“I purchased from the platform a jewel with the characteristics of a VS1 diamond, color J, size 55, and I received SI2, color M, size 52. The certificate accompanying the jewel was issued by a laboratory not accredited by Catawiki. When I filed a complaint, I was asked for a certificate that was impossible to obtain from my country, and to my remark that Catawiki should request these certificates from sellers and not from the client, Catawiki said that it accepts any type of certificate from this seller because this is an important seller in the platform. But catawiki should not forget that the most important (the one who owns the money) is the buyer and catawiki should first of all protect him Big disappointment!!!”

“Catawiki is a scam , they estimate the lab grown diamonds as if they were real diamonds and people overpay at these no reserve auctions. You can better buy these items from Ali Baba for 200-300 dollar per carat.”

“I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with my purchase of a vintage Omega watch from Catawiki. The watch arrived damaged due to improper handling during transport. Despite following your instructions and sending it back for a refund, I have yet to receive my money back. It has now been several months, and my attempts to reach out to your customer service department have been met with no response. This lack of communication and resolution is extremely disappointing. I request an immediate resolution to this matter and a full refund as promised. I would appreciate a prompt response to avoid any further escalation.”

“They sold me a counterfeit Cartier watch! I gave the watch I bought on Catawiki to Cartier to be serviced and I have been told that it is not a genuine Cartier watch. I agreed with Cartier to dispose the watch, not to be sold nor to be sent back. Catawiki refuses to refund me for the amount ... The watch was checked by Catawiki 's expert and they guaranteed the authenticity of the timepiece. They have been fooled by themselves or by the seller based in Turkey. To this date I'm still expecting the refund !! I do not recommend at all”

“The site clearly states "We ensure your money is kept safe. We only release payment to the seller up to 3 days after delivery so that you have had the time to inspect your object." This is not true and clearly misleading. I have 4 objects that were never delivered - therefore I never inspected them - and they still took my money. On top of that customer support is a set of canned answers and they do not care about customer service.”

“I didn’t receive the item, seller did not want to do anything to find out where the package was. Only thing what support Catawiki provided was automatic responce message to request for support. Lost my money! Latest order arrived broken. No reply from Catawiki’s customer support so will lose my money again…”

“La piattaforma fa da garante e a mio parere e la mia esperienza lo è! Poi piccoli problemi ci sono sempre, tipo che un venditore manda all'acquirente l'oggetto diversamente dalle foto o dalla descrizione può essere, ma ci sono acquirenti che non capiscono cosa vuoldire segni del tempo, poi per non parlare di acquirenti che ricevono l'oggetto e dicono che non hanno ricevuto nulla, per ottenere il rimborso e l'oggetto anche!! Siate onesti va!”

“COUNTERFEIT, fake items and appalling service Catawiki allowed counterfeit items on the platform which is against international regulations. After I received a counterfeit item and filed a dispute, Catawiki claimed that the item is a "replica" but the materials used are authentic. Laughable, disingenuous and dangerous excuse. Since Catawiki took zero responsibility for the counterfeit item, the dispute was escalated. Catawiki then stated that my account is suspended until I retract the dispute - essentially blackmailing me. Unprofessional, unaccountable and appalling behavior by Catawiki. The vast majority of their positive reviews on other sites are "invited" BUYER BEWARE !!”

“Had the highest bid on a vintage rectangular Omega watch, but a mysterious unnamed bidder snagged it last minute. Although the rest of the watches in the collection showed final bids, mine didn't, which lead me to assume that my winning bid was too low and that the supposed winning bid was the watch being retracted instead of selling well below the estimated value. However, after reading other reviews it looks like I dodged a bullet!”

“مع الاسف نصابين اشتريت ساعه من المزاد وسددت قيمتها مع الشحن 139 € وفوجئت بعدم توصيلها والبائع يقول انها رجعت لعدم وضوح العنوان بالرغم من ان شركة e.bay , Amazon, Noon , الي اخره تسلم لي البضائع منذ اكثر من خمس سنوات علي نفس العنوان تواصلت مع خدمة العملاء لرد أموالي لا يزيدون ولا يردون انها مجموعة محتالين ونصابين ولن اترك حقي عندي محامي صديق بهولندا سوف أقاضي هؤلاء النصابين المحتالين”

“Catawiki is an absolute scam. I purchased a bag, when I received it, the condition was much worse than indicated and it smelled horrible, like it was stored in a basement. I immediately filed a claim and request to return. Now, four weeks later, nothing has happened and no one has helped me resolve this. This is so unprofessional and fraudulent.”
