Do not take this bus unless you want Covid! They lie and do not follow the regulations. When it left Boston it was at a 90% capacity, then made a stop in CT, where the bus filled up to 99% capacity. When I called the company, who is out of the UK, they said according to them none of the cities, including NY don't have a high Covid rate!! Look at the reviews on the BBB site. Again, I urge you, during this pandemic, not to take this bus!" Company!

Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the actual service, as I needed to cancel my trip due to COVID complications, but I can say that their refund process has been lengthy, tiresome, and sketchy. Initially, I was meant to use their services in early April 2020, traveling in Austria, Hungary, and Poland. Early March, it became clear that I would not be able to make it to Europe, let alone Budapest, so I cancelled all three of my trips. I received automatic vouchers for all three trips; I took those numbers and used the form on the website to ask for a refund, as they instruct. My message was very clear and compliant with their instructions - it included all the original booking numbers, the new voucher numbers, and the amount expected to be refunded. No response. That's fine, I figured it was a busy time and it might take a while for my money to get back to me. A month later, early April after the date the original trips were meant to occur, I sent another message through their website inquiring about the refund, and again included all of the relevant information. This time, I promptly received an email from customer service offering the vouchers again, but quickly responded that I had no plans to travel in the next year, and would like the refund instead. They replied that it would take several weeks due to the volume of requests. Again, no problem. I waited another four weeks (it's now mid-May at this point) before sending another request. This time, I replied to their email rather than using the form, which seems to be the best way to get in contact. I reminded them that it's now been quite a while since they said they would refund me, and even longer since I cancelled the trip and asked for the refund in the first place. Another canned response about volume of requests and that they hope I travel with them again. I'm frustrated, but I've worked in customer service and know that this could be a system issue or simply something higher up. So I wait. Again. It is now late June 2020, 4 weeks since I was last promised my money back, 8 weeks since my initial contact with customer service, and 12 weeks since I submitted my first request (which, mind you, never received a response - only after I followed up did someone contact me). I've replied to the email thread again, but I expect another response just telling me the same thing. In each email, they have stated that they "remain confident that your experience was an exception and not the standard" (based on other reviews, it IS the standard) and they "look forward to the opportunity to restore your faith in our product and services on a future FlixBus journey". This will not happen, as I will never use Flixbus to travel, even if I ever do make it to Europe.

NEVER AGAIN me or my friends. I will advice anyone to avoid Flixbus. They change your trip hour and if you cancel the trip you get back vouchers not a refund. They refuse to refund you and don't answer to emails. Unproffesional company. Realy disappointed... only the money matters, the clients have no rights.

Really bad management and behavior from their staff.... You are advised to avoid their service whenever you have any other option. Bad timing, rude drivers and moreover they are able to discover ways/excuses to ask for extra money even when you have booked/pay your tickets like "our system cannot read your ticket. Buy a new one with the driver and just ask for a refund by email" ....and then on your request they answer you that you can have the refund for the extra paid ticket but there is a refund fee that is more expensive than the ticket itself!!! ...Just crazy) Just avoid.

We decided to try flixbus because their prices were very competitive, well there is definitely a reason. I booked a roundtrip from asti to Rome and back. The first trip to get us to Rome changed 3 times in the 3 weeks before our departure, which is ok, but today, day of departure, i tried logging in with my itinerary number and the app said that the trip was canceled or changed and to add the new itinerary number (which i did not have of course) So I called the customer service and they told me that they had to cancel my bus but gave me an other traveling option for the same price. So instead of having an overnight bus directly to my destination I know had to stop in a parking lot in the middle of nowhere at 11:30 pm and wait there for 3 hours for another bus to take me to my final destination. There was no way to get a refund just a voucher for an other trip, and because they told me only 3 hours the departure i could not do anything but getting this 2 busses. Here I am in a cold parking lot on a bench for 3 hours with no open place to go for 3 hours. Awful. Cold. Snd in the middle of the night. I have meetings in the morning and i will not be able to sleep all night. And no refunds. I will never use this again!!!

I’d vote zero stars if I could rate lower. We bought two tickets leaving Houston to Austin Tx. Price was good but stated that they pick up at Houston Hobby airport. Would have had to walk almost a mile across two major highways to get to an unmarked location where bus was to pick up and wait outside in rain for bus. Sent email that bus would not be marked differently than Flixbus to add to confusion. Should have stated more clearly on website so aware when booking. If they state pickup at airport, don’t expect to have to drag luggage a mile in rain to get to an unmarked pickup location because company appears to be too cheap to pay airport fees for use of normal pickup area that normal bus services use. We will not consider using this company in future Ken

The pick up location was in the china town which is very unsafe neighborhood. Driver doesn’t speak in English, I asked about toilet, he thought I was asking about the seat. He was a rude chinese guy. While on the road he was always honking and waking up the passengers who were sleeping.

Incredibly rude staff. Bad organization. Do not forget that you are paid by customer so a minimum of respect is required.

My husband and I recently took a trip to Europe. We prefer train as our primary mode of transportation but after an issue with one of our tickets, we decided last minute to try Flixbus despite the awful reviews it had. We both assumed most people review when they're mad/disappointed, so it was probably a little biased. Boy was I wrong! So very, very wrong. We arrived to our bus stop FORTY FIVE MINUTES EARLY because we were already at the departure train station. Since we'd never used a bus service before we wanted to be sure to be early and the first ones to check in (which starts 15 minutes before departure. We spoke to every bus driver, asking about how the buses work and verifying their destination wile trying to locate our bus). We asked our bus driver specifically if he was our bus driver. He didn't speak a word, he just rudely shook his head no and physically turned his back to us. Whatever.. I'm not that concerned with rude people so we went about our business. Our bus was scheduled to leave at 2:45 pm so by 2:30 we were quite concerned by the fact that our bus was not there yet so I called Flixbus. I was connected to a representative THIRTEEN MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME and she (sounding very confused) told me the bus had already left because 90% of the passengers were on board. Excuse me, WHAT THE WHAT?! Not only did they leave early, we specifically asked the bus driver if it was him (twice! We also attempted to flag him down as he started to pull away- he rudely waved his hands at us while shaking his head no) and he lied to us. The lady on the phone did her best to help us but eventually said she'd have to send it up the chain and to call back in 15 minutes. So we did. I was connected with a different representative this time. He was polite and responsive at first but flat out lied to me multiple times and eventually became rude. (Just FYI, I always try to be polite even in stressful situations like this. Obviously it's not the representatives fault and they're only trying to help). He proceeds to tell me the driver didn't leave until 2:39 (STILL BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME) and that we should've already been at the bus stop for check in (which we obviously were). We were offered a voucher, minus 30£ in cancellation fees. Um, excuse me? I was on the phone with a representative at 2:33 and she told me the driver had already left! He says he would double check with the driver and get back to me... He then comes back and says "the driver verified he didn't leave until 2:46, which is actually one minute after your departure time". Okay, so now the departure time of the bus has changed for the third time? I reiterated the fact that I was on the phone with a Flixbus rep 14 minutes before this supposed departure time and she told me she could clearly see he'd already left the station. He again offers me this BS voucher minus fees, which I'm obviously not accepting. To make a long story short, he continues to "double and triple check" the info (which was the word of the bus driver) and continues to offer me the ridiculous voucher, refusing to acknowledge my questions about time stamps for conversations with reps on their end and dismissing my offers for my own recording, time stamps, and even a photo of the bus leaving with a time stamp on it. I'd read multiple accounts of Americans being screwed over by Flixbus drivers and I assumed they were isolated cases. Unfortunately I was wrong and we were treated very poorly by the middle eastern driver, along with Flixbus reps (aside from the first one I spoke to). I have no doubt in my mind the second we spoke English that driver he decided he didn't want us on his bus. In the end, I'm glad we didn't take the bus. I'd rather be left at the station than treated badly for 10 hours, as other reviewers have. We have disputed this charge with our credit card company and thanks to my time stamped calls, photos, and recordings we were fully reimbursed. It was blatantly obvious we were not in the wrong here, Flixbus and their racist driver was. I was already hesitant to use this company and this only confirmed my gut feeling. I will never use Flixbus ever again, and I will tell everyone I know or meet the same! I sincerely hope this business is either bought out by someone who cares, or goes belly up ASAP! BEWARE OF FLIXBUS! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND PAY A LITTLE EXTRA FOR A RAIL TICKET!

DISGUSTING COMPANY, AWFUL SERVICE After more than twenty hours flying from the US to Venice, my girlfriend and I had a bus ticket to go from Venice Airport to the town of Cortina de Ampezzo. I received a message informing that the bus was cancelled and some minutes later, I received another message informing that the bus was simply delayed. I called Flixbus and their agent confirmed that it was delayed. Same thing appeared in the tracking section of Flixbus website. After a tiring couple of hours waiting, there was no sign of any arriving bus. The office did not reply to our numerous phone calls as it was not office time anymore. It was much later than the delayed arrival time that appeared on the website. Finally, an Italian customer managed to contact a local agent in Italian and informed us that the bus got finally cancelled. It was already night and still, the information on the website showed that the bus was delayed. Should I still be waiting? As we had to arrive to Cortina de Ampezo urgently, we decided to take a taxi and it was obviously very EXPENSIVE. It was the only way to get there at that time as there wasn´t any other bus available. I have sent Flixbus several emails informing and complaining about this situation and THEY NEVER REPLIED. I have spent a good amount of money on INTERNATIONAL calls to Flixbus, but NEVER GOT HELPED. It has been now one month and half since then, and STILL WAITING FOR compensation or at least, APOLOGIES. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. TERRIBLE. They really deserve some sort of CONDEMNATION.

Tried to purchase some tickets to Romania, however unsuccessfully. Contacted them and they advised me to try different methods - via the app, from PC or via paypal. Tried all of these using 3 different cards, wasted 3 hours of my time for nothing. Don’t waste your time on this crappy company, they don’t value their clients, nor assist them properly. Wanted to speak with a manager or someone from the complaints department, surprise there was no manager and you should write your conplaint and wait who knows how much time to receive any sort of assistance. How come an international company doesn’t have manager to deal with this?! Very unprofessional!

I was traveling to Netherlands from Europe and the prices for flights were through the roof. Then I came about flixbus and the facilities they provide in the bus and was happy to book my journey and travel by road. My experience was great, the time keeping was excellent and the buses are environment friendly and clean. I'm definitely going to use flixbus more often.

I used to use Flixbus all the time while backpacking Europe, but after this one dreadful experience, I can't forgive them. While on the way from Paris to Mont St. Michel (taking a different bus company) I got an email saying our ride back with Flixbus was cancelled and there would be no more buses that day. So I called the helpline suggested and they said if we could find another way back they would refund us the cost (but not our initial bus fee which we never used). After much hassle, we got another bus, which cost triple the original amount, and after jumping through hoops to send my bill to Flixbus through email to get a refund, all they gave me was a voucher! Which expires!!! Unacceptable customer service.
