“Took 3 years to get a refund after being palmed off time and time again with excuses, brought 3 tickets for my wife and daughters to see Pussycat Dolls originally for may 2019.
They should be closed down they truly are woeful, never ever again.”
“Do not trust this company! They took £60 out of my account when I was unable to upload the ticket in advance when I made it clear the tickets were not yet released. They cancelled the sale and charged me £60. I have tried to speak to various people to discuss this but keep being told managers will ring back and they never do. I have also emailed and received a generic email that does not relate to my query. Do not go with viagogo there are so many better websites out there to sell tickets on. The staff on the phone are so rude.”
“I wish I would read the reviews!
Avoid! The dodgiest web I've ever seen! I tried to sell 2 tickets for an exhibition in London, dated 27th November 2021. It says due to the corona situation it will take 21 days to process payment just to be sure that the event took place. Here we are, 6th January they still haven't paid me and when I asked for the payment they said I have to prove them that the event wasn't cancelled! Wouldn't the buyer tell them if there was any cancellation or problem? I have replied that how I'm supposed to prove? they replied: 'it can be any social network which shows that the event took place! How I'm supposed to find that? why they didn't say this at the first? They reply like a robot, same repetitive answers.”
“Viagogo is a scam!!! not a reliable company and web site. Avoid using it. I bought tickets for a concert in Mexico. I thought I was paying in Mexican pesos but was in US dollars!!! I paid exorbitant prices for 2 tickets. No refund policy. and if you want to resell tickets you get paid until 8 days after the event. i recommed to never never never deal with this trash company.
At his time they have no pay my money back. I am going to present a lawsuit against them. I will keep you posted.”
“Bunch of scam artists, selling fake/fraudulent tickets, if you have any issues which I can guarantee you will! Trying to get your money back will be hell! 2 months and countless emails/calls before giving up and getting my bank involved, the fact my banks fraud team new about Viagogo says it all really”
“Firstly, I was charged double the price of each actual ticket (£114) Two people who we had bought tickets for decided not to go so we tried to resell them but the system would not process any of it. We telephoned them multiple times to assist us but were unable to resolve the problem but they do not consider it to be their problem!
When you are able to resell the tickets, it is only for the actual price on the ticket, which was half what we paid initially. These people are making millions out of general, hardworking people! I do not understand how it can even be legal tbh as you are not allowed ticket touts outside venues so why are you allowed them on line????”
“Purchased tickets but turned out 25% of the advertised 'ticket price' was their booking fee. So it cost me £60 just in booking fees just to buy 2 tickets. The website pop-ups during purchased put huge pressure on to make the purchase fast. Then the policy is no refunds at all! Complete rip off. Disgusting customer service. Outrageous that this is allowed.”
“The date of my event was changed by 24 hours and I was never notified. This is the response I received from them (1 week later after several attempts to get a response)
"Unfortunately, we are not allowed to offer you a refund for this order. The email you have receive about the Date and Time was to be confirmed by the event organiser."
Will never Unfortunately, we are not allowed to offer you a refund for this order. The email you have receive about the Date and Time was to be confirmed by the event organiser."
I recommend avoiding this company at all costs and use any alternative that you can.”
“We bought tickets for a play on viagogo. We drove 6h back and forth. But the play wasn't.
They don't want to reimburse us now.
They ask us for proof there was no play and now they don't answer to us.
Please don't book with them or you will lose your money.”
“What a bunch or consists. Paid £500 for 2 tickets to go see il divo at the bonus arena in hull on 7 December. After numerous emails and phones asking where my tickets are. I received an email stating they where delivered today by ups at 8.05. We have cameras outside the house no one came. Tracking number invalid with ups. Scammers disgusting people. Contacted my bank to claim money back and informed the police. I am going to make sure these scumbags are brought to justice. I will drag them through every newspapers going and make sure these disgusting human being are brought down scum”
“The CEO of Viagogo is a well known American con man called ERIC BAKER. He's made millions out of online fraud. The british gov are trying to put him behind bars.
BBC News reported that the UK Government's digital minister advised that consumers should not use Viagogo, one of the big four secondary ticket sites. Margot James said: “Don’t choose Viagogo - they are the worst”.[8]
In August 2018, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority took Viagogo to the High Court for breaking the law; Baker did not issue any comment or statement. The company reached a resolution with the CMA in November 2018.[9]
In January 2019, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said Eric Baker risked jail over failure to properly protect customers.”
“I wish I could give them a triple 0. Stay away. Tickets were refused at the venue as they were not actual bookings. Contacted viagogo for a full refund but not holding my breath judging by all the other reviews.”
“Do not purchase or buy any tickets from Viagogo they are a scamming organisation and con the general public, i have waited almost 2 years to get a full reimbursement for my concert tickets. They make any excuse in the book to prevent & avoid refunding you, please careful do yourself a favour and book with another company that actually has a basic level of customer service & human decency, everything that Viagogo does not have. OFCOM & Watchdog have been contacted to investigate my case in detail.”
“AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I stupidly didn’t check reviews before purchasing a ticket, I really wish I did. Overcharged ticket price by about 180%!!! They cannot guarantee that the E-Ticket is legitimate and will not refund despite it being advertised as a souvenir ticket and changed to E-Ticket after purchase. Customer service is awful, they don’t seem care about the customers and they protect the dodgy sellers!”
“Absolutely disgusting service from Viagogo. Fraudulent website with no intention of providing you with the tickets your have rightfully purchased. Two weeks after the event occurred and still no sign of our money back.”
“This is aweful. Got confirmation emails, event updates and everything then when I clicked "Accept Ticket" it transferred me to Ticket Master and got an error on the ticket.
Went to check Ticket Master, the same tickets I bought off Viagogo were 35 euro...where on Viagogo they were 108. Rip. Off. I wished I looked at reviews sooner.”
