“Interactive solar has never made contact. Banana solar made contact after a week then a guy called Oscar called me and we made an appointment for last Wednesday at 5.30 pm. He then sent a text message at 6.42 pm to say he was not coming. I had also made contact with another independent company last Monday who called within a day, took a copy of my electric bills and submitted his quote on Thursday of which I have agreed to proceed with. I understand things happen but for banana solar to send a Text message over an hour after he was due and didn’t even call me was enough to put me off. If these companies are your recommendations due to their reviews then I suggest you look at different companies. I am all about professional companies and not just the price of a product and being print with your initial contact and then your follow ups goes a long way with me. I feel very dissatisfied with the companies you recommended but NOT with you as you acted very promptly.”
Hi Michael,
Thanks for taking the time to talk on the phone with me. I'm still following up with the companies (who are on Xmas break) and will let you know when I hear more.

Hi Richard,
Thank you greatly for leaving us a review, as feedback like this is always appreciated, it only helps us improve. Sincere apologies for the experience you have had here whereby you only received one quoting company, we are currently working on expanding our network across Australia so it is hopeful we could provide you that service soon.
I reached out to the company that you were matched with, Sunrun Solar, who advised that they do service your area and got in contact with you but that you did not want to proceed with them. I have left you a voice mail and e-mail, please feel free to get in contact with me to discuss further as I would be very keen to help out and find a solution for you : )
Apologies again for any inconvenience or frustration caused,
- From Ned at SolarQuotes.com.au
Hi Mitchell - I understand Ned has been in touch and this has now been resolved - if there's any other issues, please email ned@solarquotes.com.au

“We specifically asked to have an installer visit our home to discuss solar power for our home. We were referred to Solaray Energy. The phoned us and said they wouldn’t visit our home but proceeded to email a quote. I explained that I wanted a visit to discuss our situation and they said they would visit after we accepted the quote and paid a deposit.
We will not use Solaray Energy.”
“Of the three compnies you suggested, only one Mondiaux, provided a quote after a visit to the house. The other two tried to provide quotes using the internet. In the end accepted a proposal from Solar Hub, who provided the best proposal.”
Hi Georges,
Thanks for taking the time to speak to me on the phone - as mentioned, because your roof is uniquely difficult to work with unfortunately our installers aren't able to assist with this job - I can recommend using the CEC "find an installer" tool here to find someone able to assist: https://www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au/consumers/buying-solar/find-an-installer

“Have had no word from quotes people.I could not trust any of them to do any work for me and therefore want to end all contact. Thanks John Donnellan.”
Hi John - my apologies - I have left you a voicemail to follow up and potentially source more installers - please contact me at ned@solarquotes.com.au :)

“The company you recommended, Smart Energy, is very bad engaging in scary sales tactics and not genuinely providing information for users to compare quotes.”
Hi Yuelan,
Thank you for your time over the phone and for providing further feedback about this issue. We were sincerely disappointed with the way you were treated by this particular solar installation company and would like to apologise.
We have currently stopped recommending this installer to our users and have asked them to put measures in place to ensure customers will not have a similar experience.
I'm glad you were able to find another installer to suit your solar installation needs.
Thank you again for your feedback and please have a happy new year.

“Probably not Solar Quotes fault, but shocking service from Adapt Energy. After sending house plans, have had to follow them up more than once & still no feedback or quote after over a week. Since received full, excellent detailed quote from reputable qualified installer within 2 hours of sending house plans etc. Returned calls of 2 others & still waiting for email/call back.
Sorry, but your system/processes are flawed.”
Hi Bob - thanks for your feedback and review - we have followed up with Adapt who have apologised for the delay in their quote, and have said they have since provided it to you, along with an offer for a discount.

“I requested for the 3 quotes, answered some questions, including my house plan and the next day got matched to one company, Captain Green Solar, just the one quote. They did not not have the details of the questionnaire I answered, or the house plans I attached. I emailed my house plans and they contacted a week later asking for the plan, not realising my email had ended up in spam. A few hours later I received a quote for an entry level solar system.
At this stage I realised I was fuming.
1. I was quoted a system without the sales rep knowing what I wanted. There was just that one option, nothing for me to be able to choose from.
2. Under Finns 7 solar mistakes is to not get multiple quotes. I got one
3. They got address wrong.
4. As the house is still not build yet, they need to rely on the house plans. Panels were placed where there was no roof.
5. While I did tell them the size of solar I wanted, they never asked me anything at all.
6. I was under the impression the solar guys will talk to me about how much power the panels will create and compare it how much I will be using etc. I guess that is up to me to figure that out. Perhaps this is an error on my part.
7. The idea that solar quotes will “take care” of my needs was like Donald Trump saying ”Mexico will pay for the wall” when in reality the wall isn’t completed, Pentagon paid for it and Mexico is stealing parts of it
On a positive note, it will be months before the house will be up and that allows me to find out what I need to know. But this whole experience feels like going to the movies with high expectations and leaving the theatre deflated, betrayed and knowing if you want things done right, you have to do it yourself.
One star for the fact the website is a treasure trove of information”
Hi Rizham,
Thanks for your feedback and your time on the phone with me. After speaking to Captain Green, it seems that human error on their end caused the quote to not come through properly. I understand, after speaking to you, that you have sourced a quote from elsewhere and are happy with that - so we're glad to hear you're still going solar.
- Ned
Hi Tom - thanks for taking the time to speak to me on the phone - as I understand the installer has now been in touch and you're satisfied with the result :)
- Ned
“Recommended Two unkonown companies, one without any reviews - and the other 65 kms away - whose head office workers did not even know where their branches are in Melbourne.
One company did not call at the time arranged and the other gave me a quote with solar panels placed under the shadows of an evaporative cooler and antenna!
Very very poor service. Not recommended.”
Hi Nadir - thanks for your feedback. I believe you have spoken to Ned, who has since referred you to alternative installers, and also explained why we'd refer a company with no reviews.
Kind regards,
- Jonathon
“Not one recommendation was interested in the job. I also sent an email to Ned with a couple of alternative sites on the block, never got a reply. It seems like the 'professional installers' are only interested in the easiest way to make a buck.”
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your feedback and for taking the time to speak to me on the phone - as discussed, the fact that you have an asbestos roof made it supremely difficult for us to find installers willing to work on it. I hope you understand.
- Ned
“Only got one quote - it didn't follow my request for microinverters, details of racks, etc. Asked for a revision by meail and by phoe - no result.
Didn't get a second quote from another firm. Pretty ordinary performance all round!”
Hi Kim,
My apologies - due to your location, we were only able to find one installer on our books who could quote you.
I have spoken with them re your review, and they have advised they will be contacting you to re-quote with microinverters.
Please let me know if you have any further questions by emailing me at jonathon@solarquotes.com.au

“Coffs Solar Energy are not good to deal with. Back stabbing and untruthful of other companies which I just don't tolerate. SAE fantastic , honest, transparent and reliable .”
Hi Carolyn,
We have taken note of your feedback from Coffs Solar Energy and will discuss with them - thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
