I bought a pair of Victoria Beckham trousers on 30 December. Vestiaire sent an email after 3 days that the seller has got covid and was therefore unable to send them. I replied that it of course can wait a little but this is now 3 weeks ago and I haven’t heard from them since. When I look at the status it says that the item would be sent within 7 days. It’s impossible to contact Vestiaire by email. They just send you back to their robot driven chatbox which is not helpful at all as you have to choose the specific issue. And this issue of missed delivery is not on the list. I’ve three items to sell and sold one already but I will not sell the other items. I bought two items, a miu miu bag which was excellent and a Bulgari make-up purse which was not as I expected. I will not use Vestiaire anymore and I’m telling anyone who asks me not to either. Be prepared for a lot of hustle if you get a problem.

It's ridiculous, I live in London, in a high rise, there are about 50 apartments, Vestiaire decided that because somebody else has the same address (remember this is a high rise where over 50 people share the address) I have multiple accounts, heaven help the people who might house share, welcome to the 21st century, VC obviously isn't there yet, oddly enough I had to sent them scans of my driving license and a utility bill previously, because their awful (they go for the cheapest one) delivery service lost one of my items. It's a joke....

Unpredictable, Untrustworthy, Dysfunctional they lost my Helmut Lang Skirt over a month ago the customer service here is terrible they have lost 2 of the 14 items I have sold as compared to Poshmark which has lost none of 90 and the "help desk" is useless they just give you the runaround. I sold a Helmut Lang skirt over a month ago have not gotten paid they won't look into where it is won't do anything but tell me

If I could give this website a MINUS 100 I would! Worse selling experience of my life! I sold them a authentic delvaux bag tagged with the serial number booklet receipts and all and they still knocked it back telling me it's fake! Now it's stuck at customs as they want me to pay duty and tax again!!! This company and the people who work in it are an absolute joke! Takes them so long to reply to emails and you can't contact them directly either now I wonder why that is lol. STAY AWAY PEOPLE THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT DESIGNER AUTHENTICATION AS THEY WILL NO ANSWER MY QUESTION OF HOW ARE THEY QUALIFIED TO ASSESS AND AUTHENTICATE BRANDS! STAY AWAY!!!!

Absolute Crooks! I would give zero stars if I could . I first tried to help a buyer with a delayed parcel by contacting Hermes for her- but Vestiaire banned permanently from the chat (!) for doing this! The parcel has been delivered , the Hermes tracking shows this but Vestiaire have not marked it as so, and refuse to do so despite the tracking information - this means will not get paid because it says it has not arrived when it had and Ivan not contact the buyer because I am banned. I advise all potential buyers to avoid at all costs , I wish I had read all the reviews first.

Disappointing experience! I purchased a pair of boots through them, which weren’t the verified size and now I’ve spent almost a month trying to get a refund. It’s been such a pain!

This company is horrible and I will never purchase from them again. The qc team checked a Chanel bag that I purchased and didn’t notice that the hologram serial number was missing. There was also trash in the bag. How do you inspect a bag and miss that? Trying to get a refund issued is a nightmare. They told me to send the bag back so that they can do another qc check. If they missed these things the first time they’ll miss them again. I am done with purchasing anything else from this company.

After I made my first sale the buyer claimed the bag wasn’t legit. Totally untrue according to entrupy and the vendor I got it from who has been in the business for 25 years! They withheld my payment but the buyer never sent the bag to be checked by vestaire “experts” I’ve tried and tried, but after over half a coven text exchanges with agents who deliberately make conversations go in circles: I would say what my issue was and they would. Follow up with a statement or question that keeps the dialogue from moving further . Or they just lie, one agent said my bag was on its way to vestaire, 8 days later I try another agent and they tell me the buyer must send my bag but has 7 days to do so… I was like, “it’s been over 8!days!!! The whole time I was able to communicate with the buyer, she acted as though nothing was wrong. Claimed she asked for a shipping label, never got one so she just held onto the bag without following up. That doesn’t sound like the action of someone who just bought a “fake” bag. Those actions are of a shady thief who made a claim in order to stop payment, they kept the merchandise and enjoyed it without paying. I can no longer reach vestaire, my chat function in app does Nothing when I open it. Vestaire supports buyers who stiff a seller and then cut communication. I have no recourse, my property is in the hands of a liar and thief. And the platform is running business as usual. They are awful, no one should try selling there, too much Risk bc this could happen to anyone

I have had the worst experience in this site 3 times and I am done!!! The REAL REAL, The Luxury Closet are far more better, cheaper and nicer to deal with. On vestiaire vestiaire I made 3 attempts to purchase shoes they took my money 3 times and after 2 weeks just when I thought I was getting them delivered (same shoes) they would cancel the order and refund me but made money on the actual checking of item 3 times and will not refund even though they say it was a technical fault. Terrible!!! TERRIBLE!!! They deduct also over $100 in fees on each item. I have never dealt with such crooks! Please be careful!!!! They give you a tracking number and then cancel the order! Absolute waste of time. The staff was extremely unhelpful and rude! Check out the orders below. It has happened with everything I have ordered! Time to move on.

DO NOT BUY/SELL on Vestiaire Collective. I sold my item on 10/30/21. VC emailed me and I sent the item to the Buyer 11/1/21 using the address provided to me from VC. On VCs website I notified them that the package had been sent and provided the USPS Tracking No. I contacted the Buyer on 11/9/21 to let them know their package was on it's way. For some unknown reason from the date the package was picked up at the P.O. 11/1/21 it was held in NJ for 8 days. I received another email that the item had been Authenticated. The buyer did not receive the package until 11/10/21. I asked VC when would I receive payment. They told me after they rec'd confirmation from the Buyer, I would receive payment, but I should wait to hear from them. They contacted the Buyer who said they had no problems with the item. The next email said that payment had been triggered and to expect any day. After waiting several days, I contacted VC again to find out the status of payment. They said the Buyer had cancelled the order and had been refunded the money owed to me. I have sent attachments of my usps tracking receipts, copies of emails from Customer Service, chats conversations. They have not sent me back my Balenciaga Boots worth $400 to me. Nor paid me because the Buyer decided to keep the boots. All I've gotten from VC is they are working on returning the item to me or getting back the refund they sent to the Buyer. I don't care what they do, all I want is either payment for my sale; or return my merchandise to me. I wish I had known there were so many complaints against this consignment site. I will NEVER use them again, and I advise you to go elsewhere. You'll never be compensated!!!!

I bought coat from them, item was listed the wrong size (French size given when the size was Italian, as a result it was too small and I couldn't close the coat, measurements also wrong) it went through their authentication, they should have picked up the size problem and the wrong measurements, they didn't and I couldn't return, only relist, which I did but I had to use the original description (horrible as I could not alert a buyer, so I mentioned it in the comments as I didn't want anybody else to get stung), with relisting they use the same text, exactly the same and the same measurements, same pictures, I tried to upload new pictures they were not approved, apparently duplicates (they weren’t), I could only request that they change the measurements later but it was still listed as a French size, so when somebody who needs a French 38 sees the Italian measurements of an Italian 38 it doesn't fit, an Italian 38 is like a French 34, a UK 6 or smaller), somebody bought it eventually (after I had reduced it to a fraction of what I paid for) and had it sent to a drop off point, then I got told it will be returned to me for non compliance, buyer alerted them. I wanted to know what was wrong as it was the coat I had bought from them earlier (and sold for much much less as a coat that doesn't fit is no good) I was told it is not compliant and a picture which I thought must be a mistake because it didn't show the coat I sold, not even the same colour, which I told them. Reply the picture the buyer provided shows it is non compliant. I tell them again the picture that they showed is not the item I sent out, same reply "Buyer returned because item is not compliant" - robotic to the extreme. You can imagine how pleased I was to get a ripped old anorak back, my coat was dark grey and Bottega Veneta, what I got back is a no name washed out khaki and in a state that it is only fit for the bin - but the return is now closed... I can't even get the buyer as the drop off shop was a Tesco Express. I won't use them again, I heard similar stories when people bought bags that turned out fake, they just told them to re-list. I bought the coat for £680 including sending and authentication, pre Brexit so luckily no other charges, sold it for £120 (after a year I just wanted to get rid of it) which stung but that way I thought I didn't make a total loss, only I did! They spam you with mails to lower your price, lower your price, they take their commission but as a buyer and a seller, you can’t expect any help! I will NEVER use the website again, on Trustpilot they replied with a standard text, to get in touch with them as they are there to help - when I did, I was told the issue is closed and then Trustpilot removed my review despite me showing them evidence that I contacted Vestiaire and the replies from them, screen shots of my profile with item number and all, but then Vestiaire pays Trustpilot, so trusting Trustpilot is about as good as trusting Vestiaire, both are not trustworthy! Oh best thing was when I said "If you keep continuing to act like this, the company will suffer" the reply was "We are doing more business than before" - yes, on the backs of people who trust you and who get screwed over. Bye Vestiaire, I trust in "What goes around comes around" you got a lot coming!

I made bad experiences as a buyer and a seller. As a buyer an item that I knew was genuine and had a flaw (seller mentioned a scratch at the bottom of the bag) was cancelled, I tried to contact VC that I do want the item, no reply, just that the order was cancelled due to non-compliant. I managed to buy the bag anyway on another site, same seller and I am very happy with it, VC was uncommunicative to the extreme. I thought it was a rare incident and risked selling my items, making sure I always describe each issue and try to take pictures of every small scratch and mark, you would think it helps, actually it didn't. A lot of items went through without a hitch, but then the odd person not reading descriptions cancelled, on top of it 2 items with direct shipping were swapped by the "buyer" for worthless items, and really nasty things were returned to me, trying to contact them about it did not work, the same automated answers. The shipping also lost one item, I had to jump through hoops and give them really sensitive confidential information, like a bank statement and my passport just so they would open an investigation with the carrier they forced on me. There are also a lot of problems with using the website, not all the features work, if they promise you a voucher, you have to use the app, given that the app also has a lot of problems (I once used it briefly and deleted it when I found out they track you everywhere). I seriously worry about giving confidential information to a company that can't even keep their website updated so it works and figured I rather not sell or buy through them as they seem to have no interest in any kind of customer service. From the replies I received from customer service, I am not sure if they didn't understand or didn't care, but they all seem to have access to your private information. We are living in a time where identity theft is a serious worry, I prefer to give such sensitive information to companies who maintain their sites, not with flashy ads but with having the features available for every user. I deleted my account because I simply don't trust them. I heard they raised millions, shame that they didn't invest the money in customer service or accessability.

What was a great idea and looked very promising has turned out to be a massive mess! Vestiaire does not support Macs, half the features don’t work, for example there is no chance to confirm the availability of your items, if they send you the “How did we do” again it does not work, their customer support seems to be robotic or extremely badly trained, giving you auto replies and trying to get you off chat asap. If you have a problem, you get auto replies. The direct shipping is open to all sort of frauds and Vestiaire does not care, the amount of users who put up an item and got a damaged item or another item back, and Vestiaire is not interested. Their quality check is super inconsistent, if you do mention minor flaws, the team does not read the description, you get your item back, they don’t really care for what they promise on the website. Apparently they managed to raise a lot of cash for the concept, and while I admit the concept is great, the execution is extremely poor. Listing an item and describing it takes a lot of time, you then will get harassed to sell cheaper and cheaper, then eventually your item, your item damaged, or a completely different item, will be returned to you. Why go through that pain? I know there are fraudsters on every site, but with Vestiaire, you know that you have no help at all from the website, you get auto replies that show they don’t even read what you wrote. Vestiaire could be a wonderful concept, the problem is “COULD BE” the reality is “IT IS NOT” The way it works is that you paid a lot for an item, wore it maybe once or twice, sometimes not at all and figured it is not for you, you put it on a website where you sell it cheaper than a used chain store product, you get spammed with lower your price (it seems to be a race to the bottom) emails, people with no money think they deserve a high end item for next to nothing and will pester you, when you sell eventually, you have 7 days to ship. Pretty often the shipping label doesn’t work, the shipping company loses the item, the buyer will damage or switch the item and demand a return. They promise to protect you but in reality they don’t. Brilliant idea, horrendous execution, best avoided. I am aware that every website has flaws, however Vestiaire seems to have nothing but flaws! A bit like the Halloween House - ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK - but you can be sure to be burned. Spare yourself the pain, keep your items or give them to friends! Vestiaire has no interest in circular fashion, they are only interested in profit, at your expense, cheapest customer support (aka none) cheapest shipping... Compared to them eBay support is luxurious...

I opened an account about 2 months ago to get rid of some items, I received mails to confirm the availability of my items, but the link didn't work. I reached out to customer service repeatedly, explained that I am using the webpage via a Macintosh laptop and my browsers are Chrome and Firefox. I was told they checked it works, the items were deleted. This was repeated 3 times, out of roughly 50 items there was ONE left when I got the mail again, this happened in the space of roughly 2 months. I deleted my account today and seeing the experiences others have made, I am glad I did. At least I still have the clothes and can sell them elsewhere or give them away, but I do regret the time and effort I wasted, I should have put them on another site! Given the customer support I have received (which was basically no customer support at all) I think I consider myself lucky that I never sold anything with them.

I bought a pair of Prada boots from them, it was with express shipping (already with them, quality control done, listed by their conscierge service) so I got them fairly quickly which was great, only they didn’t fit, the shoes were listed as an EU size (Prada does both EU and Italian sizing) but came as an Italian size, I tried them on and they were much too big for me. Nice shoes but just way too big to ever fit. When I reached out to them I was finally told I could not return but relist them. I did and now the nightmare starts. 1st of all I sold them for a lot less. The buyer decided to use direct shipping so I packed the boots (never worn) and shipped to the buyer with DHL as the buyer was in France. 1st thing that made me wonder was that she didn’t pick them up, they were for a week waiting for pickup as she decided to have them shipped to a collection point. I only get paid after the buyer has them physically in her possession. I’m waiting for payment and doesn’t happen, all of a sudden I get a mail that the buyer has reported a problem and the boots will be returned to me. I was stunned. I only tried them on and then packed them again as they didn’t fit, they were in the same state I brought them, I sent them with the box, dust bag, card, tissue paper, just like I received them. I tried to contact Vestiaire and was told that the buyer reported to have received something else and supplied them with a picture and according to their rules the sale is cancelled. Imagine my surprise when I got a parcel delivered with DHL and in the parcel were not the Prada boots I had sent but a pair of truly ruined, smelly men’s shoes. I reached out to Vestiaire Collective and was told it was a return, the sale is cancelled and I received my “non compliant item back” - I did not! I tried to check for the sender address, it doesn’t exist, I thought this can’t be possible and contacted DHL, after being on the phone for over an hour, I was finally told that my parcel was sent via a DHL drop off shop and not collected from the (not existing) address. They also don’t keep the ID of the person who picks up items on file, the pickup points assume that if someone has an ID and collects a parcel for a person, signs for it, it’s valid as they know the name. Basically I now paid for somebody’s Prada boots and got a pair of men’s trainers back. I would like to warn everyone about direct shipping! And if you need help from Vestiaire, don’t expect anything!
