“Well Covid is here and will be part of our lives for sometime to come.
We shop at Asda Worcester regularly and due to global issues have adapted to a new way to shop to ensure everyone is safe.
I must say the standard of some staff at the Worcester store is absolutely appalling. I am not directing my complaints at the majority of staff at the store as they are hard working polite members of the team.
My complaint is directed at the staff on the bread processing dept, and in particular female member called Becky, she is rude, and not at all helpful.
We are going through a difficult time and Covid is giving some workers and companies a passport to ruin the business.
If you don't or can't slice bread then please just explain to YOUR customers. You now have a sign up staying no slicing bread.
When the last take over was finalised I believed there would be improvements, how wrong was I.
I do wonder if the Issa brothers know how their business is being operated in Worcester.”
“I have cancelled two delivery slots for Asda as it is no point keeping them as they do not have lots of the items that I want and it is happening every week now and one of the items is Asda diet cola and the alternative is Asda sugar cola which is nothing like what I want it would take me ages to list everything that I have been let down by Asda the store is Asda Filton store and no one can drive for medical reasons and we have no transport or support nearby”
“Cancelled my online order 14 minutes before it was due. No real reason just said
We only cancel if we absolutely have to. For example because of really bad weather, driver illness, road accident or serious technical failure.
Thanks Asda as I’m locked down and have no way to get to the shops that’s great!.
No delivery slots available now for 2 days.
Waste of time!”
“Avoid at all costs.
This is my story of Asda. On Saturday, I was mistreated by a member of staff in front of my 4 years old son. This happened at Asda Shepshed. I called the call centre and the person harassed me and hung up whilst I was explaining. I called after couple of hours, they said they could raise these issues internally but I wouldn't get any feedback since it was internal matter. Then I called again today and they offered me £15 but refusing to send me a written apology. They redirected me to their website, a section which didn't exist ... This is the first company ever that I have seen with no complain mechanism. I decided to probably give up, but that won't make this world a better place.”
“Ridiculous
I had been shopping for over a year at ASDA. sometimes the ASDA did not have some products and sent replacements, so far so good. sometimes I didn't want some replacement products and I sent them by the driver, I received the refund email minutes later. i spend an average of £300 every month on asda. It went on like this for a year and a half. For the last three consecutive weeks I had problems with the deliveries. first time delivery should arrive at 3p.m. I waited until 5pm and called for justifications, they told me that the driver had had some problems and was late, that he would arrive in an hour, so far so good, he arrived in half an hour. the second time the same story, the excuse was that there was a problem loading the truck, the delivery was scheduled to arrive at 1p.m and arrived at 6.35 pm I contacted the customer again and they offered me a refound of £5 for the inconvenience . eggs came broken back to driver and never got refound, meat worth more than £5 missing (didn't complain because i should have figured it out with the driver present.). last time they emailed the substitutes and confirmed the order. everything was perfect until I received a message with the cancellation of delivery (I have a baby and I needed the products to be able to make him dinner). I tried to reschedule and they only had slots for the next day, even though I was displeased with the situation I said okay. The surprise was that I was asked again for the visa card codes, when I asked why I had to PAY AGAIN and that within 2 - 5 days I would receive a refund for the first time. so i just asked for a refund and closed my door to asda. I never made a complaint in my life.I'm a passive person and I know we all make mistakes, problems happen, but 3 times in a row? ask me to pay again what I had already paid? is not acceptable. I believe customers deserve respect.
I just remember that for over a year I shopped at asda and it was always the same senior driver who handed me the orders. once delayed 10 minutes and apologized. three weeks ago everything fell apart with new drivers”
“I have spent a lot of time reading the reviews other customers and I am horrified by what I have seen. My issue is about pricing and their bulk buy deals. I have had 2 issues with substituted goods and increased bills. To keep things simple my latest problem came when I received my updated order on delivery day saying I had 1 substituted (cheaper) item because my pizza deal was not available but not to worry as I would still get the deal. I was puzzled that despite this promise my bill increased. There were no other changes. I tried to get to the bottom of this with the delivery driver, the local store, Resolver, customer services abroad and in Leeds. Customer services hung up on me. My next step was an email to the chief executive who has not replied. Having read the reviews I can't say I'm surprised but prior to seeing these I honestly thought my issue would be easily sorted. Since it is a pricing issue I feel I should go to trading standards. The amount I was overcharged isn't great in the grand scheme of things but I would be interested if anyone else has had the same problem. I wonder whether if many items were substituted whether people actually realise they have been wrongly charged.”
“The delivery was cancelled even though I was told by customer services that it would 100% be delivered today. The only reason I found out it was cancelled was because I called customer services again. They didn't even bother to call/email!!!! They have taken the money from my bank account and I've had to re-order and pay for my shopping twice now!!! I will never again use ASDA!!!!!”
“Will not be shopping here any more.
Bought items at special offer but charged full price at till. Not the first time this has happened....asda must be raking in the pounds with many customers who don't check their bills!!
Staff are off hand and surly...not a pleasant place to shop.
When customers are spending money and keeping staff in jobs I think mutual respect is a must.
Not a pleasant shopping experience.....you've lost a customer....”
“I purchased 2 packs of rolls for delivery which I do every week, both pack went out of dat the next day which was a Thursday when I intended them for a barbecue the weekend.
I was refused a refund NOT A VERY GOOD SERVICE AT ALL AND NOY HAPPY”
“ROMFORD LIBERTY 2 CENTRE: (around 20:00) 2/7/21.
Item price wasn't listed, asked a member of staff who ignored us for a while whilst on phone, when she had FINISHED her phone call, she said she couldn't help as she was doing something (accepted that), went to Self Checkout & asked a member of staff who was RIGHT BY A SELF CHECKOUT if she could give me a price, she said she couldn't & advised me to go to Customer Services! IT'S OK ASDA I'LL DO YOUR JOB FOR YOU! I used the Self Checkout MYSELF then LEFT THE ITEM THERE! Now a member of staff had to take it back! The 2nd member of staff COULD have checked for me but couldn't be bothered or was too th*ck to do so. LAZY, IGNORANT STAFF.”
“Thank you Asda for leaving two keyworkers and their baby without their shopping delivery because of covid!
Apparently the drivers can't bring the shopping to our third floor flat "because of covid"
He was able to come up to the door to tell us the shopping was downstairs though...
Customer support were useless and didn't even offer us a redelivery. They told us to check the website for a redelivery, which was only available in 6 days.
Thanks again Asda Kingston!”
“I used to think quite highly of Asda, but regrettably I feel I have no option but to express my exasperation towards levels of sloppiness experienced within the last few months. Firstly finding a loaf of Kingsmill bread with a human bite radius chunks bitten out the first 4 slices. Then buying a naan bread which was 5 weeks out of date. But the final nail has to be the 3 employees guarding a exit door next to a trolley stall, in which if the doors are open, you can't really see the no entry sign. 3 wastes of spaces to complete a job which is not going to make the slightest bit of difference in the long run. Money well spend there then. Maybe you could make yourselves useful and check the dates of the products and whether or not they've been partially eaten prior to going on the shelf, rather than 3 guards on a door to make sure no-one breaths the the same direction as people barging past others everywhere you go anyway. I think your time is up asda.”
“I do my weekly shop at Asda Fratton in Portsmouth & it's terribly inconsistent in maintaining product supplies. Every week there's always something I'm unable to buy as it's missing from the shelf or they've removed it from sale. I realise that sometimes this is possibly because of supplier problems or that the product is discontinued. Having visited other supermarket chains to see that some of the products are still produced is frustrating to find.
The veg section seems like it lacks any quality control with fresh vegetables looking like they are already well past the sale buy date & expensive. Seriously considering shopping elsewhere where products are plentiful & demand is catered for. Example: Jersey New potatoes are of course seasonal & when so are available at Asda & sold losely. I have managed to purchase them only once after visiting the store on 4 different days within the week since my first purchase. The section where they're kept had an empty tray along with an empty plastic bag they're supplied in on the last 3 visits. I asked an attendant when would they be restocking & was told that she didn't know & just to keep popping in, I explained that is what I had been doing but to no avail ! If they are in high demand surely more should be ordered, seems like nobody is ordering stock correctly, please fix it Asda or lose a customer.”
“Asda store in Cannock Staffs is a complete waste of space. Most of the staff are rude with a couldn't care less attitude. The order pickers are rude, lean over you, block the aisles. And as for the stock well the selection is abysmal. Today no selection of brown bread, no selection of dog food, 3 bags of Maris piper potatoes, empty shelf of some cleaning materials to name but a few. Friday is a prime shopping day fir goodness sake. I for one will be changing the store I shop at because I am sick of Asda.”
“@asda (Lewisham ) has soiled duva items (bodily fluids) on their shelves in their packaging which also wasn't even one of their brands it's was a Sainsbury's duvet in their packaging. When i complained and asked for a refund or exchange, they'll loudly acused me of doing it in front of other customers and staff! That I had done this! That i am lieing! And this mistake can't possibly of happened so i must of done it!
They want to use the fact that I ended up getting extremely upset for not getting my exchange after it was cancelled in front of me and bluntly accused of theft by swapping my own apparently duvet for a new one which then caused me to start shouting in the shop as an excuse not to investigate especially when I had asked the manager still refused to investigate. The store manager want to make accusations and take my statutory right for an investigation.
I am the one who had one manager saying well this has never happened before so this can't be true as if first time mistake can't happen and I'm just a liar and the other male manager showing no kindness what so ever saying this is not possible you must of went home and swapped duva I'm not giving you the exchange he had immediate judgement on me did not like to listen to my story he had already believed in his head was true and yet I'm supposed to stay calm
They also just allowed the staff members to continuously make comments "she definitely did it" while also given me dirty looks they all loudly making assumptions the managers also allowed their staff members continuously gather around when I was having this conversation with them and allowed that 10 of the staff members to all gathered at the exit as I'm walking out the store and allowed one of their staff members to make a sarcastic comment as I walked out as well I cannot explain how this happened I can only tell you my story which is simple i picked the product off their store shelves and that's the duva that came out! at the end of the day the customers only has their word and they refuse to listen to mine they showed me no kindness or consideration it's also upsetting that I am a regular customer in their store most of their staff members have seen me I am a regular I live in the area and (@asda Lewisham) was my local supermarket so to get this judgement and treatment from them was very unexpected and very hurtful. I then began my own self investigation and called customer service and asked for it to be done a member of customer service then told me I need to go back to the store and ask them for a CPQC check inwhich i was still refused by the male store manager. During that seconded visit to the store a third party was present and she had then accused him of being a racist for not offering to investigate all the exchange I was then told by customer service that the manager is using that reason the comment from a third person as excuse to not do the investigations I found that to be very double standard and i am the one he is accused of being a dirty person and a theif and not offered an investigation or refund but when the managers accused of being a racist and this is how he reacts. @asdacustomerservice don't actually offer a service nor take responsibility for the behaviour of the staff in their stores. Called to complain about how I was treated and was told I needed to go back to the store to ask them to investigate. #selfinvestigation #fail #asdapolicingthemselves and after I had attempted myself investigation the only email I got back was I was banned from the store based on the racist remark done by a third party and abusive remarks( e.g. me getting upset and shouting in the store) and that head office nor the store would offer me a refund. Disgusting customer service! no loyalty to the regular customers! Petty behaviour! @asda can make false accusations all round and now i can't go back. Who wants to shop in a store where YOU are abused and assaulted and then get accused of something you didn't do #falseaccusations #imnotaracist #liars”
“Norwich- Been using Asda for a few years now but started using them less as could never get a delivery slot to suit so started shopping at Morrisons. I started using Asda again as I was getting a bit tired of having to go in store to Morrison. Well I placed an online order and delivery was beetween 3pm and 5pm. By 6.30pm I had still not received my delivery so I called their call center as it showed on the tracking it was still out for delivery but I sensed a problem as they have never been late. The woman on the phone told me that the driver could not find my house and cancelled my order, no call, nothing, I have the easiest house to find and they have delivered to me a few years now. The drivers would even call me to let me know if they were early or late, this chap just decided not to bother. Called the call center and demanded to speak to a human who was going to solve this problem as the woman told me to re order...um I think not. After a long debate a man came to the phone and said that he would send a new driver that same evening which was now 9pm, they did has they said..But the second driver looked hacked off because his shift ended and now he had to clean up his colleages mess. I then unpack my order to find one item missing but paid for and a empty sealed box of ice-cream cones.. yes I kid you not. And a item I never ordered. Moral of the story, Asda Im a customer and you will solve my problem that you caused even if I have to go to the directors home in my pj's and make him deliver my goods. Sadly you never offerd any compensation for your stuff up but at least you delivered my goods. Ill just have to use less of Asda and more of Morrisons.”
“First on line order never again. Delivery booked 5-7pm texted at 6.15 to say order on way. 8.20 no sign. According to Asda customer service Drivers not tracked (god help them if they were in trouble) no idea where deliveryit is. Refund 3 days! So no food and shopping money with Asda how does my family get fed now? Do Asda care - not likely. Shopped in store for years but the service and moreover aftercare means I will prob now use Sainsbury’s or Tesco. Automatic failure penalties should be implemented for this sort of thing. Glad I’m not a single parent on strict budget if you are do not use this service. Asda should be ashamed perhaps they are the ones who need .... every little help. #fumingatasda.”
