“I have been shopping today,at Home Bargins Unit1&2 Centurion Retail Park Doncaster DN5 9TP I went into the Garden Part and bought some bags of pebbles. One of your colleagues ask if we needed any help is name is Andy . He deserves the ABC award if you have one Above beyond the call of duty he took my stone to the checkouts on a comp and took it to my car in the car park and lifted it into the boot of my car I also bought some bedding plants witch was healthy due to the looking after he give them Lastly may I say it’s a pleasure to shop in Home Bargins when you have staff like Andy thank you Yours sincerely Mrs Dixon”

“I went to Pontypridd Store, bought 4 leaf trellis, i asked a very pleasant young man Iwan for help! He willing helped me put them in my car. It's so refreshing to experience this type of good manners! Ann, is an amazing manager who always offers assistance when required. Mrs M Russell.Pontypridd.”

“Your Rushden store is good, the only problem I have is on a number of occasions including today bmearing in mind Covid and wearing masks the female manager never wears a mask and today three women were in the store not wearing masks. They were not asked by any staff to wear a mask, why is this happening, I suggest someone carries out a snap check on this store and reprimands the store manager.”

“This shop won’t let our school in the shop anymore because some people have been “stealing” not everyone from our school steal what I don’t understand why they won’t ban the people that do and let the rest takes the mick plus we can just go home and get changed and go in it doesn’t make a difference it’s against our human right”

“Romford lovely store. Rude staff member that grunted at me and generally unhelpful her name was Sue, should not be customer facing not wearing a mask and stunk of tobacco. Home Bargains treat your customers nicely.”

“Saw Jasmine in the garden centre she was most helpful looked after us so well today with heavy stepping stones also as we are both in our 7os helped us to load them in the car so nice to find someone so helpful”

“I had a fall in the Aberdeen (Berryden) store on the 8th of April 2021. I slipped on fluid that was on the floor ( no warning signs around the fluid) it looked like clear soapy fluid. I was on the floor and an elderly woman customer helped me up. She went to get a staff member. They weren’t really helpful. They got me a chair to sit on in the middle of the store where other customers could see my distress. I couldnt really sit as it was so painful. I was in severe pain and shock, I eventually hobbled out of the shop to get myself home. The shop did take my name and phone number and email. I went to my doctors as I was in so much pain and had massive bruises/ swollen mussels. My doctor said I had pulled my hamstring and all my leg muscles. The shop has phoned once and I have received one Email saying they would get back to me. I have sent numerous Emails with photos but have received no reply. I presume they are not interested in customers injuring themselves in their stores. Their customer service and care is absolutely shocking.”

“I usually shop at your Martlesham store, I love the products in homebargains and the staff there are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile... however I have recently moved house and I've started going to your suffolk retail park store in Ipswich, and I am shocked by how different the 2 stores are... the products and the prices are all that is the same..... I don't know where to begin,, The management staff I've met are the rudest I've ever encountered especially a coloured chap, a woman with long hair and glasses, a boy that looks like he's just left school, and someone I've heard them call Lou, they are more interested in what they are doing filling shelves etc than providing customer service, I am always served by a young girl with brightly coloured hair she can not be more friendly she always helps me pack my shopping she goes above and beyond with her customer service, she calls and calls for other staff to open the unmanned tills but no one comes, I also appreciate her cleanliness she is always cleaning her till and the next customer bars... I just wish other members of staff in this store were as polite and helpful as her ... martlesham 10 suffolk retail 1”

“i was at home bargains doing my weekly shop when one of the staff can up to me and started to kick me and then he uppercut me in the jaw and then i woke up in the hospital i only sufferd miner injury's this was a very Destroting event i just want to share my story it has damaged my confidants thank you sussan”

“I enjoy shopping in Home Bargains,usually at Brockwell in Cramlington.Nice staff,plenty stock,nice ambience. However when visiting the Killingworth branch we couldn't hear ourselves think never mind speak.The music was so loud I had to get what I needed and left the store.I told the young lad on the till to tell his Manager and he said he would mention it.I thought I'd entered a Nightclub!!!”

“At the coulby ,Newham store in Middlesbrough ,I tried to use my debit card ,I was invited to put in my pin number,which I could not do.The machine would not turn couldnot see the numbers,to use, the card the assistant,said their was nothing she could do,except pay in cash,I did not have cash ,so I had to give my pin number,so she could guide my hand,so she now knows my pin number,I felt very humiliated because there was a large queue at the till.”

“I wanted to exchange an item at the Blackpool Branch on Talbot Road. I must say the staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Great customer service ,especially Jordon who oversaw my refund , a very pleasent young man.”

“bought some over the ears wireless headphones got home tried them out sound was utter rubbish never mentioned built in radio which interferes with music on pc.batteries not enviromently friendly,my opinion keep well clear.”

“I got home with my shopping today and the lid had come off a jar off curry sauce (which things can happen) however it was what was in it!! Was just mould, I checked the date for 2022! I will attach photos off this, I’ve tried to speak to them but nothing has been resolved so be careful when you buy glass jars from this store.”

“Visited the new Peterlee store, it's a huge store but during the pandemic they need to be controlling the amount of people in there, queuing to get served I was 30th in the queue, then members of staff are puyting themselves in between the people queuing to put 1 bottle of pop on the shelf! I said if you'd said excuse me I would have moved, apparently she doesn't have to as she works there! The woman serving us wasnt wearigna face covering (fair enough if exempt) but chewing gum like a donkey isn't a nice look! Asked if I wanted a bag, I said yes please, so she Chucked 3 at me, I said I only need 1, she replied "I've charged you now" I WON'T BE BACK. ITS LIKE THEY'VE BEEN GIVEN A JOB 10MINUTES BEFORE OPENING AND CUSTOMER CARE SKILLS ARE ZERO”

“All through this pandemic Uttoxeter home bargains staff have been exceptional. From Chris the manager to Sharon on the tills. The service received from ALL staff has been A+. The prices have ensured that me and my family have been able to have access to essential items such as hand sanitizers to face masks and disinfectants. Scented candles to help relaxation and keep anxieties at bay to art and craft items to be creative and keep occupied whilst staying indoors, home bargains has it all! Thank You!!!!! Masks available if you have forgot to bring your own and hand sanitizer on the door with wipes for baskets at all times, Excellent!”

“I was in Home Bargains, Craigavon 3 nights ago. There was a group of 5 people all bunched together at the check out. two of them had masks leaving their noses exposed, another was not wearing a mask at all. They were breathing all over us customers and the young man at the check out. I challanged them and their response was rude and belligerent. Surely You can insist that only people wearing masks can shop in your stores or do you want another lockdown and more deaths?”
