Waiting refund and all I get is automated message saying it’s been processed, taking a very very long time to be processed had to call up today she’s going to chase it up. If I don’t hear anything by Monday I’m going to have to take the matter further by taking to the ombudsman, not what I need when I have other things going on , no one should have to chase up there refund !

I bought a pair of trousers 29 inch inside leg, which they were. but the length between the waist band and the crotch was 12-13 inches so a ridiculous fit. I’m sending them back but not hopeful of getting my money after reading the reviews.it seems the company makes their money by charging for returns and premium phone lines. wouldn’t it be better for everyone including cotton traders to sell a quality product so you get good reviews and sell more clothes. You have got to be aware of the very poor quality of your products.

My elderly mother bought £10 of clothes over the phone and latterly discovered she'd be charged an extra £1.41 in premium rate telephone charges. Hidden in the small print. Profiteering by cotton traders!

Having purchased two pairs of trousers from Cotton Traders, their state after one wash left me disappointed and disgusted in equal measure. They had lost their shape and looked really scruffy, fit only for a scarecrow. This was the first and last time I will ever buy their stuff.

I am a longstanding customer of Cotton Traders. Bought a pair of their cotton trousers and after wearing them for less than an hour the colour faded. from green to gold. Only took them out of the packaging 2 days ago and Cotton Traders refuse point blank to do anything. Beware this is how they treat loyal customers. Shame on you Cotton Traders.

Ordered a pair of jeans and thdy fitted like a glove. So happy i ordered another 4 pairs. Out of the 4 pairs 1 pair fit! The others would either fit a circus performer on stilts or an amputee. I gave them away to friends as the cost to send them back was stupid. Never again matey! 😡

Customer service is a joke, not one answering phone, phoned twice, took all my phone time tariff, cost me to top up, I will not be using them again.

Disappointed in the poor quality of the fabric of a skirt I've just purchased, I returned it to Cotton Traders for a refund. I can now cost the exercise - skirt £37.00, delivery £3.99, return £2.95. Total charges equal £6.94 - effectively 10% of the cost of the goods. This is somewhat out of line when compared to most other companies. I am also disappointed that the only available means of communication with the company is via a premium phone line as I a) much prefer to email so that I then have a record of any communication if there's a problem and b) feel exploited if I'm telephoning them in order to sort any difficulties. Fortunately there are many other companies who don't charge so much for such poor service.

Cotton Traders used to be the Gold Standard on likes of rugby shirts/tops and other things then tried to get too big for there boots selling all sorts of Tat that was badge sold(bought in from China with there labels)Quality went down quicker than a sub with all hatches open!. They tried selling footwear but never showed soles on outdoor boots you want to see what soles are like for where you want to venture! I called to ask and got some Dippy girl giggling on phone and wasn't interested in even acknowledging limited pics/info. Was just talking about CT earlier and said not seen them around so thought they'd shutdown mind way going they must be tying rope to put round there neck by reading comments on here. Plus using MyHerpes/EVRI(Every Parcel never gets there) they are a dead loos for any company.

Ordered some pillows and a duvet. Specifically ordered the duvet after researching about microfibre and hollowfibre fillings. The description stated 100% microfibre, which us what I wanted. It is not. Its 10% microfibre and 90% hollowfibre. False advertising. Couldn't sent it back as already got rid of my old duvet.

Cotton traders clothing has recently been sub standard being smaller then thier sizing recently I the sizes being sent to me have been less then they where 1 year ago. Is this because CT has sold out to a multi national, I have had to return 5 item to CT as size not correct. They have a premium phone number which cost me over £5 for a 10min call a total rip off I have now gone to Chums

Why the longwinded message from the CEO when making a telephone order? I have ordered several items from CT over the previous few years and have been pleased with every purchase. I do however find it nauseating to have to listen to an elongated recorded telephone message on every occasion you make a telephone enquiry or an order. The annoyance being is that it is ‘us’ the recipients which are paying for a premium rated telephone call to listen to this superfluous message. I have recently been charged over £30 on my monthly telephone account for making three calls after placing my original order. Totally unreasonable and exploitative. Please make it clear to your loyal customers that they are subjected to this exploitative practice. It’s doubtful I will continue to trade with this company again after my recent experience as I don’t like dealing through your website. Thomas Rogers Gloucestershire

I made several purchases from Cotton Traders over the previous year and only just realised from a recent purchase that I have been charged over £30 by my telephone provider for a recent order placed. Telephone calls to Cotton Traders are ALL premium rated calls and this fact is hidden in their small print instead of making this fact clear to all potential telephone enquiries. A totally unscrupulous practice! My recent order necessitated making three phone calls after submitting my order to clarify the size of the garments ordered. For this small issue I was penalised to the tune of over £30.00 on my monthly telephone bill for making these few calls. I will naturally not be dealing any further with this company and have asked my details be removed from their customer data base. This is altogether an unscrupulous practice which I and no doubt many other customers have been totally aware of. When premium rate telephone calls are charged there is an obligation to inform the recipient that this is the case. This company doesn’t do this because they are benefiting from the excessive telephone charges. A totally unscrupulous practice which is deceiving.

Absolutely disgusted with cotton traders, returned some shoes through Evri and they have charged me £6.94 to have them returned. I don’t see any info on their website about the extra money for a refund through evri. I won’t be ordering through cotton traders again!

Ordered item on 27 August. Paid for express delivery. Now 2 September and still waiting. Each time Evri say delivering but don’t deliver. Phoned 1September and helpful lady said Customer Services would ring me - still waiting . Phoned again and assistant talked about geofencing. I asked what he meant and he said I lived in a gated community - I do not! He didn’t know what he was talking about. Gave me refund of £2 as paid express delivery - big deal! I shall be cancelling and asking for refund but disappointed I haven’t received the trousers for my holiday.

Ordered two items that were poor quality and ill fitting. Very irritated to be charged for delivery and return. Then 3 weeks later received unsolicited a Cotton Traders catalogue which to my knowledge I had not requested. Rang on their premium contact number and was told online orders are added to mailing list automatically, and even though I requested cancellation I would receive at least 3 more copies of catalogue. Ridiculous waste. Will not be using this company again.

I needed to exchange an item for a smaller size. The invoice gave a phone number to ring to make the exchange process simpler, and avoid repeat P&P. Just got my EE phone bill and discovered that phone call cost a whopping £15!!!! Certainly not worth it for the value of the item, which seemed completely mis-sized anyway. It’s put me off shopping there again. Whatever else you do, please stop using ridiculous premium rate numbers!
