I had one of the worst experiences ever with BudgetAir. After purchasing airline tickets, I waited several hours without receiving any confirmation or ticket issuance. Shockingly, there was no customer service number available, and I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time just to connect with a support agent via chat.
Once I finally reached someone, I asked for the tickets to be issued immediately or to cancel the booking. The agent informed me that it would take up to 72 hours to issue the tickets—completely unacceptable and unlike any other travel service I’ve used, where tickets are typically issued within minutes.
To make matters worse, they demanded $110 per person as an administrative fee to cancel the booking. This is outrageous and feels like a deliberate attempt to trap customers.
Overall, this company operates with poor service, lack of transparency, and questionable practices. If I could give a rating lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. Stay away from BudgetAir.”

I recently booked a flight with BudgetAir by mistake and faced an incredibly frustrating experience. Despite providing evidence that the airline does not charge the exorbitant fee they claimed, I was still charged nearly $1000. Customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive throughout the process. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options. This experience has been a nightmare, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same situation.”

“There should be a zero star rating available especially for this outfit. It hurts having to give them one, utterly undeserved, star. They changed the information in the passenger name field, substituting a computer-generated completely different name for my own name which I had properly entered to match my passport. They then told me that the airline would not change the passenger name and that I would have to cancel and re-book. I then successfully got the airline to correct the passenger name, which cost me £40. BudgetAir refuses to refund me the £40 outlay which I incurred because of their own misconduct, and are in stubborn, customer-hostile and preposterous denial that there is anything wrong with their system.”

Couldn't get a hold of them, no phone numbers so changed flight to an earlier one online, paid the $409 to change the flight and they will not reimburse those fees even though Qantas confirmed all change of flights due to this natural event were free of charge. Following the registration of my withdrawal request, the broker first denied it, withheld the full amount of my profit from the account, and prevented me from withdrawing the profit. Despite my repeated attempts to contact both the email broker and the official Telegram support, they have not replied to any of my correspondence and have simply ignored it. “Budget air booked us on a flight that later got cancelled and we were told that our refund was approved. We have been going back and forth over email with them for over 6 months for $2500. They refuse to give us a customer service number to call and we just keep getting the same email over and over again from different people saying they’re looking into it with no resolution. We have also gotten other peoples emails because they just change the name in the header and send the same message to everyone so there are definitely other people in the same situation as us. They are 100% a scam company because when we called the airline, the airline told us that our tickets were never cancelled and there was no refund requested by budgetair. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!”
“If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with BudgetAir has been an absolute nightmare.
I tried to book a flight with them and got an email saying the booking was unsuccessful because of a payment error. Based on that, I bought tickets elsewhere. Then, without telling me, they re-attempted the payment later and took the money from my account for a flight I was told wasn’t booked.
When I reached out to customer service, they denied any wrongdoing and tried to shift the blame on me numerous times. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they blamed my bank and brushed off my concerns. They’ve wasted hours of my time and caused so much stress, and they still haven’t refunded the money they wrongly charged me.—I have proof from their own email and my browser history showing I never went back to their site after the failed booking.
BudgetAir’s lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is shocking. If you don’t want to deal with a company that clearly doesn’t care about its customers or their money, don’t book with them. I’ll never use them again, and I’ll warn anyone I know to stay far away.”
“BUDGETAIR SCAMMERS!!! Dont book with them!!! Client service absolutely useless! Booked a flight,(they made some changes later on - what is completely understandable and acceptable), everything was fine till travelling day came - couldnt check in online it said we have to do it at the airport. We arrived at the airport and this is where all fun started, they couldnt check us in the flight!!! Some information was missing from Budget Air or ETIHAD (they are blaming each other for that). No help at all, hours on the phone with BudgetAir and Etihad - never boarded the plane! Flight was changed to next day and cancelled by ETIHAD again!because budget air didnt complete reissuing tickets. They did nothing to fly us out!!! It was 3 week family trip in Malaysia and Thailand!!!! We also had internal flights, hotels booked - we lost everything!!!! Kids are devastated unable to even talk for two days, there were so stressed by all this!!!!”
“Never book with this website! They are a total scam. Booked a transfer flight Malaysia to Tokyo WITH luggage. I was travelling solo only to get to the check in and be told I didn’t have luggsge. Contacted Budget Air where they claimed to have emailed me about an “error” in their system not being able to process my luggage. Needless to say this cost me £265 a ticket then an extra £144 for my luggage because the airline refused to give me my passport back until I had paid for luggage. I’ve since complained to budget air and asked that they share the email they claim to have sent informing me about my luggage cancellation. You would think this would be easy; find email in their system, click forward…….wrong! I’ve had numerous non related emails and a screenshot which could have been made on word but they can’t email me the original email because it doesn’t exist. I would never book these again and encourage people to stay clear of such a scam of a company”
“Budgetair is a scam agent who will go to great lengths to take money from people. My husband booked his ticket through their site and was told that the booking failed and to redo it. He then redid the whole booking immediately and it seemed to go through. Within minutes he received confirmation and then received. a second confirmation. He contacted the agent right away to e plain the error in their system. The customer rep said someone would email and the next day they flatly refused to give the return in the second ticket. This is crazy and a complete scam. Who runs a business like this as the customer is the last priority and even though this was clearly a technical error in their part, they are taking no responsibility whatsoever! Stay clear of these people. They should not be allowed to do business!”
