FibreGlassDirect is an online shop which supplies quality, fibreglass raw materials to the UK and Ireland. We are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and our Head Office is in Newry, Northern Ireland.
We have been online since 2009 but have over 60 years of experience as part of the Tricel Group.
We offer an extensive range of resins, topcoats, gelcoats and ancillaries for a wide range of industries. Some of our key supplies are used for Fibreglass Flat Roofing, Fibreglass Ponds, Boat Repairs and Castings for Decorative Items.

“Delivery was left by the door. Decent enough service, good quality products. The glass I've ordered came folded, I really hoped it'll arrive on a roll making things a lot easier, at least in my case. Also there could be an option to choose the amount of catalyst for the resin ordered in case of colder environments and conditions the resin has to cure in.”

Many thanks for your review and your valuable feedback. Depending on the volume ordered for the glass matting, it can get quite expensive to ship the matting on a roll as opposed to folded for smaller quantities. “All items delivered as ordered with good post order delivery information. Two problems though: Most of the 70m fibre glass roll is unusable as it is only about 15mm wide or less in places. The grey topcoat deliveed is labelled as 'budget topcoat'. What does this mean? What are the limitations of budget topcoat. Was not aware I had ordered budget stuff.”

This is an old naming convention that has to be updated. We have also raised the glass bandage quality concerns with our supplier. “The service was prompt but i found difficulty in the fibreglass drying. I still have some damp. I put plenty of hardner, running out I used so much. It should have gone off in half hour. The general purpose resin I do not think it is right for the boat and the fibre glass matting was not very well knitted together, a bit thin in places and it when cutting it just shredded in parts. But I managed by doubling up in parts where thin. Otherwise I am very pleased with your service. The resin etc is bot boat repair and molding parts for my little boat. I have a 20ft boat to fibreglass up and will need at least 10kg of resin and suitable catalist for it to set hard. I always give myself a half hour going off time and should be a couple of hours setting hard. A full day totla setting after that. Thank you.”

“both my orders were delivered very quickly although the 2nd one was slightly damaged (box) and damage went through to the tin inside but not puncture to tine. Not used product yet.”

“Nearly a 5. I thought the mixing vessels were a bit flimsy, as were the protective gloves. However there was sufficient material to do the job, which I completed recently and it looks great.”
