“REALLY BAD service of authentification. I ordered a Dolce & Gabbana Dress which got authentified as ok (I paid for this service). It arrived in poor state with a non original zip. I tried to talk to them, they just refused my opinion and wouldnt refund me. They dont reply to my emails. BAD SERVICE-NO COMMUNICATION-NO RESOLUTION”

“Incredibly disappointing treatment of loyal customers. I have sold and bought on Vestiare for over 10 years but received a bag (pictures attached) described as very good condition which clearly doesn’t meet a single requirement for very good condition according to the company’s own guidelines. They are refusing to refund me and lying about how refunds work. I will be closing my account.”

“It is SO user unfriendly. I can’t change my password and lining up the information with what is actually on offer on the website does not work. I have twice had items refused sale for no clear reason. Both are genuine resale items. I have bought from them successfully twice, hence two stars and not one star. But I don’t understand the pricing. What does the figure in red represent? AND they insist you are Mrs which is not how most independent women style themselves. Maybe that’s a French thing…”

“I purchased two products from the Vestiare Colectiv website and was extremely disappointed. The items I received are cheap replicas, in very poor condition, with obvious stains and tears—issues that were not mentioned in the original description. This shows a complete lack of transparency. I tried to return the products, but was told that returns are no longer possible, and the customer service is unhelpful and uncooperative. I feel cheated and strongly advise everyone to be very careful before buying from this site, as you risk receiving counterfeit or severely damaged items with no option for return. I believe this site seriously damages consumer trust and harms the integrity of the brands it promotes.”

“My account was blocked immediately after it was created. I only intended to sell a pair of boots that were gifted to me but are too big for my size. I uploaded all the documents and photos requested, yet the account was still blocked under the excuse of “protection.” Protection from what, exactly? If you question the authenticity of the boots, why ask for so many documents in the first place? Also, the tone used in your emails is increasingly disappointing. Let me remind you: it’s the buyers and sellers who keep your platform running — not the other way around. Wasting my time like this is unacceptable. We’re not talking about a mansion sale — it’s just a pair of boots. In the end, eBay never disappoints!”

“Horrible! Do not use this site if you do not want to be left without things and without money. Very expensive and terrible service. I sold absolutely new and original Hermes sandals, parcel was delivered and left by the courier at the door and the courier took a photo and of course the parcel was stolen. Perhaps the buyer is lying saying that the parcel was stolen. But in the end they canceled the fact of delivery and refuse to pay me money. They say that they need to figure it out and it can take up to 30 days. Having no legal basis for not paying me money, because I fulfilled all the terms of the contract and the parcel was delivered. In the end, I have no money and no sandals. Disgusting! I will never use them again!”

“Unbelievably poor and fraudulent conduct. When you sell an item and provide original purchase receipts they deem the product to be fake and make you pay $25 to return your item. This has happened twice now when I have provided the original purchase receipts from both Prada and Dior. Both items were in the original condition, never used came with authenticity cards and purchase receipts. I am happily deleting the app today.”

“Appalling returns process. A Tissot watch was delayed and wouldn't arrive in time so I asked to cancel. This was not possible given they are private sellers - fair enough - but they offered to relist it for free instead which I agreed to. They then did not relist it and when I contacted them subsequently to check up on this they told me this was not possible as the time period had expired.”

“AVOID - AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE I bought a Gucci polo shirt for 210GBP "in perfect condition". It arrived with permanent fruit stains on the front. Vestiaire refused to cancel the sale and said it was "true to description". A total rip off. AVOID.”

“Misleading Discounts & Unfair Return Policy – Avoid! I had a very disappointing experience with Vestiaire Collective. They advertise discounts (e.g., 15% off) without clearly stating that there’s a cap (£40 max), which is extremely misleading. You only find out after going through the checkout process, wasting your time. Additionally, their return policy is unfair—they only allow returns for items bought from “professional sellers.” If you buy from an individual, you’re stuck with the item, even if it’s not as described. I received something that looked noticeably different from the listing, but because it wasn’t from a “professional seller,” I had no option to return it. Between their deceptive promotions and restrictive return policies, I would strongly advise against using Vestiaire Collective unless you’re willing to take the risk of being misled and stuck with an item that isn’t what you expected.”

“Absolutely ridiculous company! I sold a watch which was lost by their courier and I was never compensated. And now I have a bag that was returned by the buyer - even though it was in good condition and no faults at all - and 5 weeks later I have still not received the bag back! Dont deal with them - its an absolute nightmare!!”

“My first buy recently from VC was a plain disappointment . I bought an LV clutch bag described as “very good condition”. When I received the bag, I realised that its leather strap was missing. The absence of the strap was not mentioned in the description. It was obviously VC fault. I sent the bag back to be examined by their “experts” according to their consultation. The “ experts” of VC found that the bag with the missing part matched the description (!!!) and relisted it to be sold. No way! I asked the bag back to me. One star is too much for VC.”

“I bought a skirt that was listed by the seller as "Never Worn". Under Vestiaire Collective's description of Never Worn, the item is almos like new. When I received the skirt it was damaged, the fabric with white spots throughout, a tear on the inside waist seam, wrinkled and an absolute mess. VC sent me a label for return after posting the photos of it and they refused my Refund request, have not been forthcoming at all and flat out claim the seller's photos were compliant, refusing to admit that the Never Worn Condition was anything but compliant. Very disappointing experience, they cahrge a fortune for vetting the items and this is what you might get, someone in a bad mood deciding to refuse you a refund on an item that is not complying with their seller guidelines. Horrible. Beware. Never ever again buying from VC.”

“When this company was Tradesy it was wonderful. When it change to Vestiaire I ordered and returned shoes. Affirm paid for the shoes. I had a credit over $300.00. I tried to order something else and they refused my refund. I will never do business with them ever.”

“We brought 2 pairs of shoes. They both came perfectly packaged. Everything was simple and straightforward. I will definitely be ordering from there. The trick it to only buy new or new with tags. Love it so far!”

“If I could give them zero star, I would. I sold an authentic LV wallet and when it made it to their warehouse they rejected my item saying it didn’t meet to their standards for the engravings/metallic parts/fasteners and they couldn’t even be more specific about it! The best is yet to come, I had to pay $15 just to have them ship it back to me otherwise they would destroy the item if it wasn’t claimed within 6 months! After doing so, the item was authenticated through real authentication and I sent the info over to them and they still denied my claim. I was requesting my $15 back since I was at no fault and they couldn’t own up to their mistake.”

“According to Vestiaire's own terms and conditions, if there is an alteration, you have to mention it. So I changed something with the closure and mentioned it: "closes with hook and eye but I have removed the eye and replaced it with a thread sling for greater comfort, should you prefer the eye, it is very easy to change back, but this way it is more secure and less irritating" Guess what, they then flag it that it is changed. Can't they read? Don't they care? Possibly a combination of having sub-par staff who is intellectually not capable to read or to check a description and doesn't even care about their own terms of service. What a bunch of jokers, any zoo has primates who could do a better job”
