“I purchase my Gtech sweeper just a year ago and have had nothing but problem, first the batteries failed to hold charge then needed help as the sweeper sounded as though it was full of stones. Weldone to the young lady who DID solve the problem. Then the handle started to fall apart so replaced it then carpet strip breaks. all in all I have so many problems I asked who did the inspection of these items because from where I stood there was no inspection just put it together and send it out.”
“Bought both upright and hand held vacuums from main distribution depot at Worcester 4 years ago.
After 3 years the upright had several problems which we emailed gtech and the after service team said they were unable to help.
Then today our handheld vacuum has stopped working.
These products are expensive to buy but no aftercare.
Will not be buying again.”
“Brought Pro stick cleaner 2019 less than 18 months in battery developed a fault , contacted customer support and they agreed to send a new one less than 18 months again battery packed up ! again contacted GTECH best they could offer was 20% off new battery which i had to accept for the machine to function . NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Conclusion GTECH not fit for purpose as it would appear the battery is of very poor quality and at £80 a time i would suggest anyone avoid GTECH at all cost . I will not be buying any of the GTECH products nor shall i recommend in fact i feel duty bound to do the exact opposite . VERY POOR PRODUCT>”
“Bought direct from GTECH as I thought this would be best.
The SW22 sweeper sent arrived next day, which was great.
But it didn't charge up. On contacting GTECH I now have to wait up to 2 weeks for a replacement charger to see if this corrects the issue...way too long to have to wait for a part that may not resolve the problem.
Online chat seems to only produce a corporate response so very poor”
“I bought the air ram multi and it broke after 1 use. Gtech arranged an exchange which arrived damaged. They arranged an uplift but are now refusing a refund as they have lost the return but their courier didn’t provide any proof of uplift. Absolutely disgusted by their service. Now have the stress of raising a dispute with my credit card. Will never use them again.”
“Bought HT04 used 3 times in 3 years needed new battery told obsolete . What a waste,machine is like new but cannot use .Have bought a Ryobi which uses the same battery for all its tools and has done since 1996.”
“Have purchased 2 HT01 hedge trimmers and 1 HT04 hedge trimmer and all the batteries have faded to the point of being unusable.
Contacted GTECH to be told none of the batteries are available, leaving me with 5 HT01 batteries, 2 HT04 batteries and 3 unusable hedge trimmers.
Be careful not to purchase any rechargeable hedge trimmers if you expect a reasonable life usage.”
“Compared to previous hoover brand cordless the air ram mk 2 is amazing, picks up dirt on a par with my corded Dyson. Yes the dust container is small and needs regular emptying but it is so easy to take out and empty, not an issue for me at all. So far really impressed and would recommend.”

Had I have been writing this review 2 years ago I would, like others, have been saying how good my new vacuum is (gtech air ram). 2 years later this isn't the case. It's had 2 major faults, the latest of which means it won't turn on. I am now 2 months out of warranty. Their customer service helpline is terrible, no advice as to check anything, just straight to selling me spare parts which may or may not solve the problem!! Meanwhile I spent £300 on a top of the range vacuum cleaner 2 years ago that I cannot afford to take a risk on purchasing parts that may not solve the issue. Looking through forums this seems to be very common. AVOID!!!!”
“My gtec hylite stopped picking up, I emailed customer services who promptly replied and sorted out my problem by sending replacement battery which arrived in two days. Very impressed with service , many thanks 👍”
“No problems with gtech service, delivery was excellent. Product is light and works well, Except the edge to edge ability is very poor. In fact it doesn't pick dirt at all. My old Henry was much better.!!”
“Such a bad design of Gtech hylite compared to my old one. You cannot tell if the bag is full, you wait until the gtech is not picking up, open it up, see the bag is full and then usually have to clean the little tunnel with a knife. The bag is so small, a simple design please next time. I have loved gtech for many years but not this latest version.”
“After being pleased with the hoover for 3 years, something caught in the brush and it broke.
Customer services are not interested as it is not the Company's policy to be concerned with a faulty machine after 3 years.
I maintain it is an expensive item of equipment to suddenly break if a piece of string gets caught up in it.
The machine should have immediately shut down and restarted after the string was removed.
I am extremely disappointed with the poor after sales service and lack of concern shown y GTech.”
