They charge 15$ for authentication, which is worthless because they have no idea how to do it. IF you see a lot of negative comments about their customer service, it's fully warranted. They have no refund service so if the seller is good , you're good, if not, tough luck.

I bought a Gucci Ring on December 15th 2023, which went through a "Quality Process or Authentication review," and I finally received it an hour ago (Jan 4th 2024). The ring came with a Vestiare Card "Inspected by ALISSON," and I cut it to try it on. One little pearl was missing, so I just reported it immediately to Vestiare through its chat. While chatting with Luciano from Vestiare, I went back to the original listing, and I realized that the Seller posted pictures of the ring with all the pearls, so either the seller posted pictures from Gucci (to hide the missing pearl) or Vestiare damaged the ring during the authentication process. AND NOW I HAVE TO KEEP A RING THAT IS OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! Three years ago, I also bought a Fendi beanie that went through the authentication process. Unfortunately, I opened it quickly and put it in my Winter accessories drawer. By the time I wanted to use it, I realized it was fake and had a bogus Fendi tag. Shame on me! I am a shopaholic, and I buy many things from different websites. I've been scammed in other Platforms, but this one the only way will be to dispute the charge with PayPal. BE AWARE!

Their quality control is a total and utter joke, especially if you buy something new with tags, they will try to desperately find a flaw because as usual Vestiaire only hires incompetent idiots who can't authenticate, yet they have to meet the quota of rejections, so new with tags are their target, really, a small scratch that you can't see with the bare eye on the BACK of zipper tap is apparently reason enough for rejection, the dress was bought like that. STAY AWAY FROM THE SCAMMERS, the poor idiots couldn't authenticate if their life depended on it, so at random they will try to find flaws to justify their miserable existence, I guess they are so stupid that they couldn't find another job, not even flipping burgers, because for that you need to have SOME qualification. Almost as if they only employ people who are too stupid to chew gum and walk at the same time... Oh and customer service, forget about it, they lie to you and never reply. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ITEMS! Use eBay or any other selling platform, but do not this scam site!

I just bought a bag from Vestiaire collective and it came not as described. I tried reaching out to customer service on their website 3 times and got no response, I also sent two emails and got no response. I am very disappointed and won't be buying from Vestiaire ever again!

"I purchased a Burberry Coat with reference number 37579226 on November 29th. The picture of the item showed a beautiful clear blue color. However, when I received the item, it was nearly black and not the same as what was shown in the pictures. I returned the item because it did not match the description, but they refused the return. To my surprise, they have now put the ad up under my name with no option to change the price, using the same misleading photos. They did not seek my permission to do so, yet they are selling the item with a commission included. To make matters worse, they are now sending me emails suggesting that the item is too expensive and recommending that I drop the price by $100. This is a clear indication of their dishonesty. They misled me the first time by selling me an item that was too expensive and now they are trying to scam potential buyers. Beware of this site!"

Sold an item on Vestaire, posted it the next day with DHL label provided by Vestaire. This was a Direct Shipping sale, so I took several photos and a video before posting the item. DHL delivered the item to the buyer, yet the scammer buyer is claiming not received and stating that the DHL tracking is fake and then sending me abusive messages. I have been in touch with DHL who have provided photographic evidence of the item being delivered. I am now waiting for Vestaire to deal with the issue and pay me for my sale. Sellers be careful as the Direct Shipping to buyers has opened up lots of scams. Complete Direct Shipping Nightmare!!!!

Do not expect your item to arrive. I placed an order on Vestiaire Collective in early December for Christmas, but the seller shipped the item without providing the necessary code to open the designated locker. Despite the steep shipping fees of 10-15 euros for domestic shipments, the site failed to deliver a basic service. When I tried to address the issue with both the seller and Vestiaire, they played the blame game, leaving me stranded without the correct codes to contact the shipping company. Despite my efforts to reach customer service daily for a week, there was no resolution. The item was eventually returned to the seller due to the incompetence of Vestiaire, and there was no apology or plan of action to prevent such mishaps in the future. Their repeated response of waiting to hear from the shipping company was utterly inadequate. A week of no follow-up and an inability to provide pickup information make this a truly terrible experience.

Ein Stern ist noch zu viel. Katastrophaler Kundenservice.

Laughable, look at the reviews, almost every one of the negative reviews gives examples, the positive ones offer superlative platitudes and praise things that are not due to Vestiaire, how soon a seller sends, the bots work overtime, why don't they invest the money their shills cost into people who know what they are doing, as their customer support and "authentication team" is clearly totally untrained and incompetent. Total scam

The quality control can be a nightmare! I ordered used chanel sneakers and the seller tried to hide some heavy scratches on the leather. When the shoes arrived I was shocked to see that there were way more heavy scratches than shown by the seller's pictures. The seller described the shoes condition as "very good" and didn't mention the scratches at all! Surprisingly, they passed the quality control. I then send the chat support photo evidence of the scratches and that there is an obvious deviation from the item description. After I returned the shoes the second quality control rejected my refund because they claimed that the item is as described! Then they relisted the shoes. I decided to get the shoes back and get them repaired. However, the returned the shoes to my other address in another country despite the fact that the initial order was send to Germany! The chat support is unwilling to offer me a compensation for my time and money loss. Besides that, the chat support is usually a nightmare: you have to wait days or hours for a single reply. There is no consistent chat, rather like emails you get within days or hours. Incredibly bad support and quality control! I'm suprised to see that this is even legally possible!!!

I would have liked to give no Star to this review, which unfortunately was not possible. I ordered 200€ sunglasses over the platform that arrived with a high delay because tracking numbers changed and the article was repacked and resent multiple times. When the article reached me (after already being in touch with the customer support) it was completely destroyed and I contacted the support with the multiple tracking numbers to get a refund. The glasses are scratched, completely out of shape and the Etui looks like a car drove over it. The article had clearly been repacked after being destroyed and sent to me, as also the multiple tracking numbers and the long delay show. Following the requiries of the damage report I handed in all the documents (including a handwritten declaration with dates and all tracking numbers) and multiple pictures proving how I received the article. The customer support was absolutely unfair trying to put the blame on the delivery service. In the end they accused me of not following their shipping policies for whatever reason even though I didn't sent or return an article... The case was handled by different support people creating confusion and feeling absolutely not understood or valued as a customer. They now leave me with broken sunglasses and a 200€ damage. The worst part of all is that the customer support sent me pictures how their employee wrapped my article and the pictures CLEARLY show that the article is completely damaged! Still they don't cover the damage sending me standardized emails which is beyond unprofessional and embarassing...

Horrible negligent customer service. I bought a bag that was a fake with clear evidence and they did not allow a return. I unwittingly paid a 209 custom fee. None of it returned. They automatically delisted it and did not allow me to touch the resale price and will take another commission when it sells. The worst resale buying experience I’ve ever had.

Do not sell with this "company" previously I had people damaging items and then claiming it is not as described, if you buy a UK 8 it doesn't fit the same as a US 8, I also give measurements, well, a US 8 is a UK 12, totally different sizing, so if large size squeezes into a too small size, yes, there will be damage! Latest is a pair of shoes, I mentioned there are small signs of wear, which you would expect if you buy used shoes, then had countless pictures, including the insoles that showed the small signs of wear. Guess what, the experts there decided that they have small signs of wear, yes, they were mentioned and pictured, is their quality control legally blind or certifiably stupid? I'm done with the crooks, less stress to gift items or sell them on eBay, I am not there to have stress and make money for a company that is incredibly incompetent and only seems to employ people who possibly need help to find their own bottoms! eBay, everything is forgiven, Vestiaire hopefully goes bust

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I purchased a purse as a Christmas Present for my wife. When the purse arrived it has a VERY STRONG chemical odor. Strong enough that when my wife got home from work she asked me what the smell was as soon as she walked in the house. I called within minutes of receiving the item and let them know that the purse had a strong chemical odor. The told me to send the purse back. ONCE I SENT THE PURSE BACK THEY ONLY SAID THAT THEY WOULD RELIST THE ITEM FOR ME, WHICH MEANS THAT THEY ARE OK WITH THE NEXT PERSON RECIEVING A STINKY ITEM. THIS MIGHT BE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. THEY ALSO REFUSED TO LET ME SPEAK TO A MANAGER. edit: Also the seller was listed as an expert seller which by their terms gives me 14 days to return and it was returned within minutes of being received. They also list odor as unacceptable on an item classified as "Very Good Condition" and wont honor that either. SO SAD

The worst service possible! 20% of the price represents VC inspection fees to receive a handbag that doesn't match the photos and description in the listing (food stuck to the bottom, various stains and discoloration, broken leather attachments). Bag returned with photo evidence and a detailed list of all undisclosed defects. Return denied, and it's being resold on my account with fees! 20%? On what grounds? The fees of a quality intermediary not doing its job or trying to scam consumers? It's scandalous!

People , should listen very carefully what I am going to say. This site is not good . They sell old not good quality merchandise, not authentic too . I bought 2 days ago a bag from them , not authentic . When I open a package just came , the handle on the bag was broken . On picture they show perfect bag. Description was very “good quality “, when I tried to communicate with them , they don’t know anything , and I can’t return , I just bought yesterday .All situation reminds me of movie , when couple bought a beautiful house on the surface , and as minutes moved in , everything start to fall apart , they understood , they bought a house from a crocks . This is what Vestiaire collective all about . My advice don’t buy anything from them . They nothing but a fraud .

They are so slow to respond and help with expensive purchases, bought a rolex and paid for them to authenticate it and check reference number, serial number and show a picture of the movement. They did nothing of what i asked, thats unacceptable when im spending 3,5k with them. Their site allows sellers to lie about their watch diameter and face no reprecautions. The watch i bought was listed as an explorer but when i went and got it checked it was a redialed airking. The watch got through their supposed "professional supervision" without them noting or checking that the watch is not damaged or waterproof and i receive a watch that has condensation on the crystal. Currently i have been trying to get them to send me a return label but im not hearing anything from them other than getting a copy and paste generic "We know waiting can be frustrating, but we are busy and is trying hard to get back to you". I recommend not buying watches from this site

Do NOT use Vestiaire Collective. I have bought 3 items and sold 2 and every single transaction was a headache and it was all caused by VC. The app is complete trash, full of bugs and glitchy af. I received plenty of offers on my items but the VC app never sent notifications to me to alert me to them, even though my notifications were turned on. VC never included my house number in my address, no matter how many times I updated it. Every time I ordered something my package did not contain my house number in my address and would be sent back or I had to spend hours on the phone with shipping companies to fix it. After sending an item that had been sold within 3 days of the sale (a 5 day period is given before it's cancelled). After I shipped it, VC cancelled the sale even though it also showed it had been sent successfully. It took 1.5 months of long hours on the chat and with the buyer to finally get paid. I ordered another item and again the shipping address did not contain the house number even though I corrected it over and over again. I paid extra for a home delivery and ended up having to spend hours on the phone again with the shipping company to re-route it to a packet shop for pickup. I requested to have a refund for the extra shipping costs I paid for a home delivery--the LEAST VC could do--and the customer service repeatedly said they were sorry and understanding of my frustration but offered no solutions or help. They didn't even offer a solution to fix the ongoing house number missing from my address. So I have had enough -- I'm deleting this app and never purchasing anything on it ever again and I will make sure to spread the word that they are not worth any other person's time or money. There are other great secondhand platforms out there that actually work, have decent customer service, and user-friendly platforms... so BYE!

I was a very satisfied Tradesy customer. I had a small transferable credit which rolled over to Vestiaire. I find their site incredibly laborious to navigate, and their platform does not store my sizes or preferences regardless of how many times I 'save' things. Customer service is a joke. Further, I have several new high end items for sale, which they keep trying to get me to lower to prices that are lower than poor quality one would expect at Target. I'm through with this terrible sham of a company. I highly recommend Mercari. They're from Palo Alto, CA, have excellent fast customer service, great buyers, easy to list, reasonable fees, and fast bank transfers. They aren't necessarily a platform for high end Gucci bags (for example), but I have sold a variety of items ranging from my collections of Alessi (Italian) coffee sets, to my fencing foils, vintage Armani hats, and beautiful vintage collection of baby clothes from the 40's. I love Mercari. Bye Bye Vestiaire....terrible site....pompous name ...and I'm passing up on my silly little $32 credit from Tradesy days just to rid myself of the nightmare experience.

I'm not sure how they can still be in business, the customer support is not there, as a seller, you are totally lost, they do what they want, pictures don't upload, the website lists it as another item or brand, despite the fact that you listed it as the right brand. I'm not sure there are people on the other end, their authentication service is ridiculous and only there to make money, I listed twice items and showed all the flaws clearly and also mentioned them, they rejected despite those flaws and didn't even ask the buyer, who then messaged me, we (with great difficulty) communicated that I would list on eBay and they ended up buying this way. I take pictures of all items I sell, as some buyers switch the items, claim they got something else and you get something totally worthless back, Vestiaire just doesn't seem to care.
