“They charged us a €50 cleaning fee because we drove with our dog on a mat. They called us dirty and said they had to biologically clean the car. A standard vacuum could clean the car. They were mean, rude, and shady. Don’t trust them.”

I told the guy I was there to get married and they gave me the most busted car ever.
I reserved a midsized car and they gave me a Nissan sunny that was beat up unlike any car rental I’ve seen. Like it rolled on its side. The key fob didn’t work and the door wouldn’t lock. I finally was able to exchange it a few days later when I had time and they got me for more money because they only had smaller or larger. They say 24 hour service and at the drop off date I waited 45 minutes for someone to show while I had a plane to catch. Go elsewhere.”
“If you are lucky and face no issues with your rental car, you can proceed. But if you face any issues, forget about any service. Our car didn't start in the middle of the trip and they didn't answer at all. Also road side assistance didn't pick up the phone.
We were lucky it happened in a city where there were garages around which could eventually come and fix the problem with me paying for it...

“July 2023: When I arrived at the airport, I had to find where the car hire company was. They have no office and they just dealt with you at the rear of the car park with no shade during a very hot summer in Marrakesh. At first, they presented a white Citroen car to me. They took a credit card advance payment. However, as I was about to sign the papers, they realised (apparently) the car insurance had run out. They later presented another car to me. Unfortunately, it was obvious this other car was in an extremely dirty state inside and out; it had numerous items of minor damage and a significant large dent to the driver's side. I was really shocked and disappointed to be presented with such a car, mainly because of the big damage. It was not what I had ordered online. I expected something similar, but this was far from similar. I asked if they had an alternative, but they said no, so take it or leave it.
I was also extremely disappointed with the service and attitude of the staff. Driving in Morocco with a damaged car is not safe at all and it does bring attention to the Police and Gendarmes. Had I accepted the car in such a state, I would have been told to pull over by the traffic police numerous times during my holiday with my family in Morocco.
To add insult to injury, when I came back to Britain, I struggled to get a refund from CarTrawler and took me months to finally settle this after complaining to the credit card company. Car Trawler are as bad so avoid them too. They're partners with easyjet.”
“Absolutely AVOID this company. Biggest scammers EVER!!!. They made it seem that the car rental is so cheap and that they will take your ins as soon as you get there they don't take your ins and MAKE you take theirs which is 600 for 2 weeks then they force you to buy toll plates and so much more. We refused to buy the toll plates because they said it's 25$ a day when really you pay less than $1 a day. We did pass some so when it took time to pay for them they did not let us and charges us 250$ for passing a few tolls. This company is absolutely Bs!!! They won't even hear you out on the phone and hang up on you and they charge your card without permission. I kept calling and they hangup. Worst scamming company I have ever dealt with in my life. Instead of 300 somewhere else we got in a hole of 1000. Avoid this company. You will absolutely regret it. Never ever ever again.”

I had a car booked in Orlando for January 12th, 20025 for which I paid in full in advance through expedia.ca
I had full insurance coverage from Allstate in Canada. I even called one day in advance to make sure my insurance is acceptable, at which point I was asked to bring a copy of my insurance declaration page on the day of car pickup.
Once arrived at their office I was told that they cannot accept collision and theft coverage from another country than USA.
I explained that my coverage explicitly says that I am fully covered for rented vehicles within entire North America, to no avail.
I even told them that my credit card covered collision and theft for rental cars but that was still refused. I ended up refusing to pick up the car from them as the amount for rental plus their own insurance would have more than doubled the cost.
Stay away! Do not touch this company even with a 10 ft pole!”

“Put a hold on your credit card before you drop your car off once rental is complete. They will charge you for anything they can wherever you are renting one of their vehicles, which they lease from a car dealership btw. They'll say all and any insurance you have is incorrect, which is all lies and they will not let you take rental without their 'insurance' even though you can wave the insurance. “STAY AWAY FROM addCar. I made reservation for a car rental through Economy Bookings and my rental voucher was sent to m to pick up my rental at 6457 Hazeltine National Dr, Suite 145, Orlando , 32822. I had already prepaid for my rental. I have State Farm Auto Insurance which covers insurance for rental car but I was told I had to pay $10 per day regardless that I have full rental coverage. I was also not allowed to use my Sun Pass. They wanted $19.99 per day to use their sun pass also I would have to pay tolls in addition to $19.99 per day. This company is a FRAUD and I will be complaining to the Florida State Attorney General, FCC, BBB.”
“The worse car rental ever! The company unlawfully took €100 from my deposit because I did not present the receipts for the Fetești bridge toll when returning the vehicle. I later obtained copies of the receipts and images of the vehicle from the toll station. However, this is still not enough—they now demand that the license plate number be on the receipt! Their attitude towards customers is terrible and ignorant. I don’t understand what they are trying to achieve. They refuse to refund my €100 despite providing all the proof of toll payment. Please avoid this Rent-a-Car company in Bucharest, Romania.”

“I had a dreadful experience with AddCar, booked through Priceline, that I need to share. I reserved a rental car and paid the full price upfront via Priceline. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, AddCar charged me an additional amount as a "deposit," claiming it would be refunded. Despite their assurances, I never received the refund. They falsely told me they released the deposit, but after my bank investigated, it turned out they had charged me for an "all-inclusive package" without my consent. This lack of transparency and honesty is unacceptable. AddCar's customer service was unhelpful and evasive throughout the process. I strongly advise against renting from them. Save yourself the trouble and choose a more reputable company!”
