“Soo wish I'd done my homework before panic buying tickets from Viagogo. Where do I start, such a money grabbing company. If I 're sell the 4 tickets, I felt pressurised to buy, I will loose £123. ( 4 x V.A.T charge of 5.23 , 4 x charge of sellers fee of £25 × 4) I expect a company to take a fee for 're selling, but not the amounts Viagogo are charging. I have already Been charged £22 x 4 booking fees.I only went on their site as the usual ticket companies I use had all sold their tickets for the 2 venue choices we were able to get to.. The ticket price is double the face value of the other sites. Do not use this company.I believe that this company should offer a cancellation option if you cancel within 24hrs of buying the tickets!! My reason for cancelling was my friends thought price was too high, I panic bought (none of my friends had answered my earlier text asking if they wanted to pay that price)I didnt want to loose out as site said only 8 tickets were left & I didn't want to let anyone down. At the time my gut instinct was to walk away, wish I had gone with my instinct..a hard lesson to learn.
my moans are are of a similar thread to many of the other reviews on this site, it's all true..”
“This is the most frustrating experience I have ever had! I sold tickets but via Viagogo but they had not arrived 8 days before the concert. There is absolutely no way of notifying the company to ask for advice other than using the FAQ. There is no phone number of email that can be used UNTIL the deadline have passed! On the day I received the tickets from the box office I received a standard email notification (not possible to reply) where I had the option to select an option of 'will send within 24 hours'. I had the tickets on my and a printed UPS label and was on the way to dispatch them when I received a further email saying DO NOT SEND. THIS HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED £45 FOR A REPLACEMENT. If their customer service options allowed me to talk with someone and explain that I had the tickets and was sending them this would not have happened.
DO NOT use this company until they change their customer service approach.”
“I purchased a ticket to Metallica concert via viagogo but the ticket arrived with the previous owner name on it. I was not admitted to the venue and spent an hour in the queue to get another ticket. To remain fair - viaga returned the money very quickly and also gave a voucher for the same amount to spend on their website (which possibly will get me to more troubles)”
“why is there not an option for 0 stars? absolutely disgusting money making scam. will never use these again as they take pure advantage of people that want to buy tickets to see entertainment they love. fuming ive even brought off you in a panic to get tickets for someone who I have always wanted to see. yet you have already spoilt my experience by being money grabbing wankers.”
“This company is an absolute joke!!!
I was looking for tickets for Sevdaliza and it was still quite early so most tickets were selling for £13.50. I was looking for different providers all with the same prices until I got to Viagogo.. they first ask you how many tickets and when I put down 2 and proceeded it said "Hurry up only 2 tickets left!!
And the price was £50 PER TICKET! If you do your math is shows they charge you 370% above what the official tickets are selling for. Yes 370%
I decided to play around and see how far they can go and put down 8 tickets after which a message came up saying "Hurry up only 8 tickets left!"
Viagogo I would like you to F right off. 😊😊”
“Absoulutley disgusting company bought 2 tickets for £132 but couldn't make date so relisted tickets ,tickets were sold but for half the price of £77 which was better than nothing ...Viagogo emailed me stating that the money was in my bank £16.75 they deducted £53 for a sellers fee ..gutted that I didn't read reviews before using this shitty company ..please people do not use this company total rip off”
“Difficult to contact and get an adequate response from. After a couple of e-mails which did nothing to resolve my issue, I was obviously blocked. I won't ever be using them again.”
“Just recived my John bishop tickets..that cost a total of 104.00..fees etc..only to see that the face value of tickets is £12.50...OMG..how's is this company getting away with it....I can see why they are so attractive with the email..and delivery arrangements. .getting well paid for it! !!!!!!I .shame on you!!!!”
“ok I spent over £300 for 3 tickets for this Friday 13/10 Little Mix Concert in Birmingham, Money went from Credit Card early this year, credit card statement sent to Viagogo.... No order confirmation no response to Any emails, you can not get through on Telephone or web site as no order confirmation number has been sent and no one to help! How can you run a business like this, no one can get through, you take peoples money then don't even acknowledge receipt, not sure that this will create a reaction or do we have to go down legal route, you have my emails, my money and you make it impossible to be contacted! Absolutely disgusting Customer service!”
“DO NOT USE VIAGOGO
I purchased 2 tickets to a concert at £80 each - they then charged £21 per ticket booking fee and £5 per ticket delivery even though both coming to the same address so only actually one fee necessary. When the tickets arrived the FACE VALUE WAS £35 !!! that means they have charged more than double the price and £26 on top of that - absolute daylight robbery.”
“We were charged over a 100% mark up on the face value of the tickets, the fees are extortionate, what a rip off. There is no customer service only contact available is via email which is hardly surprising as they must get a high volume of complaints regarding over charging for fees. This is ironic as one of the reasons given for the booking fee is to provide customer service. My advice "Don't buy tickets from Vigogo" This is just a legalised ticket tout site.”
“I recently bought tickets for Roger Waters concert in 2018. Viagogo is offering the tickets even before the official date for sale. I mistakenly assumed I was late for buying them and I used this website. I ended up paying 100 £ extra on the top of the price advertised on the website. Also the webpage is misleading and tells you that less than 3% of tickets are available adding extra pressure (and a lie) when buying tickets. In this case, the tickets are not even on public sale yet and I am sure if I will get mine since the Viagogo is not an official ticket agent for the event.”
“If I could give it 0 I would. Complete scum. Money grabbers and liars. £400 on tickets that didn't come in time. Low life's and thieves. Scammers I'm absolutely disgusted. Rip people off from your crap website.”
“ViaGoGo is a complete rip-off and scam. Purchased 2 x tickets to full day (1200-1800) at Oktoberfest for Sunday Sept.17th. I received tickets less than a week before departure. I found out when arriving in Munich that the entry bracelets we received were actually only good from 1500-1800 (AFTER arriving at our tent with my wife!!). ViaGogo offered apologies and refund of €100 on a €490.00 purchase and I rejected demanding a full refund or ½ at minimum.
Gets worse and more insulting though. We did get into our tent at 1500 and met 2 other Americans who has also bought on ViaGoGo. We ended up being the only four people at a table set for 10 people and the tent organizers said all dinners had been pre-made based on 10 people per table and we were asked to pay for 3 additional dinners and desserts each!!!!!!
After fighting back and forth (easily a dozen email and web exchanges), ViaGoGo made final offer of €175 which I have no choice but to accept and as we were forced to pay by cash for the extra dinners they would not refund this additional money either.
STAY AWAY, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM!”
“ABOLUTE RIP OFF!!! They added £80 worth of booking fees and vat after paying for my tickets and seeing my confirmation! It was put in my confirmation emails an popped up after paying!!!!!! Ridiculous, and the customer service is awful, have not replied to any of my emails or concerns. DO NOT USE THEM!”
“I purchased tickets for Glorious Goodwood, not only was I charged way over the normal price but when I arrived at the event I was refused admission as the tickets were illegal, only Goodwood sell tickets for this event. I then had to purchase two more tickets, absolutely disgusting! When I contacted Viagogo they said I was out of time for a refund.”
“Absolute rip off, charged way over the price on the tickets when arrived, then a huge booking fee, totally misleading website , stay away, but once bitten twice shy, will never use again”
“massively overcharged booking fee, only realised after booking tickets, I complained and told I wouldn't be getting any refund at all. Will never use viagogo again for anything and strongly advise others to avoid , it's a rip off.”
“AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These people are fraudsters. When you are just about to click to purchase your ticket, they whack about £50 extra on per ticket. Then when you decide not to make the final purchase, they take your money anyway. They cannot be contacted as they make themselves invisible, there is no phone number and the only way you can reach them is to leave a message on their website. They then say sorry, we do not give refunds but we will buy the ticket back from you for another £50. Absolute scam. My bank is now dealing with them. No idea how they're still in business.”
