I am not able to track my claim. When I put in my reference Number online It says invalid number. I can't get through to talk with anyone on the phone. This company seems to be a scam.

Just made a booking through rental cars.com They charged my debit card $270aud but did not send a confirmation booking Upon talking to their representative he told me no booking was there and I would have to try again tomorrow as there was an issue with their system. Upon questioning why they have charged my card and now I cannot use funds he said I can assure you it will come back in a matter of seconds. Wasted 30 mins talking to them, still without my refund

Booked reservation in Portugal with Drive On Holidays through Chase Travel Portal, and they use Rentalcars in the background. I arrived at the location, and the company said it didn't have the reservation on its system. I contacted Chase for hours to resolve the issue (no luck). After submitting a charge back to the transaction, Rentalcars appears in the scenario. The rental car changed the story, saying we didn't show up at the location and our reservation exited with all the wrong dates and times. Chase has all the calls logged and recorded with the times. The 3 companies failed to provide good customer service. Reporting this company to BBB and FTC and the similar the authorities like to the rip-off car rental from Portugal.

Unfortunatelly, this has been the worst experience I ever had so far in my life from a service company. I booked a car with rentalcars and while the full amount for the whole rental period has been charged, when I cancelled the booking (within the window od 48 hours) the customer rep told be that they where unable to locate my booking. I had to go back and forth looping around and repeating my self in every single correspondance (exchanged more than 30 e-mails) for them to manage to raise a ticket with their finance department for a refund. They have asked for and I provided the bank transaction recept for the amount charged. Still after one month they haven't refunded the amount and they told me that they cannot commit on a time frame and I have to be paient!!! I have informed them that if they dont settle the refund within a week's time ie end of November 2022, I will file a coplaint with the consumer protection authorities and will see each other in court.

Terrible! We rent a car from Europcar but they ask us to pay a lot extra for the child seat, before we do that we do not get the car. Rentalcars says the amount is for 8 days, Europcar says it's for one day. Both do not come to a solution for us. Cancel the reservation costs money, getting the car costs extra money. What a thiefs!

RentalCars.com took a booking for the closing time of their vendor, with no warning that a major brand on-airport firm was not going to be open if I was even a minute late. Arrived at the rentals building as soon as the minorly delayed flight allowed, and they had all gone home in spite of having my flight number. The one-star is because RentalCars.com have refused to refund a trip that was not taken largely through their fault. Rip-off artists, avoid.

Do not rent from this company; they will nickel and dime you and charge you for things entirely out of your control. How am I supposed to contact a rental agency to let them know I'm running late while I'm in the middle of the air on an international flight that was delayed? And how can they NOT tell that I will be late when they HAVE my flight information? I was charged a "cancellation fee" because I showed up 12 hours late to pick up a car I had ALREADY PAID FOR, and the company HAD MY FLIGHT INFO TO KNOW I WOULD BE LATE. The company rented the car I had paid for to someone else and offered no recourse or. Rentalcars.com did the same and simply charged me for the full. The company is pure trash, do NOT rent from them. Go literally anywhere else.

I would have put zero but wasn’t an option. Seems to be a common theme of no reimbursement after not getting a car. I prepaid for a vehicle and insurance. When I arrived at the destination I didn’t have my credit card. I had the number and even called the credit card company who was willing to talk to the people. Once I was home It took a couple of days to reach someone. I was told to email my request for a reimbursement. A few days later I was denied. They stated that I was informed about needing the physical credit card. On their website I found where it actually says credit/debit card. The email they sent was from a no reply so I had to try once again to reach someone. I was given an email address and sent a screen shot of what it said online. I recently (3 weeks) later received an email again refusing my reimbursement. This time they stated it’s because I didn’t call them at the time I was refused the car. Really!!??? In that moment I was scrambling to find alternative transportation! Turns out it takes days to reach someone and weeks for a response. Not sure this could possible have made a difference. The last email again sent from a no reply email. After reading other similar complaints it is my opinion that this is definitely intentional. These people should be shut down. Car rental companies should not be using this third party company.

Use this service at your peril! They charged me heavily for a service I never received and prior to my trip, were not able to confirm the booking so I had to find a hire car elsewhere. 3 months later no refund. Every time I speak to customer service I get a different response and people are wildly unhelpful other than telling me they are 'looking into it'. Appalling!

No car given because I didn’t have a physical credit card (Apple Pay not accepted). Called the and told me they wouldn’t refund a penny very un politely. No car no money. Very unprofessional thieves

We lost all day during our trip in Catania because of rentalcars online booking system. They working with agency that require credit card, but when we booked a car via rentalcars.com few days before our trip they didn’t ask for credit card.We paid with electronic visa.We lost all day and around 150€ to hear from customer support that this is our fault to not knowing something that is required from Goldcar agency but not mention from rentalcars during our reservation. The check for that type of card is necessary because rentalcars don’t work with agency that allows you to pay with electronic card or Revolut. Finally we took a car from adduma agency that working with all kind of cards! We will never use rentalcars again!

Wish I had read this reviews page before booking this car. Absolute scammers and liars. When picking up my car after a 24 hour flight from Australia firstly it took forever to get from Heathrow to the car hire place, I thought the price would make it worth it but really if it looks to good to be true it generally is. When I arrived they told me I had booked an electric car but there was nothing on the paperwork to say that I had done so. They also forced me to buy insurance because they would not accept a debit card as the hold against the car, despite the fact it did not say this anywhere on paperwork. Ended up having to pay an extra foo pounds for the insurance and "upgrading" to a manual petrol car. Will never use them again.

Very dissapointed in the way customer service is dealing with my complain. Instead of the € 630,00 (including full insurance) I paid to rentalcars, Avis Budget has taken € 450,00 extra from my creditcard for attional cost. I am trying to get my money back for over 6 weeks now and they are pointing fingers towards each other. No reaction to my emails and by phone no one seems to have authority to solve the matter. Think again when you give a company access to your creditcard.

Terrible company! The deposit has not been returned since June. After 3 months correspondence, they simply relieved themselves of responsibility. I strongly do not recommend this company!

We booked a car and got a delay with pur flight so the company through rentals canceled the reservation without any notice. We ask to book an upgraded car and pay more they lied saying no cars available. We call cuatomer service to ask for our money back because we didn t pick up any car. They refused and told us the only way is to book another car through the same order , we agreed but guess what : they told us they have no car available in the whole city of rhodes the same day , we ask for the day after and same answer no cars available and again with all the days we were there (4 days) . Still didn t want to refund us ! We wrote a complain but a computer send us a response . There is strictly NO customer service!!! In my opinion we should write on as many social network as possible to tell people not to book with them !! That s what i ll do It s called stealing money ! It should be penal

Worst company every. I booked rental car via bookings.com and tried to cancel before pick up. I could not get through the the customer service. I past pick up time, did not pick up car and they refused to provide refund. The car rental company Rentalcars.com represent Easirent on Bookings.com, they are even worse. The have so many hidden fees. And there is nothing easy about their car rental. Horrible! Horrible! I will get my money back. I paid up front with Bookings.com. do not do that. You will lose you money. DO NOT RENT! DO NOT RENT!

My flight was delayed, I attempted to contact a rep and the number on my reservation and no one picked up. I called the company directly and was hung up on each time. Upon arriving to my destination and going to the rental desk I was advised that Rentalcars. com cancelled my reservation. I also saw that they charged my credit card for the full amount. The gentleman at the car rental desk advised that they do this often and its better to go directly through the car company. I received a better rate and the rental company was very helpful after a long trip do not use this site its a rip off and the insurance plan is a third party vendor which makes you pay first then reimburses you after several months of fighting. STAY AWAY that's why its 1.5 stars.

Disgrace. They cancelled my booking. And then sent me another advise to book another car. Apparently the other car was for a different time. On top they don’t state am or pm, so they make it even more misleading. By the way the cheap prices they give you are not real. What they do is confirm to you, charge your card, and then wait for a cancellation in order to be able to book. Legally they need to confirm within 24hr. So essentially you need to wait for 24hr for someone to cancel. Liars. Yea okay
