Appalling returns process. A Tissot watch was delayed and wouldn't arrive in time so I asked to cancel. This was not possible given they are private sellers - fair enough - but they offered to relist it for free instead which I agreed to. They then did not relist it and when I contacted them subsequently to check up on this they told me this was not possible as the time period had expired.

Misleading Discounts & Unfair Return Policy – Avoid! I had a very disappointing experience with Vestiaire Collective. They advertise discounts (e.g., 15% off) without clearly stating that there’s a cap (£40 max), which is extremely misleading. You only find out after going through the checkout process, wasting your time. Additionally, their return policy is unfair—they only allow returns for items bought from “professional sellers.” If you buy from an individual, you’re stuck with the item, even if it’s not as described. I received something that looked noticeably different from the listing, but because it wasn’t from a “professional seller,” I had no option to return it. Between their deceptive promotions and restrictive return policies, I would strongly advise against using Vestiaire Collective unless you’re willing to take the risk of being misled and stuck with an item that isn’t what you expected.

Absolutely ridiculous company! I sold a watch which was lost by their courier and I was never compensated. And now I have a bag that was returned by the buyer - even though it was in good condition and no faults at all - and 5 weeks later I have still not received the bag back! Dont deal with them - its an absolute nightmare!!

I bought a skirt that was listed by the seller as "Never Worn". Under Vestiaire Collective's description of Never Worn, the item is almos like new. When I received the skirt it was damaged, the fabric with white spots throughout, a tear on the inside waist seam, wrinkled and an absolute mess. VC sent me a label for return after posting the photos of it and they refused my Refund request, have not been forthcoming at all and flat out claim the seller's photos were compliant, refusing to admit that the Never Worn Condition was anything but compliant. Very disappointing experience, they cahrge a fortune for vetting the items and this is what you might get, someone in a bad mood deciding to refuse you a refund on an item that is not complying with their seller guidelines. Horrible. Beware. Never ever again buying from VC.

If I could give them zero star, I would. I sold an authentic LV wallet and when it made it to their warehouse they rejected my item saying it didn’t meet to their standards for the engravings/metallic parts/fasteners and they couldn’t even be more specific about it! The best is yet to come, I had to pay $15 just to have them ship it back to me otherwise they would destroy the item if it wasn’t claimed within 6 months! After doing so, the item was authenticated through real authentication and I sent the info over to them and they still denied my claim. I was requesting my $15 back since I was at no fault and they couldn’t own up to their mistake.

Total joke, somebody bought an expensive item and the address looked totally wrong, seems to go to a Hotel in Poland, so I googled the address and the name of the hotel, it doesn't exist, contacted customer service, after letting me wait for ages they told me to send because if I cancel I get bad feedback and if it can't be delivered they have a department who deals with that. Well, the problem is that I am shipping from the UK, so I will have to pay customs and return postage for my own item. I did point out that the address does not exist, same answer "Send or cancel, if you cancel your account will be negatively impacted!"

They are never on time. If you want to buy present for somebody buy it one year before then maybe you will get your items on time! Now second time I buy at them and for zure the last time.

Customer service is terrible. They are not ready to help you, sending generic messages etc. They also provided wrong information about my sold item which lead me to sell it and then I earned less money then they informed me. After that, his colleague did nothing to help but only said “ I am sorry for my friend giving you false information “and that was it. So be careful cause if you will have an issue with anything nobody will help you. Don’t sell your items there, that can’t be trusted.

Do not buy from this site. The description of all items do not match. Dust bag was suppose to be included wasn’t in the package. I returned the item and received a return slip because the agent agreed the item did not match. Then after waiting for 7 days they refused the refund they have placed the item on my account to sell. Then they want more fees to deduct from me from if it gets sold. Seriously this company is making money just doing this. The Chatline are not helpful at all stopped the conversation.

Horrible company, STAY AWAY if you’re in the US!!!! No buyers protection!!!! I was a first time buyer (and last) on this platform, my dream coat went on sale for a great price and I jumped on it. The site said they offer a 10% first time buyer discount, use welcomevc code. The total reflected a $35 shipping and that’s it. Then I put my address in and it asked how I want to pay, I chose Apple Pay and after I clicked pay I noticed I was charged around a $1000 more than expected. Firstly I only got $50 off instead of 10%, I got charged a $210 tax and $580 in import fees. I immediately contacted the seller asking her not to ship because I have to figure out what these charges are and then talked to customer service, they did not offer any help! They told me only the seller can cancel an order to message her and they were sure the seller would cancel, why can’t they contact the seller? I’m sure they have a phone number for the seller! Since I have dual citizenship, I asked the rep to change the shipping address to my European address and refund the Vat charge and she said there is no way to do that. Why not? Item hasn’t been shipped yet and even if it was, it was shipped to their “authenticator” for physical review, they can ship it to anywhere from there! But the answer was no! I hung up and messaged the seller as that’s the only way to contact her and asked her to cancel the order. She didn’t reply and an hour later I got a notification that the seller shipped! If she got a notice that she sold her item, she got a notice about my messages too, she ignored it to make a sale! I have been fighting with the company since with no resolution. I’m going to dispute the charge and at this point I don’t even trust the authenticating process, nor the sellers description. Oh and on top of it the site says free returns within 14 days, shipping is on them but then it says only from professional sellers… meaning if you’re not satisfied with your order you are screwed!

I ordered a Gucci Bag and I agreed to pay in 3 terms. Now they have charged me one term extra: €258,30. It seems no one is directly available to help me with this. There is only a chat but still no one helped me to solve it. I already blocked my creditcard and now waiting for a new card. I would not recommend to split the payment since they just took an extra payment from my card. Perhaps if I wouldn’t have payed in one time by for instance I Deal, that everything would have been fine but now it isn’t.

I purchased a cashmere scarf on 11/21- got a confirmation. I'll admit, I did not read the note fully, only to discover that it was not perfect as described. Smelled of smoke and a few flaws. I reached out within minutes to try to cancel- I was told that I could not! Today is 12/18, and I have yet to receive it. I would not recommend them, and I'm very glad that I did not purchase an expensive item! No more from them

I bought a handbag from L. V. for almost 1200€, reference 48952900. However, the handbag is in a very bad condition, it can hardly be opened. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after a few days. A handbag in this condition should never have passed Vestiaire's quality control. Vestiaire has not proposed an acceptable solution, only to do further business with Vestiaire. In the meantime, customer service no longer responds to my complaint. The whole thing is very expensive and extremely unsatisfactory for such a scrap.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a Dior bag when it arrived to me, the key ring didn't have the letter i and it wasn't 27cm in size as described, but 21. I immediately took photos of everything and was thrilled. They haven't wanted to give me my money back for over a month now. This week, without my permission or knowledge, they put the bag I returned for sale on my list!!!!! And they said it was checked again by the "experts" and everything the seller said was correct, so they put the bag up for sale. I immediately sent the photos to prove that what they said was a lie! AV is doing everything not to return my money! Please note that before the verification, a report of everything was sent to us and now nothing has been sent to us! When even today the VC's response is that as it was in line with what the seller would say would be put up for sale, it's all here!!! I immediately sent the photo of the description made by the seller and the photos I took, with everything with a ruler! He proved with the photos that what they said once again, in the “expert verification” was a lie. SHAMEFUL They do everything they can to not return the money! They even blatantly lie!!!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!

Vestiaire Collective is a french company. I don't think they understand or care about American consumer protection or American customer service. They have HUNDREDS of unanswered complaints on the Better Business Bureau and a rating of F, the lowest possible rating. They have disabled their support email and their PR and professional seller email and their phone in NYC - my guess is because of all the complaints. Chats are boiler plate and are no help at all, just canned apologies. I refuse to buy from them. I sold 6 items in a closet clear out before I quit because of unscrupulous buyers. Their authentication is a joke. I'm sticking with American companies that have the same products and you have recourse.

Vestiaire Collective is now a sinking ship. What was once a promising initiative is now a dying dinosaur. The not so smart introduction of the buyer fee last year which keeps inflating and constant changes to terms & conditions have exasperated an already critical situation. For more than 3 years I have been buying and selling on VC and from both perspectives it has been nothing other than a deplorable experience! To stay I have almost had a mental breakdown while doing so due to the lack of any corporate values and direction, proper service and support from trained professionals is an understatement. To be at the mercy of their amateur authentication team is a frightening experience they should be renamed business prevention team as they make constant errors which result in lost sales. To retain Expert Seller status even after making 150 sales you must sell at least 5 items every 6 months to retain it. This is currently an impossible task given that nobody completes their purchase now that buying fees and currency conversion fees are so high. It has depleted all International sales from US and Australia which were previously the biggest consumers now totally wiped out. Both buyers and sellers are angry at prices over inflated due to added extras. The only ones making money are now VC and they do very little to facilitate sales which surely is the point of this platform. Is there any end to this greed which is effectively sinking the ship. What is the end game plan here.... Trying to engage and offer feedback to senior management is a waste of time they are not interested and despite promises make no improvements. They are just hanging in there for PR purposes and just want to look good and get money from investors in the hope of eventually cashing out. To add insult to injury you are slating high street brands in your latest campaign, is this to make yourselves look better! Very poor etiquette considering you have created a massive vacuum in fashion resale where items take many years to sell and are stuck in what is like a Bermuda Triangle of fashion. Perhaps take a look in the mirror VC - do you really like what you see? Is your ego so big and are your values so narcissistic that you continue to be tone deaf?

Absurd, I haven't used it for a couple of months after a bad experience, today I get an email that if I don't log in within 30 days they will delete my account and offered me a €20 Voucher, decided to have a look around and maybe buy something, but when I tried to log in, I couldn't as they had deactivated my account..... 30 days? Really? And obviously no way to reach them....

Decided to sell a dress I had worn once and was hanging in my closet for 3 years, not an expensive dress, one of the highstreet brands Vestiaire accepts, they immediately suspended my account... Seriously, after 3 years they expect me to keep a receipt for a dress that is not even designer? This is totally absurd!

This company is a total farce and if I could give them a zero I would. I sent them a rose gold BVLGARI necklace and a pair of GUCCI trainers to sell (both brand new) and they sold really quickly within a week. Then VC decided that they couldn't authenticate my items so they are going to destroy them. The customer service is terrible and they owe me £1000 for the items they are going to destroy!!! Have reported them to trading standards, watchdog and the financial ombudsmen. Next step is solicitors!! Do not trust them.
