“Etsy are dishonest! They have thousands of fake accounts that troll and save your items, they place them in baskets and favourite them, they use Etsy like it is Pinterest!
These trolling accounts save thousands of items, then Etsy advise sellers to give discounts to people who favourite your items. So they try to drive your prices down. Not one real buyer in the World would put thousands of items in baskets, or save your items just to look at, they are FAKE!
Also they save your photos on Pinterest, use them as advertising and inflate the price! So when potential customers click on your item listing, it looks like the price has been heavily reduced.
Why the 5* reviews on here? Because Etsy are brilliant at employing people to be fake buyers and sellers.
They are ruining business for small sellers, allowing the China market to dominate! They sell ten a penny tat and claim it is vintage and handmade. It is not! It is factory outlet rubbish, they have ruined many people and now are faking reviews, they have fake sellers and fake buyers.
Another company I will gather evidence on and send said evidence to Watchdog!

“NO seller protection what so ever. Buyer is able to open an item not received case before the end of the estimated delivery date. Etsy close the case and refund the buyer automatically after a few days. Nothing is in place to stop the scammers. If you don't want to get scammed, do not sell here.”
“Avoid selling on this platform. This is the last straw for me, I am running an online boutique and I sell untreated Jade for example and have to compete with sellers lying that their jade is untreated and that is not right.
I sell other small goods and boutique gifts and some customers do not aknowledge a tracking number and begin extortion and sending threats of it if I do not do as they tell me.
The last instance is a customer in the USA, I sent them tracking number and they ignored me and wrote in another seperate message asking where it was more than once and then began sending me threats, they were trying to get the item free by pretending to not know what was going on, they left a 1 star review claiming the item was not at their house when tracking shows it was and a note was left and Etsy says that does not violate their policies.
This has happened more than once.
Etsy will leave you feeling bad as no matter how you try they will allow buyers to do this, add to that the amount of fakes, clear fakes one competes with it is not fit for use.
I will now have to leave after everything I have done on Etsy I am leaving and I reccommend others do too.”
“Worst place to buy . They will keep on adding additional delivery charges despite you already paying for it. The customer service team is not bothered and they wont refund. Its a waste. Avoid at all costs unless if you want to get cheated.”

“We ordered and paid for a product on Nov. 24 paid for it at order time was promised a 7 to 10 day delivery. Still do not have product after daily emails with photos included where the company keeps making excuse after excuse of why we dont have it even giving us fake tracking numbers. The description stated that the item is made out of "Material: Wood (Not any plastic,unnatural or synthetic materials)" The cost was AUD $131 at the time. The item arrived on 18th of June 2019 in a ripped, soft, cheap, paper bag without any structural support (a flat clock, 60 cm in diameter traveling across the world, put into a paper bag!), the packaging did not even have any bubbles or foil, it was half open. The item is not made of wood but the poorest quality leftover melamine and paper, factory cut, not handmade, the color is not consistent through, the white looks yellowish gray, the clock is bent, scratched, and it looks like it got wet during transport as the finishing is peeling off. I am fighting for a refund, the seller 'Eren Savas' (doubt an actual person) communicates with an automated, templated poor English (classic scammer), 'she' either does not respond at all or is delaying the process, very difficult to deal with. It has been 6 days now and still no refund - basically, a dodgy scamming developing country business. I do not believe I am a one-off. I suspect this is a dodgy company in Turkey (that's where the item came from) portraying itself as a boutique art items supplier. I question the quality of Etsy advertisement policies and authenticity of Etsy reviews, there is another review stating they never got their item from this seller and Etsy still has not removed the seller. I wonder how much Etsy gets from it! BE WARY!”

Billing is simple and fees are lower than eBay. listing is easy, but sadly combined shipping is a bit of a nightmare, if that was more customisable then it would be the best selling platform out there in my opinion.... Still is my favourite though.”

Being sold as 1920s Antiques, when in fact past times made them in "2005. Shocking and worth a £5/£10 at the most, Would like to see improvements like a warning button to warn others of fakes. Also bought a egg pot" Description says NO CRACKS OR CHIPS, and seller don't except returns. Item had more chips in it than a cookie! Some sellers take weeks to post also" one seller couldn't be bothered to post asap as they had a hangover and said would deal with it in a few days!! , and some over charge a great deal on postage!
