I ordered a blood pressure monitor urgently needed by my wife. On its arrival at the East London depot we could not access the QR code and the attendant would not release it even with my proven I.D. There is no customer care phone no. on their website, you have to Google the company to find it. After waiting an eternity on the phone the first attendant promised to phone me back...she did not! The second attendant promised that the first would phone me back and she did not A third attendant emailed with a totally irrelevant question. This is so pathetic when all the while I could simply pick up my parcel with an I.d. Looks like Takealot is trying to be too smart with its "QR" codes but is failing miserably to apply pure logic, human courtesy and honesty!

Takealot order placed more than two weeks ago for a Canon printer. Delivered 4 days later without cartridges. Took takealot 2 days and many phone calls later to ask that I log a return. I lodgged a return and opted for depot drop off which I did. Many more emails and phone calls later and takealot have finally realized that the printer is still at the depot. Surprise I have to wait for collection a week and a half after I dropped it off for the printer to be collected then checked then then then a replacement sent. Really. Who are they kidding. A good way to loose customers. No communication

This is unacceptable, I have contacted TakeAlot LAST WEEK MONDAY About this issue of them delivering thing I did not order and not deliver anything of what I actually ordered and TakeAlot refuses to do anything about the mistake THEY HAVE MADE. You then force the customer to run after you. This is not how you conduct business. I would accept your apologies, but it's only lies, all I got from you lot the last week is apologies with no action at all

Be careful, if, that is if they actually deliver the right things, it's okay. But when they deliver nothing you ordered, it's a mission to get hold of them, customer service number is not listed on their site, can guess why. When you finally get hold of them they give empty promises and empty words that they have escalated it, more BS words that another telecoms company loves to use. Then they force you to wait for their screw-up to be fixed by them, because they care, more BS. Let's just hope you never have to deal with this lot for when they did not deliver what you ordered.

I have had good to great service with Takealot.com in the last 5 to 6 years. But, this time, what a shocking experience. I have logged 3 or 4 returns over the years and no problems with resolving. I recently, in January 2021 actually, logged a return for a pair of sneakers I purchased in September 2020 as they starting tarnishing and I wasn't even wearing them every day, they were bought as a casual, weekend shoe/sneaker. All logged, communication sent that the return has been picked up, accepted, and being processed. 48 hours gone by and nothing. I checked the status on the app, and it said that it is "concluded". Mmmm, concluded means that I should've known about the conclusion, which I never knew about. After me clicking on the "help" button on the app and website, I received a reply: "your return was received unsealed and was declined". I asked about this, and it was said to me via email that "unsealed" means that the sneakers have been used and worn and the policy and process say that faulty items must be returned within 7 days... I mean, I need to see if the quality of a pair of shoes is good or bad within 7 days? A Mariska contacted me saying that she is investigating and 96 hours later, nothing! Very bad service and Takealot.com advertises as being the leader in online retail. I wonder!

Watch out for Takealot ebooks. You pay for them but after a time you no longer are able to access them on new devices . I have never had this problem with Kindle, Google books or Kobo. These other companies actually allow me access to the books I have paid for! Do they not get a proper licence for the ebooks I wonder

Absolutely pathetic service from takealot! Placed an order last week, was promise delivery yesterday before 5pm, got an email at 3pm to state that my parcel got lost in transit and the next delivery date is 06 February!? To add to that, they say that they have stock available, if that's the case I should receive my delivery immediately!!!!! Disgusted with their customer service.

They lost part of a return I made and is not investigating to see what happened, they are withholding my refund and you are unable to talk with anyone eho can actually assist you.

I'll NEVER use takealot again. I ordered over R450 to ensure a free delivery. A WEEK later, they said one item was out of stock. So I ordered a more expensive item instead so as to keep delivery free. They insist on charging me a delivery fee, and claim they cannot add it to my existing order?! What a dishonest money making business!!

Takealot should be ashamed of themselves It is dIsgusting and blatant robbing people. Mr Kim Reid you should be ashamed of yourself Yesterday Friday the 8th of January i wanted to buy a Oxygen finger meter at your company but needed some other products as well so i left all items in my cart, later moved it to my wishlist, now on Saturday 9th of January i wanted to buy the products and moved it back to my cart Man was i surprised the Oxygen meter was no longer available so i went to see why AND TO MY SURPRISE I COULD NOT BUY IT BECAUSE FROM YESTERDAY IT WAS R300 AND TODAY IT WAS R1 495 RAND IN 24HRS THE PRICE CHANGED IMMACULATE SO I NEEd TO KNOW WHY???? YOU ARE ROBBING US TREMENDOUSLY YOU MUST BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF NEEDLESS TO SAY ME AND MY HUSBAND IS REGULAR BUYERS BUT THIS IS SHOCKING!!!! I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. WAITING YOUR REPLY I AM STILL SHOCKED🙈🙈🤷‍♂️ VERY DISSAPOINTING

Be very careful takealot will not take responsibility for damage to a remote control car after a hour of use and the prop shaft breaks. They say its user damage not a warranty claim. They take you money and then stuff you.

Bought an ebook on 04 Jan 2021. Cannot download it, shows "in progress" for two days now. Cannot get hold of ANYONE. When you phone the number given on a Google search (nowhere else on the website is a number), the message tells me to fill in a form...where...? Wanted to support local businesses, but this will be the last ebook order. Absolutely pathetic service and support

received item ordered on morning of 17.12.2020. Packaging badly damaged. Looks like it was uplifted from a salvage shop and delivered. Takealot had tape across the box, which will obviously damage the packaging when removed. seems like they have LOST THE ESSENCE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Absolutely terrible service. Ordered 3 item on 27 November. Out of 3 only 2 were in stock. Items were supposed to be delivered on 14 December. Still waiting on 15 December. Been through 5 plus agents. All promise to "Escalate it to the relevant department".

I ordered 3 products from Take-a-lot over the Black Friday weekend. When I checked out and before I paid, I was taken to a screen to choose a free product, I chose a cheap chinese headlamp as the free gift. I thought that I would give this to my father for his birthday which was in a few days. When my order arrived, there was NO packing slip, the box had one piece of tape to seal it closed and the delivery sticker and barcode sticker were placed on either side of the tape. The box contained 3 x items. 1 x of these items was the free gift, the headlamp. The other 2 x items are those which I had paid for however the 1 x item I had paid for was missing. I complained to Take-a-lot. First they informed me that if the box was not damaged, they would not be held liable. I complained further, sending them pictures of how pathetically the box had been sealed, etc. I also sent them pictures of the free gift which had 2 x sticker barcodes, the label of the product which was missing and another barcodes sticker. Now Take-a-lot has informed me that I must return the free gift (which I have already given to my father for his birthday), and they will then replace the missing item I purchased but never received. This is blatant THEFT...... I PAID FOR A PRODUCT WHICH NEVER ARRIVED and Take-a-lot has REFUSED to acknowledge that the product I PAID FOR was not delivered to me. This is DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR on the part of Take-a-lot. It is theft, they have stolen money from me

I will never buy from takealot again and advise the public not to as well.I ordered a key board for my son.They missed the promised delivery date and when I enquired,they cancelled my order.They never had the decency of calling me but rather send a mail and not even furnish reasons as to why it was cancelled .
