Ordered a Keter garden storage box weighing 20kg. Upon opening box, discovered that item was damaged so telephoned Argos. Pointless, as I was just kept on hold. Following 3 attempts and a wait of 30 minutes, had online chat with a female who, unable to arrange collection of damaged item, put me on hold for another 30 minutes until chat picked up by Hannah who arranged collection of item the following day between 07.00 hrs and 13.00 hrs. At 10.06 the following day, received SMS stating 'great news! Abdul, your Argos driver is approximately 4 minutes away from collecting your item(s)'. Twenty minutes later having failed to arrive, I called him on the number supplied and he advised me that Covid-19 precluded him from collecting my damaged item! Second 30 minute online chat with Imtinan who claimed that collection had been rearranged for that evening between 19.00 hrs and 23.00 hrs. Stayed up until 23.45 hrs. No one called to collect the item and I did not receive any communication regarding the no-show. 17th May: Following another 30 minute wait, 3rd online chat with Ian who wrote 'I'm sorry this is a small goods order and you have come through to large goods. I will need to transfer you'. I was promptly put on hold for another 30 minutes until that chat was picked up by Lucie who claimed that she had rearranged collection for this evening between 19.00 hrs and 23.00 hrs. She wrote 'the driver will be in touch with a two hour window tonight for collection and again when he's about 20 mins away'. Surprise! Item not collected and no attempt was made to contact me. Is this a deliberate ploy on the part of Argos to defraud its customers? Needless to state, I shall NEVER shop with Argos again.

Why is nothing ever in stock? Seriously! Anything I go to buy from Argos is out of stock (even before the pandemic). And it isn't just on a few select items, let me give you an example. I searched "dumbbells" and got a list of items on the app. I clicked on each and every one of them (about 15 items), and they were ALL out of stock. I tried various sporting equipment with the same results. Even stores nearby have no stock. Again, this is not a result of the pandemic, this is common for Argos regardless. I once mentioned this to one of the staff in Otley and she said "Well we have over 8000 items in the stock room." What? Is that 8000 pokemon cards? Because you could have fooled me. They seriously need to sort their sh*t out.

Terrible service-stay away from ordering online -I ordered a set of 6 dining chairs. I called 5 working days to cancel my order and I was promised a full refund in 3-5 days. Then I get the chairs delivered to my door a couple of days after. I called their customer service after being 1 hour on the phone again and I was advised that there was noting that they can do and that I need to wait they don't know how long for someone to come collect them to get my refund.The lady on the phone advised that she would even try speak to her manager and call me back the following day but I am still waiting on a call. Now I have to call again Monday and wait another hour on the phone.

Delivery is shocking false messages saying it will be delivered in next hour. It never come this is my 3rd day now sat waiting and it's disgusting. Never will I order anything from Argos again. I'm fuming!!!!

Absolutely disgusted with Argos. Purchased an item for delivery which arrived over 3 weeks ago. Began building it straight away, realised there were two missing parts, I rang them, waiting on the phone for over an hour to speak to them and they terminated the call. The only way to contact them now is via private chat on social media. I have been waiting over 3 weeks now to soesk to someone. Their customer service is very poor. Yes theres a pandemic but if you cant deliver a standard of customer service then stop taking money off people... simples.

Tried to place my order online, they took my payment but no order confirmation email or any notification that order is processed. The payment is pending now on my account and apparently will be refunded within 5 working days. Which i hope will happen!!!This is unacceptable!!!! To charge for something that I will not even receive. Would not recommend Argos to anyone.:(

Ordered goods, paid for delivery. Was suppose to have been delivered on 10th May, goods did not arrive and is marked as ‘received’ on my orders. Cannot get through to live chat or telephone, very bad customer service. Will not use again. Happy to take my money though.

JUST AWFUL!! Received damaged item. Took two weeks to finally get through to helpline. Phone service terrible too! Rude, infantile customer service representative (CALLUM). Imagine this person to be very immature with very little experience. Such an unprofessional company to deal with. They must pay peanuts because their customers are left to deal with monkeys!!!

I placed an order a week ago and they took my money but no confirmation email or anything online to prove I placed the order ... after 3 hours of getting cut off the phone and cut off the live chat they said my order had not gone through and the money would be refunded. One week later still no refund. It was for £160. So they have taken £160 from me for nothing! I will never use Argos again. Disgraceful.

Terrible customer service. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to the reviews. I think Customer service is unknown for Argo, specially for delivery part. Do not waste your time and money.

I placed an order on the argos website for £163, tried to pay by paypal and it kept saying there was a problem so I had to pay using my debit card. Same error message came up saying unable to place order. Checked my bank account and the £163 had come out of my account. Tried to ring Argos, after an hour got cut off. Got in touch via Twitter and received a very generic message saying the funds would go back into my account in 3 - 5 days. No apology or explanation. Then found out that this has been happening to customers for over 2 weeks. They were fully aware of the problem but continued to allow customers to place orders that would never been confirmed whilst taking the funds from their bank account. I am so angry. They should fix the problem and not allow this to continue to happen to their customers. Just shows how little they care about their customers. Absolutely disgraceful.

To be avoided at all costs. They operate in full contempt to the law, selling goods without accepting returns. Their website is designed to make it impossible to contact them. I had to report a fraud to Paypal in order to be able to return my item, as I was entitled to by law. Utterly disgusting.

Ordered an item worth £119 of argos only for them to take the money out of my account but no clarification the order went through or was ordered in the first place. Absolutley horrendous waiting just under an hour to talk to customer service.

They are requiring that you call to confirm delivery date, but their email and live chat isn’t working because of Covid. They also aren’t answering their phone. Literally no way to get your item or cancel after you pay.
