“Ticket scam - stay away!
I purchased 2 tickets for an art event by mistake at 3 x face value.
Tried to get a refund within minutes after purchase as I realised the fraudulent premium. Customer service could only offer me to ‘list’ the tickets at my own risk, no refund could be offered. All this despite the event tickets not even being issued, as the event date was weeks away from the purchase date.”
“DO NOT USE VIAGOGO EVER!!!! Bought tickets for Euro 2020 (now Euro 2021) in February 2020. Event was postponed due to the pandemic. There has been a lot of articles in the news saying that the organizer provided refunds due to pandemic, because of reduced capacity in stadiums and changes in venues. I tried to get an answer from viagogo multiple times, but never got a real answer from them. There is a section in viagogo related to your purchase tickets and a date that says that they should send your tickets no later than a specific day. That day kept being postponed, multiple times, without any warning. I tried to message them multiple times and call their phone number. Never got a chance to talk to an agent as their line is too "busy" and they hang up on you. After multiple attempts, I asked to bring my case to a supervisor/manager, never got a reply from them, but received a notification that they will refund my tickets. Lots of time wasted in this whole process without having any real or decent customer service. AVOID AVOID AVOID, or you may never get your tickets/money back.”
“Wish I could give zero stars. I've been totally mislead by Viagogo. I purchased tickets for Mario Biondi for next Aprul. After I research the face value of the tickets are £32.50. I looked at Viagogo because I used before they were slightly more expensive at £79 for 2 tickets plus £2 each ticket for be email delivery. I thought that's ok I needed a trusted site. But how wrong I was. When I checked out by PayPal it still said £83. It was only when I checked the confirmation email its said £163.55. Ive contacted Viagogo and they said this is the breakdown and will not refund the tickets

“I bought tickets for Oktoberfest 2021 in Munich. The event organizer announced the event cancellation on May 3rd, 2021 It is now May 13, I have called and emailed 8 times asking for a refund and provided proof from the event organizer that Oktoberfest 2021 is canceled. They are refusing to refund me. I also never received tickets since the event is canceled btw. Viagogo does not follow their posted refund policy and does everything possible to keep your money. Find another ticket broker - Viagogo is not to be trusted”
“This service provides communications to you that indicate it is sourcing best available seats for the exorbitant prices they charge. On confirmation they state you will receive your tickets by a specific date. Tickets then are provided at 24 hours prior to the event - irrespective of continuous follow ups when they’ve missed the due date two weeks prior - and you will be issued with back row and no recourse but miss the show! (Resale under 24 hours unlikely)
It is underhanded and it’s only purpose is to make money on fees. Do not support this service as it preys on vulnerable consumers.”

I bought tickets for an In This Moment concert which was set for may 2020 and it has been MONTHS before they processed a refund, apparently they do not have the technology to do this like the rest of the technological world. And now to get a refund I have to either have PayPal - which i don't - or save my banking information on their site? If they can't process a refund why on EARTH would I give them my banking information to SAVE??? I tried calling and can't reach a human - my order ID is no longer valid and they just hung up when I put it in. I will never be using their services again and encourage others to do the same as they just want to keep your money and not help you at all.”

They also gave my wife the wrong date and as we cant make the new date they REFUSE a refund.

I did. i am so livid. the price said 74 each tic and i ended up paying $377 total for 2 tickets. i get the fees ect but they even say fees $3 ea. ya right. if you are reading this review please be careful. i called them and ya no help didnt want to refund me. i want to curse on here but for public reasons i wont. but yes pay the higher price somewhere else which will end up being less. i didnt use vivid seats and i lost. learning lesson. :( im so sad mad and feel violated.”
“I bought tickets for a concert in 2021. The main performer has died and all concerts have been cancelled. Viagogo keep telling me that I can't have my money back but I can sell the tickets on! Who is going to buy tickets for a concert that has been cancelled and that I don't physically have. If anyone is considering buy tickets from this company I would say don't!”

My story...Googled searched tickets for Tom Jones at haydock park June 2021 and Viagogo were an ad at the top of the results list. (They pay to do this)
I clicked on it and took me into a few details (not many) and I booked 4 tickets at £70 each in a presured sales process that had a booking timer on so didnt get chance to read reviews or Ts and Cs.
They added £2 per ticket for delivery and £3.50 admin charge totalled £291.50... again you are under pressure.. stupid me! I never do this!
Anyway I received the email confirmation that the tickets would be despatched a week before???
I notice the face value of the tickets was,£50 so I checked the reviews and was horrified to the experience of customers.
I emailed them and tried to cancel and get a refund (as per bank advice) and they replied their policy is no refunds as they just list event tickets as a 3rd party and have to protect the seller of these tickets... the only option was to relist them.. which would be for another unsuspecting buyer like me to go through this. Not a chance.
I checked and these tickets are not even available yet! So they are just scammers.
My bank is putting the CC payment in dispute so I get a refund.
But PLEASE BE AWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY ANY EVENT TICKETS
I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH USE A REPUTABLE ONLINE TICKET SELLER ONLY.
This will go on every review site I know and I've reported to google ads. They have been suspended ar least once already!”
“If I could give no stars I would. My event was started as cancelled on the official Jeff Lynne website, but Viagogo said the event was only postponed for the first 2 months so no refund due. When they finally said the event was cancelled, I asked 7 times, yes 7 times for a refund of my £440 and was ignored every time. I eventually got a full refund only after asking my bank. Viagogo still have not offered payment. AVOID!!”
“I bought tickets for the Military Tattoo in Scotland. The event was cancelled. I requested a refund. They said it would take several months. I have contacted them three times and I keep getting a form letter that it will take several months. It has been 5 months and still no refund. They are a scam company. Do not buy anything from them. They do not stand behind their policy.”
