Damaged cooker, I found scratches dents and screws missing. Have been trying for three days to contact Argos no answer on the phone and no answer on live chat. Three days trying with no luck. Very disappointed

Customer service? What customer service, it's none existent. I have been trying to contact them for the past 2 hrs. The live chat is a load of shambles. I have logged my details several timed only to thrown off or told they're too busy. I managed to speak to someone in the complaints team who seemed more eager to transfer the call to the retail section than log my complaint. She eventually puts me through only to be on hold for over 45 mins. This is appalling. Will never order from argos again!

The worst, shortest, most unprofessional customer service I have ever experienced in my life, it’s been almost one month I have placed this order and paid 4 quids for delivery, but never received my product, so called live chat/phone call service never exist, was forced to call through premium number, has been charged nearly 80 quids for that, I am done with Argos. Thnx for nothing.

Useless / non existent customer service. No chance of ever getting through on the phone or live chat and 0 responsibility during busy times to maintain standards. Good chance you will want to slip into that great dark abyss before you get any close to discussing a resolution. 0/10 would not recommend to a friend

worst place to buy from during covid. ive been trying to call them for days to discuss an order for which there is no help online, they dont pick up. I try the live chat many many times a day, i just get and automated 'we are busy sorry', and ive tried to facebook message them too, nothing. Seems like they've just switched off their customer service and used covid as an excuse. terrible services!!!

Item not delivered when stated. Can not get in touch to speak with anyone. Waited 45 mins on live chat to be told they did not know what happened to my order and to try and contact them again in 24-48 hours.

COVID19 = No customer service Just brought a fridge freezer which requires 2 people to handle. I live in a flat in a converted house on the first floor, which requires climbing up stairs to enter the flat. Upon delivery of my very large and very heavy item, I was told the delivery men were unable to take it upstairs due to COVID19. I gave space for social distancing to remain in place (even though there was no social distancing between the delivery men themselves). I didn't even need them to place it in my kitchen, just to get it up the stairs. But this was refused after several times of asking. So my fridge freezer was left at the base of my step in the entry to my flat, which meant I was unable to even close my flat door. Whilst I understand the need to protect staff this is a stupid policy that endangers people. I am 3 months pregnant and had to drag a heavy appliance upstairs and risk a miscarriage or back injury. If I had been an elderly or disabled person would the drivers had done the same?

Been trying to order an item for click and collect, which you have to pay for online. When you reach the payment page the drop down options for the card expiry date is not working, so cannot finish the order. Cannot get through on phone, and chat is useless telling you theyre busy and try again another time tried contacting on messenger too but havent received a reply at all. ive given up now on trying to order this item and will go elsewhere

I ordered a Nintendo switch and 3 games for same night delivery (on Sunday 17th times off 7-11) at around 9 I got a text saying my driver was two minutes away. Half an hour passes and still no delivery was made. We tend the driver to see if he was lost (our address can be difficult to find) they didn’t answer. We left it a while and phoned again this time leaving a voice mail. We thought maybe she’s lost he’ll find us. Our delivery slot ended it was after 11pm. I went on their website for help. Which is this worst layout possible. Can’t ring because it’s not click and collect. Sent them a Facebook message and a tweet heard nothing back even today (Tuesday 19th) still morning back. Couldn’t go on the online chat because it was after 8pm so it wasn’t active. The next morning I’m kicked off live chat 3 times before i eventually get through to someone. My order has been makes as delivered so the conversation is cut off! Ok so where is my order? I try the chat again and eventually get through. They’re good and tell me they’ve phoned the store and my item was sent and the driver (who’s name I have) never returned it. Am I sure no one else in my household has taken it in. If that was the case I would have my order and not be sat wasting time now. I’m assured that someone would be calling me in the morning to discuss my order. The next day arrives I spend almost 3 hours explaining my situation to four people as i am passed from pillow to post. Again they tell me that my case is being looked at but isn’t a priority. Not a priority I’ve ordered over £280 worth of stuff that’s not been delivered. I then spend more time explaining to the lady on the live chat I do not have my order and she’s escalated my problem and assured me someone will phone today. I will never use Argos again after this is resolved. I understand we are dealing with COVID-19 and it affects things but my order should have been with me two days ago! They’re quick to take your money but slow at resolving problems and don’t even bring the items you’ve paid for. I’m hoping for it to be resolved today (Tuesday 19th) as this is disgusting

I placed an order for Braun Beard Trimmer and Hair Clippers last night - or did I? I eventually found an item in stock and available for delivery to my address (!) so logged on to my Argos account and placed the order for delivery tonight. I had a text message confirming the order but then the computer screen showed an error message. Checked my account, and the order was not there but there was still 1 item in my trolley. I clicked on My Trolley and the page refreshed itself to show a clear trolley, so I went back to my orders - still nothing, but there was again 1 item in my trolley. Went back to my trolley and the item was back in the trolley but was now Out of Stock! There was no low stock warning on the product and I doubt that there could have been many in my area shopping for hair trimmers at 3.30am! No change this morning so went to Order Tracking, typed in the details and apparently my order, which may or  may not have been placed, will be delivered tonight and I will be called an hour before? I have tried ringing (cut-off) and online chat (cut-off twice!) so not sure where to go now. Also, I didn't realise that 5 year olds could shop online but they must do as I can find no other explanation for their website having a picture of a dinosaur (really?) with "Oops, how embarrassing, something's gone wrong", plus, in the Contact Us section: Ring, ring (what's wrong with Phone?) and Scribble, scribble!!!  Agree with other reviewers that Argos using Covid-19 as an excuse for very poor service.

I ordered a present for my granddaughter on April 26th. Delivery was promised for the next day!! Today is May 18th and I have heard nothing. The website says "sit tight, we are processing your order". Live chat is never available and telephone response is for "special cases only". Will never order from them again. Oh, and when I submitted a review, they refused to publish it.

Ordered a Keter garden storage box weighing 20kg. Upon opening box, discovered that item was damaged so telephoned Argos. Pointless, as I was just kept on hold. Following 3 attempts and a wait of 30 minutes, had online chat with a female who, unable to arrange collection of damaged item, put me on hold for another 30 minutes until chat picked up by Hannah who arranged collection of item the following day between 07.00 hrs and 13.00 hrs. At 10.06 the following day, received SMS stating 'great news! Abdul, your Argos driver is approximately 4 minutes away from collecting your item(s)'. Twenty minutes later having failed to arrive, I called him on the number supplied and he advised me that Covid-19 precluded him from collecting my damaged item! Second 30 minute online chat with Imtinan who claimed that collection had been rearranged for that evening between 19.00 hrs and 23.00 hrs. Stayed up until 23.45 hrs. No one called to collect the item and I did not receive any communication regarding the no-show. 17th May: Following another 30 minute wait, 3rd online chat with Ian who wrote 'I'm sorry this is a small goods order and you have come through to large goods. I will need to transfer you'. I was promptly put on hold for another 30 minutes until that chat was picked up by Lucie who claimed that she had rearranged collection for this evening between 19.00 hrs and 23.00 hrs. She wrote 'the driver will be in touch with a two hour window tonight for collection and again when he's about 20 mins away'. Surprise! Item not collected and no attempt was made to contact me. Is this a deliberate ploy on the part of Argos to defraud its customers? Needless to state, I shall NEVER shop with Argos again.

Why is nothing ever in stock? Seriously! Anything I go to buy from Argos is out of stock (even before the pandemic). And it isn't just on a few select items, let me give you an example. I searched "dumbbells" and got a list of items on the app. I clicked on each and every one of them (about 15 items), and they were ALL out of stock. I tried various sporting equipment with the same results. Even stores nearby have no stock. Again, this is not a result of the pandemic, this is common for Argos regardless. I once mentioned this to one of the staff in Otley and she said "Well we have over 8000 items in the stock room." What? Is that 8000 pokemon cards? Because you could have fooled me. They seriously need to sort their sh*t out.

Terrible service-stay away from ordering online -I ordered a set of 6 dining chairs. I called 5 working days to cancel my order and I was promised a full refund in 3-5 days. Then I get the chairs delivered to my door a couple of days after. I called their customer service after being 1 hour on the phone again and I was advised that there was noting that they can do and that I need to wait they don't know how long for someone to come collect them to get my refund. The lady on the phone advised that she would even try speak to her manager and call me back the following day but I am still waiting on a call. Now I have to call again Monday and wait another hour on the phone.
