link to detaiuls or I will given you appropriare feed back of no help at all. This is ahocking bad for a so called Customer Services service. Argos - : from when the day you bought it , it started on the 30 of October and next time i will gladly pass you through to someone else if you want Me - So that means that if the gift is unwanted then you need to know befote Christams that it will be unsuiytable! Yes could you pass me on - that would great. Still require a link and I will be complianing to the CEO via his email adress about this chat.If you order on the 30th October you have to return them by the 4th Dec!!!!!!! Me - 11th Dec not 4th! What would the point Argos - i will look into that for you Me - Is that not what you said before? I have washing waiting to be put out Argos - sorry it was on the 1st and i understand that is inconvenient so i will ask my manager into what we can do Me - The 1st of What? Who ever assessed you as suitable for this I have no idea. Argos - have you bought the item of november Me - Why does it matter. Eother resolve this or I complain. I consider this time wasting Argos -there is nothing else i can do Me - So the answer was yyou dont know! So why did you offer to pass me on to manger? I will complain about your suitablity to be on here YOu wasted my time. And for nothing you can do - you did not do anything except wast my time! Argos- i meant to someone who might be able to help Me - Argos - Abdulrahman has transferred this interaction. Argos - The interaction has been transferred to Charley Me - Ending thjis now and putting in comp, laint and sen ding this transcript as proof. This is just nonesense bye bye After 28 minutes of this for a very simple question, I was not going to wait around for someone else so ended the chat. This is the quality of the customer services at Argos. I then got the no choice request for feed back of the operator - boy did I give it! Hours after this I then had the no show delivery so I emailed the CEO of Argos sending both the transcript as complaint 1 and the email that said they weren't delivering my order as complaint 2. I also had a dishwasher on order so I told them to cancel it as I was no longer willing to risk dealing with Argos who are way too big for it boots. Point out that the higher they climb the faster we will be waving to them when we are saying bye bye. Mentioning Woolworths, Pounword, Toys R Us, House of Fraser etc. Argos should be joining them as they don't deserve customers in my opinion. I got an email back that said: 'Thank you for your email I do apologise for the issues you have had when placing orders with Argos. I would like to confirm I have cancelled order number XXXXXXXXX (dishwasher)a full refund will go back to the Argos card within the next 3 to 5 working days. ' No explanation about why they again did not deliver; no, this is what we are doing to insure it does not happen again; no, this is what they should have done to get the order to you when they said they would - they did not even tell me whether they do or do not have an extended Christmas gift returns policy. This is the CEO'S office so is it not surprising that the live chat operates are required to be so pointless! Argos will LET YOU DOWN - don't risk it - especially not at Christmas. Shop around - cheaper is not always better - good service is worth its weight in gold. Many other sell at the same price ever cheaper so dont make Argos your automatic go to - your money is the king not Argos!

My order was paid in full and supposed to be delivered last Sunday, when only 1 out of 4 items arrived and the rest is lost in limbo. Talking to customer support, my request was just dropped each time and never followed up.These days it became my job to contact them over and over again to find out where are the goods i paid for! I've been passed from Kim to Karen, then to Chris, then to Mandy..Good joke is that they don't even bother to log the history of the issue and keep on asking my details again. None of the so called 'Customer Support' was able to resolve anything so ombudsman it is. If anyone has similar issues i suggest not to waste time trying to resolve it with Argos - they are not capable to fix their own mess - one need to involve the regulator. Very low standard. Unacceptable

terrible customer service, I was a very loyal customer but think I will be shopping from Amazon from now on. Bought a wardrobe that was to be delivered a week later so I postponed travelling just to wait for it to get my room organized before I travelled for a few months for work. Got the wrong color after waiting a week and to replace it with the correct one they want me to wait for EIGHT MORE DAYS!! Yes!!! And I need to travel! They will only compensate my 10 percent for this terrible service, and on top of that they keep sending me incorrect emails about what they ought to replace, so I don't even know if I'll ever get the correct item!! Disgusting, thinking a 10 percent is an acceptable compensation

worst custumor service ever. very impolite , unprofessional , lack of manners and experience , liers. what else can I say... you guys should feel shamed of yourself.. my order was meant to be delivered today , so I took a day off..and guess what ..part of my order was delivered today and the rest I was told for tomorrow..really?! they admitted their mistake but won't fix it and won't deliver my stuff for today ..useless to say I have cancelled the 1.4K order. and I wouldn't bother with argos anymore.. Moreover Molly , The worst agent ever refused to put me through her supervisor who then refused to talk to me..I am still speechless . I have booked this day off and I am now sat at home frustrated . what a waste of time and energy and money ... Does argos bother ? of course not :)

Really unhappy about the experience i shopped with argos, I bought a monitor through Ebay argos. I changed my mind after purchasing it but it was too big to be refund through collect plus, therefore i have to call them to arrange a collect return from home. I have called three times in 4 days and every time i spoke to them, they told me i'll be expecting a call back from them later. But i have never got the phone calls! I dont know if this is a business strategy or what but if you are expecting or trying things, DO NOT buy from argos. Return policy is horrible, customer service not useful. Gonna need to try calling the FOURTH time.

Placed order in store for a PS4 due to be delivered the same afternoon between 2 and 6pm. Received text message at 2.45 pm advising delivery time will be between 7pm and 10pm. So therefore cancelled evening out as was a present for my son’s birthday. Called Argos to see why the time had changed person in call centre was clueless and not able to provide any info. Received a text message at 6.40 advising order had been dispatched and would be delivered between 7.45 and 9.45. Then received a further text message at 9.14 advising that they won’t be able to deliver today and will be in touch to rearrange delivery. So I have wasted all day Saturday waiting for a delivery to be let down big time. Spoke with the call centre whom could not explain why the items had not been delivered but did mention that no delivery’s on the scheduled round I was on have been made. Argos you should have informed me immediately not half an hour before the latest advised delivery time. Very poor and unreliable service. Will never use again.

Argos – I had the most horrible online shopping experience ever (system issue + unhelpful staff + try to make no access to telephone complaint) I placed an order on the website of Argos. After the payment, I did not receive any email order confirmation. I went back to the website of Argos to check my order record. I understand sometimes the email confirmation will be delayed. I surprisingly found the product that I wanted to buy still stayed in my trolley. I thought maybe I did not complete the purchase process, so I paid the second time. Then I was notified by the website there was something wrong with my card payment. I phoned my card company and I was told my first transaction was approved immediately by my card company when I placed the order. My card company refused the second payment because they had the concern that I paid the exact same amount of the money within less than 3 minutes from the same place. I appreciated my card company’s concern. Then I called Argos at the number 0345 640 2020 at 13:17 today (17th Nov 2018). Firstly I talked to a lady and I was told she would transfer me to the delivery team to help me. I wondered without any order number how they could help me. However, I chose to trust them. Unfortunately, I was hung up during the transfer. (This phone call lasted 3 minutes) I called 0345 640 2020 again at 13:20 . I had to repeat the same story again. The second lady answered my phone also mentioned that she would transfer me to the delivery team. I asked her to make sure I would not be hung off during the transfer. Finally, I talked to the delivery team. I was told by a man I needed to wait for 24 hours so Argos would transfer the money that I had paid from the third party to their own account. I just questioned that why it did not show the order was completed as my card company approved the payment immediately and the product was still in my trolley. I mentioned the whole process was very confusing, which made me paid twice and my card company had the concern of fraud. I do not need to know all the backstage process, as a customer, I just need to know whether this order has been completed or not. Then this man told me how many transactions failed due to technical problems. This is nothing to do with my issue directly. Instead of helping me, he was telling me something that is not useful to sort out my problem. What I knew is I have paid, but Argos did not tell me I had paid either by email confirmation or on its own website. It looked that I have paid for nothing. Then I asked him to transfer me to someone, such as customer service department to make the complaint. He told me that I should wrote an email for complaint. I mentioned I just wanted to make a complain over the phone. I was told if I phone to complain I would end up to the same person, which was him. I decided to stopping talking to him. During this 15-miunte phone call, I was not provided any useful information or help to deal with my issue and there was no sorry at all. Furthermore, it seems the last person I talked to try to stop me to make any complaint (do you believe that you call the same number, you will always end up with the same person? If it was like this, it would save us loads of trouble). I felt helpless and upset. I spent 30 minutes but I did not make one shopping online and I still need to follow up the next day that whether Argos has received my payment. I made up my mind I will never shop in Argos in the future to make my life easier. When you want to shop Argos online, do you want to be in the same trouble with helpless staff? I do not mind any problem, if I will be provided some help and I can escalate the issue if the person I talk to cannot help me.

I have purchased a printer advertised with a cash back offer only to find upon registration that the offer expired 1 day prior to my purchase. The t&c's were not available on the app so I assumed all was good. I'm now down £30 thanks Argos

Appalling, cynical service and quality. I ordered six children's gifts online and every box but one arrived badly damaged, with one old and dirty. Collection was from a local Sainsburys: as soon as the bar code is scanned the item is considered delivered and so although they and I could see that the items had been delivered badly damaged they were now my responsibility. Argos tell me that although the fault is theirs (x5) the onus is now on me to take the items to a local store to exchange. I shopped online to save time. Lesson learned. I normally order from Debenhams or John Lewis and I won't make the same mistake of going to Argos again.

Terrible, they lie to you about your rights saying after 28 days you cannot get repair or refund even though law states you have up to 6 years with a washing machine - sold me a faulty washing machine and they refuse to look at evidence as 6 months have passed plus they say they will respond to a third party but don't - filthy liars

Ordered a fridge/freezer and was offered the following Tues/Wed/Thursday as delivery dates, so chose Wed. Had a phonecall a few days later to say delivery would be about 2 weeks. Complained about this and was told they could deliver on Monday between 2 and 6. Even earlier. However they rang at 11.30 to say they were early as could not wait until 2 oclock as we had arranged. Ended up cancelling the order.SHOCKING SERVICE

I ordered a gift set with same-day delivery as I needed a gift for somebody straight away I waited in or day as it was due to be delivered between 2 and 6 p.m. however nothing I had to ring customer services to be told they would be redelivered tomorrow, previously when I had contacted customer services I was giving four different reasons as to why and reassured that it was on its way. I am annoyed that I wasn't even told that it wasn't coming or sent an email or a text
