“I'd recently, April 10, 2020, visited the site and brought a product through the site. After the products failed to arrive I started looking at the seller reviews and comments regarding the seller. Over 1000+ claimed it is a scam, the seller will not refund and trying to go through Etsy site to get refund, it is painful and couldn't find the way to do it. With all the comments you would think the site will take actions and kick out the seller..... I would stick with Amazon why go through unnecessary pain and time. Yes there may be other great sellers on that site, but one bad apple ruin the good ones.”

“I am getting nowhere. I ordered face masks on April 3, 2020 from SewByUSA thru the ETSY site. They promised delivery in one business day. They charged my credit card, and then a few days later the site posted my shipping label had been made on April 8, with estimated delivery of April 11 - even though nothing was shipped yet. Today is the 15th. Nothing shipped yet, and no word from SewByUSA or its parent company owner Jahlel Factor. I have emailed both Etsy and SewByUs and still waiting for my cancellation authorization. “I was contacted by Etsy saying I would receive my portrait by March 30, 2020. They gave me a tracking number missing 2 digits. I kept driving to my PO box. Usps didn't recognize the tracking. Then I got an email from Betsy saying it had been delivered by Fed Ex to my door! Well, that was impossible because I didn't give my physical address! I couldn't get through to customer service of fed ex to a live person. So I had to go to an office! The employee wanted to blow me off like usps and Betsy and gave me the run around. Finally a fed ex manager John in Arvada, Co took the time to stay on the phone. Come to find out Etsy uses a reseller to deliver. It's April 1, 2020 and I still haven't gotten my package promised by March 1! Betsy SUCKS! THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR SERVICE AND FLAT OUT LIED THAT IT HAD BEEN DELIVERED TO MY DOOR! I will never never never use Esty again!”

1- I'm the owner of the unicorina clothing shop and they closed my shop primarily and when I contacted them in the chat they closed the chat on my face and blocked me from getting any help through Etsy chat.
2- after that I tried to contact them through legal and integrity mails and they apologized for this issue and they opened the shop again And I was very happy about this.
3- after two months when my shop starting to getting sales After a great effort and hiring 3 of graphic designers in my country for my store and a large cost to set up the store they closed my account again for no reason
4- I tried to contact them again but no one responded to all of the emails that I sent from my e-mail
5- I tried to open a support case to Etsy in the help center but no one responded until now !!
6- I didn't lose hope, so I tried to post my problem in the Etsy forum and two days later I was surprised that they blocked me from entering the Etsy forum
7- I think Etsy is the most racist site and does not concern anyone but I will publish a detailed article confirming this possibility on the official website of the store.
8- I bought more than 6 digital products for my store before closing my account and today I cannot access the products that I have purchased
9- finally I strictly adhere to Etsy's rules and I really walk beside the wall in Etsy and don’t know why my account is disabled until now And why this despicable transaction with customers and sellers

“Although I have received some really lovely things from Etsy, the amount of items I have ordered that have been ‘lost in the post’ is disproportionate. I would say that every three things I have bought from Etsy, one will not show up. I have got the money back every time from the seller, but the number of cases are so high. Compare this to Ebay where I also buy items from private sellers, I have never had an item disappear from EBay. In comparison about 8 of my Etsy orders mysteriously haven’t shown up.”
“If you are thinking of opening a Etsy shop, DO NOT. Avoid them at all costs. I run a shop on Etsy that has done tremendously well. They have run out of ways to grow their business without taking revenue from their shopkeepers. Read that again. They do not have your best interests in mind and their business goals are in direct conflict with yours. If you play that out, you have no leverage and will lose. This results in you giving them more money, more of your time, and leaves a feeling similar to working for a boss you don't like.
I have invested all of my marketing into a store elsewhere on my own domain and am now just counting down the days for when I finally shut it off if they don't do it beforehand. I have made 10x as much by NOT USING etsy. Do yourself a favor by not falling for the Etsy trap.”
“I have been selling on Etsy for over 4 years. We had thousands of orders. The customers were quite happy, the score of our shop was about 4.7 out of 5 !!! All the reviews were very positive, except for a few reviews for which we delivered the wrong items or for which the transporters lost the parcel or have delayed the delivery (nobody is perfect, we as a small workshop and company, do also mistakes and we always pro-actively compensate or refund customers whenever such issue happened). In 4 years, we had 4 disputes with customers (out of thousands of orders). All those disputes were due to the transporter's fault (shipping delays). Of course some customers are not willing to understand that WE ARE NOT working for the transporter, and that this situation annoys us as much as them... Regardless, Etsy BANNED US from selling on their store, despite us having a very good rating with our customers, and always trying to find solutions to please them. Etsy did not allow us to make any appeal or whatsoever. I woke up a morning reading an email saying that our store was banned, that I will never be able to open a store anymore on Etsy, and that they would not reply any of my emails after that. I find this treatment really not fair, respectful nor professional for a company listed on the NYSE ! After discussing with few other Etsy sellers, I realized that I was not the same in this case, and that Etsy's treatment to its sellers was quite unfair as MANY complained about similar issues, and about the fact to not be protected by Etsy. Some of the sellers on Etsy have been scammed by Etsy customers (received the product but also got their money back for invalid reasons), and Etsy did nothing about it. This is a shame for such company, and that clearly show how those big corporation really treat people. Etsy pretend to help small artisans and artists to develop their business, while the only thing they care about is their own profit and stock prices. Shame on Etsy, I will never sell nor buy anything from them again.”
