“My husband bought tickets for me as a present last Christmas. He paid £300. The tickets have arrived this week and their face value is £100. He’s phoned them, but they won’t give any refund of the £200 overcharge. Avoid this company. Criminals.”
“Accidentally bought double the amount of tickets I needed for a concert directly from the venues official website. Sold tickets on Viagogo & they refuse to give me the money as the buyer apparently claims they couldn’t gain entry. I don’t know who the buyer is, so whether that’s true or Viagogo have just kept the money, who knows. They also took an extra £40 from my account apparently as an inconvenience fee for the buyer. They claim they conducted a thorough investigation (told me this at 5pm on the day of the concert so can’t have been that thorough) but say due to security & GDPR they can’t so much as tell me the process of that investigation, ie. how they reached that decision.
Customer service follow-up was terrible.... can’t be contacted by phone, so had to resort to messaging through their website, whereby I received the same generic response to each of my messages.
What else am I supposed to do here?! £250 down & furious!
Not only the worst service I’ve received, but genuinely believe these people are criminals & don’t know how they can get away with it.”
“Viagogo charged almost 600 Pounds for two tickets of orignal price of 85 pounds. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!
They make people think that's how much it costs (somewhere deep hidden in links the state the original price but its not obvious to see), they push people into buying by putting pressure on them.
DO NOT BUY from viagogo!”
“My friend was scammed for £150 and has so far gained no compensation I will be encouraging him to contact the appropriate authorities and if he doesn’t I will”
“Terrible. Boughy a wireless ticket off a friend last minute, who got his ticket from viagogo. He said he got it from a trustworthy website but when I went along to the festival, all hyped-up and excited with my freinds, I wasn't let in and was brutally turned away as my ticket had been duplicated (it was fake). Only get tickets from the festival websites or other trusted ones!! I was let down and it was a traumatic experience. Be careful”
“Awful service as they promised a delivery on a certain date and did not deliver then refusing to give me a refund after a missed delivery!
Recycled around multiple useless customer service operators who say the same thing with no responsibility for what they say they will do.
Terrible terrible website and useless customer service.”
“Disgusting company. Paid nearly £300 for tickets to see Stevie Wonder for my Birthday, been waiting for years to see him. Tickets sent to the wrong address. I rang on 9th June, told them I had moved and was advised to update my account with the new address, which I did. They still sent them to my old one, which is now unoccupied so I can't get them. Rang to be told there was nothing they could do. Disgusting service, no refund, no new tickets despite it being THEIR error. DO NOT USE THEM!!!”
“One Star is to much for this site. Do not buy tickets , there are many hidden charges , Tickets can be found on many sites for half the cost. Tickets can be fake tickets, there customer support is non existent, Unhelpful and basically if they have your money you are not getting it back. They will even resell your tickets for way less than you paid and over charge the next person.. Take my advice do not enter this site or make any purchases you will be sorry..”
“I will never use this site again. I was charged 269 Euros for a pair of tickets to see Andre Rieu in Maastricht that had a face value of 59 Euros each. Nothing short of daylight robbery.”
“I brought a BTS ticket on 23 June form viagogo and then I re- sold out from viagogo . It turn out the ticket can’t access to the BTs concert due the organisers check the ID must match the name on the ticket . Which we all find out after 17 June . So as a second platform , like stubhub stop all the sale and chase back the ticket to the original seller .
As viagogo didn’t do anything , but charge me HK$2,100 for compensate to the 2 buyer And stop the payment of Sae to me . I ask them to get back the refund from the 1 st seller I purchase from viagogo . He said he can’t get me the refund cause I didn’t attend the concert. It’s unfair treat how can they protect the 1st seller and the 3 buyer, so I’m the really victim , I got nothing back but losing Hk$7,000 , it is ridiculous, viagogo refuse to chase back the money to me .”
“WARNING!
Stay Away from this fraudulent website.
Not only are their tickets extremely over priced with all kinds of hidden taxes and BS, they also make you enter in a credit card number just to sign up to see the tickets but then they will use your credit card without your authorization and claim you purchased tickets when you only wanted to look see what they have and how much they were.
Their customer service is non existent and all you will get a generic emails about your complain.
I've written to google already along with hundreds of other users that I came across on a forum and asked to have these guys removed from showing up on top when searching for tickets.”
“I purchased 2 tickets in October 2018 for the Eagles at LIverpool Arena this Sunday 30th JUNE. After following the reviews for some time i was amazed that the tickets have arrived on time . I paid £605 .23 for the tickets , the actual price is £288 which I am devasted about. On closer inspection the tickets do not have my name on them but some other random person. The whole occasion has been ruined before we even get there as I don’t know if the tickets are genuine (name of company on the tickets is Ticketmaster ) or whether someone else will be sitting in on our seats. I have tried ringing customer services to be told the system is down , realise it is a complete waste of time . It is appalling that these crooks are allowed to keep trading , if only I had been aware of their scams I might have been looking forward to Sunday night instead of feeling totally down and apprehensive about the whole thing ! The more people that spread the word the better and hopefully they will be put out of business .”
“**PLEASE, PLEASE READ THIS AND BE AWARE**
My wife has been a fan of Bon Jovi for many years, but had never had the opportunity to see them. So, on the first of November 2018 I booked tickets through Viagogo for their tour in June 2019. This is where the story begins.
I do know and appreciate that I have been at fault and I have should have checked the Viagogo website, but of course, we get so complacent about things and we think that everything and everybody is trustworthy. Unfortunately, this is never the case.
I paid the Princely sum of £254.96 two tickets on my credit card, which I thought, although quite pricey, was still within reason for such a high profile band such as Bon Jovi, who were possibly performing their last ever concert, (time will tell on that one).
Not once did I think to go to Viagogo’s website and check my account, being such a trusting person.
The concert came and went. Bon Jovi were excellent and the whole weekend was just lovely. It was only the next day when I had a look at the tickets that I noticed that the actual face value of the tickets, together, was much, much less than what I had been charged.
It was only then did I decide to go onto the website and check up on things. I immediately noticed that there were four seat numbers showing on the website, yet, clearly above that, it states that I purchased two tickets, not four.
The face value of each ticket was £45.00, plus a service charge of £6.10 equals £51.10. Multiply this by two gives a grand total of £102.20, not £254.96. So, it was quite obvious that I had been charged for four lots of tickets, and some other unbeknown charge, that doesn’t even show up on my account.
Obviously, it is far too late for me to try and do anything about this, and I except, with a heavy heart that I have been well and truly ripped off. But, the one reason that I write this email is to try and warn as many people as possible about Viagogo, and similar ticket selling companies, of the UNDERHAND, DISGUSTING, DESPICABLE, CHEATING, ROBBING AND LYING (the insults are endless btw) ways of these companies.
I pity the poor people that work for these companies, probably at minimum wage. Are they aware of their employers CHEATING way’s. And, if they are I hope that the employees and their employers can sleep at nights, knowing just how DISGUSTING they actually are as human beings.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure that you check everything correspondence wise, that you have with any of these companies, and deal with any discrepancies immediately, if you have unwittingly bought tickets from one of these CHEATING websites.
There is a website called fanfairalliance.org that you can go to that will give you options to avoiding these scam companies and there is also a lady called Claire Turnham who has had similar dealings with them and been ripped off by them, and she gives advice as to what to do should you be unfortunate enough to get ripped off.”
“Very quick to take your money but totally unhelpful when you have a problem.
Will never use them again and would advise anyone else against using them.”
“Avoid this company , no customer service backup if anything is not as it should be in fact the Viagogo representive put the phone down on the ticket master girl who was trying to help me will never engage in this company again”
“Appalling company tickets cost a fortune and then you don’t get the ones you buy for the concert and they only refund you in vouchers absolute rip off! Should be closed down ! Never again will I use - and they don’t post them even through they say they will! DONT USE THEM”
“Nothing put common thieves and liars. NEVER BUY OFF THIS SITE. They dont even care if you have a DISABLED person when they give you wrong tickets then tell you take them or sell them.”
“There is a reason this company is rated 1 star, honestly worst ticket sellers I have dealt with. Do not buy tickets from this company, they will take no accountability once they have your money.
My tickets arrived later that advertised by 3 days which ended up costing me way more in travel arrangements as I had to be home to sign for them and could not cancel my pre-arrangements. The ticket was not the same ticket as advertised, but they said it's an equivalent ticket so it does not matter. They lied about the face value of my ticket and refused to give me a refund. Customer service do not care and only give you scripted responses. Be warned tickets could arrive as late as on the day of the event and it may not be the same seating on the ticket you ordered, as long as they see it as equivalent they will not refund you. Never buying tickets from this company again and I will warn everyone I know about the bad experience I had with them.”
