AVOID - AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE I bought a Gucci polo shirt for 210GBP "in perfect condition". It arrived with permanent fruit stains on the front. Vestiaire refused to cancel the sale and said it was "true to description". A total rip off. AVOID.

Misleading Discounts & Unfair Return Policy – Avoid! I had a very disappointing experience with Vestiaire Collective. They advertise discounts (e.g., 15% off) without clearly stating that there’s a cap (£40 max), which is extremely misleading. You only find out after going through the checkout process, wasting your time. Additionally, their return policy is unfair—they only allow returns for items bought from “professional sellers.” If you buy from an individual, you’re stuck with the item, even if it’s not as described. I received something that looked noticeably different from the listing, but because it wasn’t from a “professional seller,” I had no option to return it. Between their deceptive promotions and restrictive return policies, I would strongly advise against using Vestiaire Collective unless you’re willing to take the risk of being misled and stuck with an item that isn’t what you expected.

I got scammed. Purchased a bag and when it arrived I opened it and it was a McDonald’s bag stuffed with rubbish🤦‍♀️. I am so upset because it was a blatant scammer from overseas. I have purchased at least 15 items previously, high end and this experience has left me wounded and angry

Absolutely ridiculous company! I sold a watch which was lost by their courier and I was never compensated. And now I have a bag that was returned by the buyer - even though it was in good condition and no faults at all - and 5 weeks later I have still not received the bag back! Dont deal with them - its an absolute nightmare!!

My first buy recently from VC was a plain disappointment . I bought an LV clutch bag described as “very good condition”. When I received the bag, I realised that its leather strap was missing. The absence of the strap was not mentioned in the description. It was obviously VC fault. I sent the bag back to be examined by their “experts” according to their consultation. The “ experts” of VC found that the bag with the missing part matched the description (!!!) and relisted it to be sold. No way! I asked the bag back to me. One star is too much for VC.

I bought a skirt that was listed by the seller as "Never Worn". Under Vestiaire Collective's description of Never Worn, the item is almos like new. When I received the skirt it was damaged, the fabric with white spots throughout, a tear on the inside waist seam, wrinkled and an absolute mess. VC sent me a label for return after posting the photos of it and they refused my Refund request, have not been forthcoming at all and flat out claim the seller's photos were compliant, refusing to admit that the Never Worn Condition was anything but compliant. Very disappointing experience, they cahrge a fortune for vetting the items and this is what you might get, someone in a bad mood deciding to refuse you a refund on an item that is not complying with their seller guidelines. Horrible. Beware. Never ever again buying from VC.

When this company was Tradesy it was wonderful. When it change to Vestiaire I ordered and returned shoes. Affirm paid for the shoes. I had a credit over $300.00. I tried to order something else and they refused my refund. I will never do business with them ever.

All items purchased misrepresented. Jackets listed as leather were cloth. Another jacket listed as mens small was womans petit. Their quality control is a joke. Do not buy from this site

We brought 2 pairs of shoes. They both came perfectly packaged. Everything was simple and straightforward. I will definitely be ordering from there. The trick it to only buy new or new with tags. Love it so far!

If I could give them zero star, I would. I sold an authentic LV wallet and when it made it to their warehouse they rejected my item saying it didn’t meet to their standards for the engravings/metallic parts/fasteners and they couldn’t even be more specific about it! The best is yet to come, I had to pay $15 just to have them ship it back to me otherwise they would destroy the item if it wasn’t claimed within 6 months! After doing so, the item was authenticated through real authentication and I sent the info over to them and they still denied my claim. I was requesting my $15 back since I was at no fault and they couldn’t own up to their mistake.

According to Vestiaire's own terms and conditions, if there is an alteration, you have to mention it. So I changed something with the closure and mentioned it: "closes with hook and eye but I have removed the eye and replaced it with a thread sling for greater comfort, should you prefer the eye, it is very easy to change back, but this way it is more secure and less irritating" Guess what, they then flag it that it is changed. Can't they read? Don't they care? Possibly a combination of having sub-par staff who is intellectually not capable to read or to check a description and doesn't even care about their own terms of service. What a bunch of jokers, any zoo has primates who could do a better job

They have a terrible policy and customer service. My item was delayed in shipping for days and I had to leave to travel. I told their customer support I would not be gone when the item arrived. When I came home, and opened it, the garment smelled like a urinal cake. I reported this and they would not help me as they allow only three days upon receipt to report problems. Do not recommend

Absolutely ABSURD! Not only can't I confirm my item availability, there is no popup, not on the webpage and not in the app (which is really the worst app ever) now they are flagging an item and claim that there are rhinestones missing, are they incapable of seeing that the stones are different colours, there are some gold and some clear to offset the floral design, they are not missing they are clear rhinestones.... How nice of Vestiaire to employ people for "checking" - are they allowed to bring their blind dogs?

When will they sort out their IT? They spam you to death to confirm the availability of your items or they will delist them, you log in, no pop-up, no way to confirm item availability, I tried on 3 different browsers, I tried on their app (which is the worst app on the web, hands down) I emailed them, I get a copy and paste total nonsense reply, there is no customer service, nothing. And their authentication is a joke, authentic items can't be confirmed, items that are not authentic often are confirmed as authentic. It's a joke. Their chat service, you might as well talk to a badly trained bot, copy and paste replies, no interest, no real answers. I'm back to eBay

I’d be very wary of this company and do your research! What happened to me recently… I bought a handbag and spent several hundreds of pounds on it. I paid for an authentication and thorough report. The report came back saying the bag was ‘not as described’ it appears the seller had failed to show a picture of some wear to the handles. There was one small picture showing some wear to the handles. A notification showed I had three days to make a decision. I could either accept the bag as it was or I could reject the bag and receive a refund. I tried to contact staff via the app. I got someone in French and asked if I could have someone in English. Nobody got back to me. They claim to have 24/7 support in English on the app. I waited many many hours and got nothing back despite messaging numerous times asking for help, and asking for additional pictures or advice. I didn’t want to lose the bag altogether, so I accepted, thinking I would have three days to make a decision and get some more pictures from quality control staff. After I accepted, I then got a reply from staff immediately on chat saying that as I have now accepted the negotiation, there is nothing I can do. I have to accept the bag. And the three days had gone as soon as I pressed accept. This was not clear and I didn’t get support when I asked for it. When I received the bag, it was in significantly worse condition that I expected. None of this was in the report I paid for from authentication and quality control staff. When I raised this, the company told me it was their policy that if I was to return, I would have to list the item for free on their website. So basically, I paid hundreds of pounds for a bag which didn’t look as advertised, got no support when I needed it. And instead of getting a refund. I have to then try and get someone else to buy the bag from me to make the money back! It’s a sham company with shocking, non existent ethical policies. I would not recommend them.

Used the APP since it started. I have bought some nice clothes - new. However, beware of their jewellery department. I’ve had items authenticated and sent to me, only to be rejected/questioned by the authentication team when reselling. I have had 4 shocking encounters with their authenticity team & exasperating customer service. First, I bought a 6600€ Van Cleef necklace, that was authenticated. When it arrived, it was in a terrible state. a seller took an earring, bought a separate chain from Van Cleef and had a jeweller fuse them together. The certificate code matched a chain and not the product code of the item as sold by Van Cleef. This was not picked up by Vestiaire. The clover pendant was out of shape and I had a real issue getting my money back. I am a direct buyer from Van Cleef and they emailed confirming the item was a hybrid of two parts fraudulently passed of as a gold, diamond vintage Alhambra necklace. At the time of this terrible purchase I sold a couple of my items. One was my own perfect little Van Cleef Sweet Alhambra bracelet for 1450€ and unfortunately I mixed the shipping labels with all the stress. I had requested DHL only shipment labels, but I may as well have spoken to the wall. They sent UPS and I had to go to a small shop to send item. I’d already used the shipping label and instead of being rejected by the kiosk they sent it. So I had 2 items going to the same address. I contacted Vestiaire asking them to recall the delivery and ups required their authority as Vestiaire emailed me the shipment and paid for the label. I couldn’t just change an address. I needed Vestiaire to recall the parcel. UPS kindly put the delivery on hold and for 3 weeks I begged customer service to help me. They refused. Said it wasn’t their fault. What an attitude. Three weeks begging for help and I lost the item and my money. A seller in Italy got lucky and lied saying she hadn’t taken delivery when ups confirmed she signed for it. Lastly, and it will be the last purchase, I will only buy directly from Van Cleef in future, I bought a Perlee necklace with certification. There was no certification. Vestiaire still shipped it to me. The item was advertised with false photos and the condition is poor. Again, tough on me. Lastly I bought a Chaunet necklace brand new with certification and it turned up with a huge chip in the stone and a certificate in RED from a seconds department at Louis Vuitton head office. Sold to me and authenticated as brand new! So my relationship with Vestiaire jewellery buying is over. I’ve lost a lot of money and there is no care in their customer care department. This site won’t let me upload photos I have. Think I’ll make a YouTube video on this.

Total joke, somebody bought an expensive item and the address looked totally wrong, seems to go to a Hotel in Poland, so I googled the address and the name of the hotel, it doesn't exist, contacted customer service, after letting me wait for ages they told me to send because if I cancel I get bad feedback and if it can't be delivered they have a department who deals with that. Well, the problem is that I am shipping from the UK, so I will have to pay customs and return postage for my own item. I did point out that the address does not exist, same answer "Send or cancel, if you cancel your account will be negatively impacted!"

Dezaster. The authetification is like the weather...sometimes genuine , sometimes not. Totally genuine item turned out to be fake as it was raining today...probably tommorow will be genuine... And they ask 15 euro for sending back the item...I think this is just one way to take more money from people. TOTALLY SCAM
