“AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Effectively, this is a LEGITIMISED SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Massively overpriced and utterly inflexible with no option for a refund if not happy. Unlike most reputable companies you may be used to, they offer no cooling off period (which, surprisingly, is legal for companies offering event tickets). It's nothing short of a legitimised scam with no customer protection, so check carefully before buying. Or better still, avoid all together and use a well-known reputable ticket provider or direct from venue.
As other reviewers say, their only 'solution' to a request for a refund is to offer you the 'opportunity' to sell the ticket and pass the scam on to some other unwitting victim (assuming they don't realise the true cost). They are a market place first and foremost (think Ebay if Ebay were to take well over 100% commission and refuse any resolution). Absolute cowboys. This should be illegal, but sadly doesn't seem to be. Avoid, avoid, avoid.”
“STAY AWAY !!!!
I bought and sold a set of tickets on their website last November and they wont pay me my money. So I have now paid for the tickets (€363) and another person has paid for the same tickets and they still won’t pay me. I have emailed them and called them over 20 times and they keep telling me my bank account details are wrong. I sent them my bank details via their “default method” via email and over the phone and still they say it is my fault because I am giving them incorrect bank details. One of their customer service agents told me “they are struggling to pay all their customers” so I presume they are using the “incorrect bank details” story on everyone !!! Ridicules company to deal with as the customer service person on the phone is always lovely but can do absolutely NOTHING to help the situation. There is no such person s a supervisor or manager, all you get is the same generic emails after every call and email.”
“If I could do zero stars, I would. This company is NOT a legit ticket seller. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!! I was robbed out of $1000 for a one day ticket to Ultra Music Festival. I was told I would receive the tickets by March 21st and not being comfortable waiting that long I requested to cancel my purchase and get my money back. They REFUSED and said I had to list them for sale on their site. I did that, then two days ago got an email that my tickets didn't sell and they'd be shipped to me. It's the night before I get on a plane to go to the festival and the tickets are not here.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!
STAY AWAY”
“SCAM... Provided proof and I kept doing job of support. I originally verified myself through email, providing confirmation of cell of tickets and support needed worthless screen prints that proves absolutely nothing but to take up my time so I could not see my game”
“Horrible company, horrible customer service. Didn't provide tickets in time for the concert. Kept offering suggestions that were not possible, as the event had passed. Kept saying "it will be forwarded to the relevant department," and never was. I am still asking for a refund, and told him I would be telling any platform I could about my experience. Stay away and always use TICKETMASTER!!!”
“Save yourself some time and money by going directly to Ticketmaster! Viagogo does business in an extremely shady and unethical way. Before adding my personal experience at the bottom of this review, I took the liberty of offering up a few facts about the company below. I encourage you to take the time to read this before throwing your money out the window.
As of October 2020, the company had 26 legal and government actions filed against them by multiple countries. They also have class actions suits filed against them by countries (not just individuals). Their CEO was let go from StubHub in 2004, after which he started Viagogo, and has since encompassed quite the negative reputation:
In May 2018, BBC News reported that the UK Government's digital minister advised that consumers should not use Viagogo, one of the big four secondary ticket sites. Margot James said: “Don’t choose Viagogo - they are the worst”.
In August 2018, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority took Viagogo to the High Court for breaking the law; Baker did not issue any comment or statement. The company reached a resolution with the CMA in November 2018.
In January 2019, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said Eric Baker risked jail over failure to properly protect customers.
My story:
As you can see from the first picture, below, they do not show you the actual seat numbers they are selling you. It wasn't until I accepted the tickets and they were transferred to Ticketmaster that I found out they had sold me tickets quite a distance from the exact section that I had clicked on during the purchase. I've tried resolving it and received multiple robotic emails (images below), one of which makes absolutely no sense referring to my UK Ticketmaster account. I live in the US...don't have a UK account. I spoke with customer service to request an exchange of these bogus tickets (offering to pay more if I had to) for ones that I had originally tried to purchase. The woman kept insisting that they have a strict policy of no refunds because the third-party seller needs to be paid. That would make sense if it weren't for the fact that the last email I received, after being forced to resell my tickets (my only way out of this) states that I will not receive my money until 8 days after the event (screenshot also provided below).
In my defense, I am very fuzzy right now with COVID and a little off my game, but I am not dumb enough to just take them at their word.
Please be wary of this company. Their practices are helping them remain extremely profitable!”
“Total scam..paid for platinum level seats at Mexican tennis open and received the worst tickets in the stadium at the very top. We were promised to receive the tickets one day prior and got the wrong tickets 2 hours before leaving no time for alternate arrangements. Throughout the whole process they strung us along asking for more time and promising equal or better tickets until time was out. The literally never responded. Do not by tickets through this company and if you do, use a credit card and plan on disputing the charge and not making the event.”
“I PURCHASED 2 TICKETS FOR THIS MONTH…
I PURCHASED 2 TICKETS FOR THIS MONTH BUT DUE TO ILLNESS COULD NO LONGER GO SO I PUT THEM ON THEIR SITE TO RESELL AS THEY DO NOT REFUND, THEY GAVE ME CONFIRMATION OF MY TICKETS BUT DID NOT SEND THEM. WHEN THEY FOUND A BUYER FOR MY TICKETS THEY ASKED FOR ME TO SEND THEM I TOLD THEM TO LOOK AT MY ACCOUNT AND THEY WILL SEE I HAVNT RECEIVED THEM, THEY SAID IF ITS NOT SENT BY 1PM TODAY I HAVE TO PAY FOR NEW TICKETS FOR THE SELLERS THATS THE RESPONCE I GOT?? SO I HAVE LOST OVER £100 AND THEY THREATENED ME WITH TAKING ANOTHER £120?? IS THIS COMPANY A SCAM REALY????

“I paid£211 for UB40 concert in March for myself and my partner.I definitely booked sitting as the email said sitting. When the ticket arrived it stated STANDING and the price was for £49.50 each.
I made several phone calls and email and they insisted that it was for standing, even though I had proof of sitting. I would not booked standing as I had several physical health issues. They did not care. This sight is a bunch of THIEVES. At all cost please avoid buying from them as they will only take your money and not delivered as purchased.
They need to be stopped from selling anything.
I will put this on every review sights until they are stopped. I am a pensioner and £211 is a lot of money for me, but I have always wanted to see ub40 in concert and I am unable to use the tickets as its Standing.
The people on the phone speaks very poor English.
Please do not purchased any thing from them and stop them from ripping off other people PLEASE, PLEASE avoid them at all cost.”
“Avoid at all costs!
For me tickets bulk bought by this outfit and resold at more than 10x face value, meaning I couldnt access the desired seats. Have heard examples of fake tickets issued. This company needs to disappear!”
