Absolutely pathetic service from takealot! Placed an order last week, was promise delivery yesterday before 5pm, got an email at 3pm to state that my parcel got lost in transit and the next delivery date is 06 February!? To add to that, they say that they have stock available, if that's the case I should receive my delivery immediately!!!!! Disgusted with their customer service.

They lost part of a return I made and is not investigating to see what happened, they are withholding my refund and you are unable to talk with anyone eho can actually assist you.

I'll NEVER use takealot again. I ordered over R450 to ensure a free delivery. A WEEK later, they said one item was out of stock. So I ordered a more expensive item instead so as to keep delivery free. They insist on charging me a delivery fee, and claim they cannot add it to my existing order?! What a dishonest money making business!!

Takealot should be ashamed of themselves It is dIsgusting and blatant robbing people. Mr Kim Reid you should be ashamed of yourself Yesterday Friday the 8th of January i wanted to buy a Oxygen finger meter at your company but needed some other products as well so i left all items in my cart, later moved it to my wishlist, now on Saturday 9th of January i wanted to buy the products and moved it back to my cart Man was i surprised the Oxygen meter was no longer available so i went to see why AND TO MY SURPRISE I COULD NOT BUY IT BECAUSE FROM YESTERDAY IT WAS R300 AND TODAY IT WAS R1 495 RAND IN 24HRS THE PRICE CHANGED IMMACULATE SO I NEEd TO KNOW WHY???? YOU ARE ROBBING US TREMENDOUSLY YOU MUST BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF NEEDLESS TO SAY ME AND MY HUSBAND IS REGULAR BUYERS BUT THIS IS SHOCKING!!!! I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. WAITING YOUR REPLY I AM STILL SHOCKED🙈🙈🤷‍♂️ VERY DISSAPOINTING

Be very careful takealot will not take responsibility for damage to a remote control car after a hour of use and the prop shaft breaks. They say its user damage not a warranty claim. They take you money and then stuff you.

Bought an ebook on 04 Jan 2021. Cannot download it, shows "in progress" for two days now. Cannot get hold of ANYONE. When you phone the number given on a Google search (nowhere else on the website is a number), the message tells me to fill in a form...where...? Wanted to support local businesses, but this will be the last ebook order. Absolutely pathetic service and support

received item ordered on morning of 17.12.2020. Packaging badly damaged. Looks like it was uplifted from a salvage shop and delivered. Takealot had tape across the box, which will obviously damage the packaging when removed. seems like they have LOST THE ESSENCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Absolutely terrible service. Ordered 3 item on 27 November. Out of 3 only 2 were in stock. Items were supposed to be delivered on 14 December. Still waiting on 15 December. Been through 5 plus agents. All promise to "Escalate it to the relevant department".

I ordered 3 products from Take-a-lot over the Black Friday weekend. When I checked out and before I paid, I was taken to a screen to choose a free product, I chose a cheap chinese headlamp as the free gift. I thought that I would give this to my father for his birthday which was in a few days. When my order arrived, there was NO packing slip, the box had one piece of tape to seal it closed and the delivery sticker and barcode sticker were placed on either side of the tape. The box contained 3 x items. 1 x of these items was the free gift, the headlamp. The other 2 x items are those which I had paid for however the 1 x item I had paid for was missing. I complained to Take-a-lot. First they informed me that if the box was not damaged, they would not be held liable. I complained further, sending them pictures of how pathetically the box had been sealed, etc. I also sent them pictures of the free gift which had 2 x sticker barcodes, the label of the product which was missing and another barcodes sticker. Now Take-a-lot has informed me that I must return the free gift (which I have already given to my father for his birthday), and they will then replace the missing item I purchased but never received. This is blatant THEFT...... I PAID FOR A PRODUCT WHICH NEVER ARRIVED and Take-a-lot has REFUSED to acknowledge that the product I PAID FOR was not delivered to me. This is DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR on the part of Take-a-lot. It is theft, they have stolen money from me

I will never buy from takealot again and advise the public not to as well.I ordered a key board for my son.They missed the promised delivery date and when I enquired,they cancelled my order.They never had the decency of calling me but rather send a mail and not even furnish reasons as to why it was cancelled .

What the F takealot!!! I was busy with a transaction in purchasing a new TV wich was on your exclusive blue dot sale. When the payment was almost finalized you gave me an error, okay so after doing the whole process all over again (which was so annoying), you miraculously add R2000.00 on the same product. How is this even possible???? In a few seconds??? This is total BS!! I will never ever do business with you again, nor will my friends and family. You can go F.u.C.k yourself

I am not sure what's the point paying for express delivery from Takealot because they always make sure they deliver to me at the latest possible moment within their SLA. The sad part is that I live less than 10 kilometres away from their Warehouse in Johannesburg, so instead of delivering to me first, they end up delivering to me last. That is really stupid..!!??

People should be very careful when buying online with Takealot, they deducted 4 times the amount that was actually due. Despite proof of the fraudulent transaction, I have been waiting for a week to get a refund of the amount stolen out my account. I have wasted hours of time and wasted airtime to get it sorted, to no avail! Be careful shoppers! Best option is NOT to shop on-line with TAKEALOT!

Such horrible and fake customer service, smiles are non-existent with this horrendous and completely unprofessional company that misled and mishandled me on 3 separate ocassions in a row. This after I had to deal with poor customer service from Vodacom, Rain and MTN. I ask to speak to a manager 3 times and get ignored, all I get is a heartless copy and pasted apology via email. I have been a long standing and loyal patron of the Company for many many years and buy basically eveything from them and yet they couldn't be bothered to call me, when requested to. This after numerous false promises and extremely uncaring and very poor customer service to say the very least, I am now left with no other option than to seek counsel as to how to go about doing something within my legal rights to fight this underhanded behaviour I have been subjected to, I have been lied to and misinformed too many times now and will not recommend or support this rubbish company ever again, unless something is done and standards are brought back to how they used to be. Tomorrow I expect compensation and a huge apology from all involved in this huge mess created by Takealot.com. My times has been severly wasted by incompentance and a serious lack of any and all customer care!!! I am serioiusly furious right now and putting you on my to sue list, which had included ?Vodacom but at least they had the common sense and decency to apologise and compensate me, Rain I am going to sue for thousands of rands still, they now ignore any correspondence with me, MTN I am emailing a huge letter of complaint this weekend and threatening to sue for broken promises as well. I have huge evidence against all these companies and now against yours as well. Unless something is done to rectify this mess soon, expect more from me to follow!!!

What a rubbish company, I have phone evidence and email evidence against them and now they are avoiding me entirely for some reason, I have requested a call from a manager or supervisor about 10 times now and so many broken promises and lies, so now I am going to sue them and expose them.

As a seller I can tell you takealot damaged 1000s of rand if my products I’ve see how their drivers throws the boxes, the kept over R14 000 of my money in sales but they want their 15% cut of the profit, there 20% for delivering the parcel and R345 subscription fee every month, when a customer returns the product because they changed their mind takealot doesn’t put it into stock they rather lose it. This is our takealot works against South Africans, Foreigners will be successful in our country while our own people like takealot will break us down. They suspended my account right in season and doesn’t want to pay me my money for sales. I have sent emails no response and phones don’t work. As a small business that suffered terribly during COVID -19 I feel like they just cut my hands off because all my money was invested in my products
