“The date of my event was changed by 24 hours and I was never notified. This is the response I received from them (1 week later after several attempts to get a response)
"Unfortunately, we are not allowed to offer you a refund for this order. The email you have receive about the Date and Time was to be confirmed by the event organiser."
Will never Unfortunately, we are not allowed to offer you a refund for this order. The email you have receive about the Date and Time was to be confirmed by the event organiser."
I recommend avoiding this company at all costs and use any alternative that you can.”
“We bought tickets for a play on viagogo. We drove 6h back and forth. But the play wasn't.
They don't want to reimburse us now.
They ask us for proof there was no play and now they don't answer to us.
Please don't book with them or you will lose your money.”
“What a bunch or consists. Paid £500 for 2 tickets to go see il divo at the bonus arena in hull on 7 December. After numerous emails and phones asking where my tickets are. I received an email stating they where delivered today by ups at 8.05. We have cameras outside the house no one came. Tracking number invalid with ups. Scammers disgusting people. Contacted my bank to claim money back and informed the police. I am going to make sure these scumbags are brought to justice. I will drag them through every newspapers going and make sure these disgusting human being are brought down scum”
“The CEO of Viagogo is a well known American con man called ERIC BAKER. He's made millions out of online fraud. The british gov are trying to put him behind bars.
BBC News reported that the UK Government's digital minister advised that consumers should not use Viagogo, one of the big four secondary ticket sites. Margot James said: “Don’t choose Viagogo - they are the worst”.[8]
In August 2018, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority took Viagogo to the High Court for breaking the law; Baker did not issue any comment or statement. The company reached a resolution with the CMA in November 2018.[9]
In January 2019, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said Eric Baker risked jail over failure to properly protect customers.”
“I wish I could give them a triple 0. Stay away. Tickets were refused at the venue as they were not actual bookings. Contacted viagogo for a full refund but not holding my breath judging by all the other reviews.”
“Do not purchase or buy any tickets from Viagogo they are a scamming organisation and con the general public, i have waited almost 2 years to get a full reimbursement for my concert tickets. They make any excuse in the book to prevent & avoid refunding you, please careful do yourself a favour and book with another company that actually has a basic level of customer service & human decency, everything that Viagogo does not have. OFCOM & Watchdog have been contacted to investigate my case in detail.”
“AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I stupidly didn’t check reviews before purchasing a ticket, I really wish I did. Overcharged ticket price by about 180%!!! They cannot guarantee that the E-Ticket is legitimate and will not refund despite it being advertised as a souvenir ticket and changed to E-Ticket after purchase. Customer service is awful, they don’t seem care about the customers and they protect the dodgy sellers!”
“Absolutely disgusting service from Viagogo. Fraudulent website with no intention of providing you with the tickets your have rightfully purchased. Two weeks after the event occurred and still no sign of our money back.”
“This is aweful. Got confirmation emails, event updates and everything then when I clicked "Accept Ticket" it transferred me to Ticket Master and got an error on the ticket.
Went to check Ticket Master, the same tickets I bought off Viagogo were 35 euro...where on Viagogo they were 108. Rip. Off. I wished I looked at reviews sooner.”
“The worse ever company to buy tickets from. They have no integrity and only scam people from their hard earning money. You don't get the tickets you paid for and when you complain they come up with the worse lies and excuses ever like we tried to contact you to solve the problem but somebody phoned you 1 hour ago and promised you to solve the problem. Corrupt liars all of them. They should be banned and arrested and put in jail. The owners most problaly are sitting on fancy beaches and cruises spending all cash they scammed.”
“This company is nothing short of a scam. They rip people off left, right and centre. The sell tickets that are not even valid or honoured by the event.”
“These people are fraudsters and very stupid. When you try and complain and get a refund they completely just ignore you and reply with copy and paste general answer. Stay away from these Muppets.”
“Bought 2 tickets then after not receiving them logged on and they had cancelled with no explanation. They confirmed 3x that they had not taken payment but my statement showed they had.
Bought elsewhere for £70 less. Then started receiving emails about the event so I messaged to say they had cancelled on me and again confirmed they had not taken money.
Found a Fb page dedicated to helping Viagogo victims
Took advice from there
Asked Viagogo for my personal data, screenshot evidence that the venue would only accept tickets from official sellers.
Anyway just had another call now saying I am getting a full refund. Don't give up, keep messaging them.”
“Terrible experience. We bought the tickets 2 months before the match and got the tickets 6 hours before the match. We bought each ticket at 120 euros, and got tickets that actually cost 35 euros. NEVER AGAIN! A real nightmare!!!!!”
“If I could give this website a 0, or even a negative I would!! I bought tickets over 6 months before the concert, and they emailed me 2 days before the concert saying “we will be unable to provide your tickets, please pick a different one” because of this, I was upgraded from the upper level to pit. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to get my tickets. Then, after 2 days of emailing and calling them back and forth trying to understand why my tickets weren’t coming through, they assured me they had the tickets and I would get them. It wasn’t till an hour before I was supposed to leave for the concert that I got an e-mail saying I was issued a refund. I called them and I was met with rude service, being unhelpful and basically telling me it was “my problem now since they refunded me” (It’s been 2 days now and I still haven’t gotten my refund). So, because of viagogo, I thought I had tickets for 6 months, then I got false hope that I would be in the pit, then I was unable to go to my concert at all. PLEASE never use viagogo you will just be let down!!!”
