“Sellers not meeting their posted processing and shipping times is UNACCEPTABLE! How is it that I make a purchase on the 20th with priority shipping and it's now the 1st and I still do not have my purchase in my possession. Not only that but, the seller 1st stated they shipped the item in the 27th and then in a different message said that it was shipped on the 28th. The seller finally provided me with a tracking number and it states that only a label has been created on the 29th and USPS is awaiting item. Horrible Seller!”

“I purchased mugs from a seller that says he's located in the US. When the mugs didn't arrive on time, I spoke to the seller and I found out they are based in China. After insisting on cancelling the order, finally the seller agreed. Etsy refused to process the refund back to my PayPal account, claiming that my account is closed or that they received an error message. PayPal told me that no refund was attempted from Etsy and it couldn't be that difficult to reverse a charge if they wanted to. I would never buy anything thru Etsy again.”

“Know this before you purchase anything on Etsy. Etsy looks out for their vendors more than the customers who purchase items on Etsy. Why? Because if Etsy holds vendors responsible, then Etsy loses money. What do I mean by this? Case and point. I placed an order on April 4th. Days went by, vendor would not respond to my emails on when the item would ship. I even told them to cancel the order and refund me. No answer. I filed grievance with Etsy. Heard nothing from Etsy and when I tried to go back in to complain again and contact Etsy again, their automated response is, "It appears you've reported this order for review through your bank or credit card company. We'll work with them directly to resolve this matter, and be in touch via email in the event we need more information from you. This order is no longer eligible for a case." So, there you have it. You can not speak with Etsy again and you don't hear from them. Etsy washes their hands from customers complaints and holds scammer vendors on a pedestal because that brings in revenue. I still have not received my order and tomorrow is May 1st. Etsy, CEO Josh Silverman, you don't know how to run a company. Its run a muck!”

“Do not order plants from ESTY.com Their customer care system is not quick responsive. I bought plants through them on March 11th by the time they shipped it was April 24th. The are an intermediary who do not care. Better to go Amazon or someone else. Wasted my money”

“Do not buy anything on this site , there is no customer service. Items are marked as shipped and received by USPS but they have not. Example : Hi this message for (name removed) my name is Mary I'm calling for US Postal service in Carlsbad. It is regarding a service request you received online based on a package that staying(?) in Anaheim since the ninth is the fourth base on this tracking number he provided and it shows that this item have not been received and accepted by the postal service I have to ask you to verify with the shipping partner facility and make sure that they've shipped or drop off the package at any postal service okay. If you have any questions or any concerns you can always give me a call back at (number removed)thank you... So don't buy.”

“This place sucks. Ordered a vintage receiver, money was taken from my account yesterday. Today, I get a msg that my account has been suspended, the receiver was put back up but $600 more than I paid. At least I got my money back . This site is total B.S.”

“I'd recently, April 10, 2020, visited the site and brought a product through the site. After the products failed to arrive I started looking at the seller reviews and comments regarding the seller. Over 1000+ claimed it is a scam, the seller will not refund and trying to go through Etsy site to get refund, it is painful and couldn't find the way to do it. With all the comments you would think the site will take actions and kick out the seller..... I would stick with Amazon why go through unnecessary pain and time. Yes there may be other great sellers on that site, but one bad apple ruin the good ones.”

“why does etsy not ban sellers with scam offers? there are a lot of sellers who try to sell high priced watches for $70-200. many times the advertise the watches are vintage.... never ever buy watches or any other high price jewelry on this fraudulent website. etsy is just the middleman and does nothing!!!!”

“In this time of great need for face mask I turned to Etsy. What I received was a thin piece of tshirt material that you could see thru with holes cut for your ears. REALLY?? No finished edged just ragged scissor cut material. Shame on the seller!”

“I am getting nowhere. I ordered face masks on April 3, 2020 from SewByUSA thru the ETSY site. They promised delivery in one business day. They charged my credit card, and then a few days later the site posted my shipping label had been made on April 8, with estimated delivery of April 11 - even though nothing was shipped yet. Today is the 15th. Nothing shipped yet, and no word from SewByUSA or its parent company owner Jahlel Factor. I have emailed both Etsy and SewByUs and still waiting for my cancellation authorization. Neither of my daughters have received their orders either. I wonder how many orders have not been received by buyers but are being charged anyway. Barbara Gosse”
