“I hadn't realised how infamous Viagogo are but now I fully understand. For the past days I have been chasing tickets from Viagogo, phoning them increasingly regularly. The concert is planned to start in 28 hours time and no tickets.
It is clear to me that the culture of the company is one of lie, lie, lie. I do wonder if the agents actually understand how corrupt this business is. For example, I have had around 25 calls with the company, and on every occasion I have been urged to "stay on the line" to answer a customer survey regarding service quality. I have never had the opportunity to do so yet.
It is interesting to speculate how agents are remunerated - are they on commission, with bonuses for creative dissembling? I have to say one of the more plausible agents did suggest that despite the assertion that "calls may be monitored...…..", this is not the case.
It takes only a few minutes for customers to pen a review like this. I think that to do so is a valuable public service and intend to do so at my (considerable) leisure in the coming days and weeks.
I challenge anyone in Viagogo's senior management to contact me to discuss their shoddy business practices. As I said in my Trust Pilot review, you know how to contact me (depite claims to the contrary - check you outgoing emails). So do it, if you dare.”
“A dishonest company that will lie and cheat and even take money from your bank account illegal and when challenged will not reply. Avoid at all costs”
“It was hours before the event and still no tickets. So I called the support team and after a bunch of arguing, they eventually agreed to refund me. I immediately went and purchased tickets on Ticketmaster where my tickets were emailed to me automatically, which tells me that Viagogo was lying when they said the theatre hadn't released tickets yet. Its a total scam. I waited it out until a few hours before to realize that "wow, I actually am being scammed". Don't buy from this site, there is absolutely no guarantee and most likely you won't be getting your tickets.”
“Got tickets viagogo, viagogo emailed me to download the e-tickets so downloaded them got to the entrance after lining up for so long only to get turned away.
Called viagogo and they said I've Been scammed.
Viagogo said they was going to look into this and emailed straight away after phone call saying I'm going to get my refund and gave a £93 voucher
The tickets cost me £186 what am I going to do with that voucher?
We really wanted to see boys to men at the Apollo in Hammersmith on the 7/4/19
We took annual leave from work and also got childcare for our children.
I got these tickets viagogo for my wife's Christmas present and we are very unhappy, upset, sad and disappointed with this.
What I don't get viagogo sent me the email to download the e-tickets for us to take and they ain't even legit?
My ref number is 21208052.
My name is Rakesh Singh.
My number is 07946534345.
What is viagogo going to do to make us feel happy again as for us we hardly go out and we had to organise everything around this event only to be turned away.”
“Charge you three time over the real price. Release the tickets not earlier than a week before the event, very stressful. The tickets have someone else’s name on it. Beware!”
“Only rating one star because zero isn't an option. Had a terrible experience purchasing gig tickets. Spoke with team members four times on the phone the day before the gig despite booking tickets 4 weeks in advance. I was not once given a straight answer and all issues would be dealt with "soon" after asking for a specific timeline as i was due to set off on the 6 hour drive to the gig viagogo could still not give an accurate timeline for resolution. As a result of this asked for a refund to which the company told me this was not a service they offered. Gentlemen on the phone then went on to tell me I had already called several times and should not call again despite the fact my issue was not being resolved. Great effort viagogo...”
“Do not buy! I bought tickets, only to find out that they canceled them without finding replacements. By that time all the tickets were double the price.”
“Don’t use this con company.
Their ticket prices are double the price compared to any other seller.
They’re NOT selling tickets on behalf of the events but they sell on behalf of other sellers??????
I’ve bought tickets for a certain event who were more expensive because of the good seating. A few days before they event took place I’ve got an email from them stating that they relocated our seats!!!!!! Phoned them up, got nowhere. At the event we had the most horrible seats in the venue. Couldn’t see anything. Whilst the original tickets I’ve bought were completely different situated at ghe venue with much better view..
DON T USE THEM”
“WORST EXPERIENCE! Such a scam. No guaranteed delivery! Didn't get our tickets OR a refund!! And got hung up on twice by customer service who called us LIARS!!! BOOOOOOO viagogo is the worst company!”
“Not happy... called them multiple times for purchase made. They said they had to contact seller... NEVER AGAIN never got out tickets.. I better get a refund”
“The worst site to sell tickets, I bought 3 tickets for Barca vs Lyon from the official site, and when the time came for them to pay me, they said that the tickets are invalid, I send them all kind of proof, but they were keep saying that are invalid just not to pay me, I check with Barca official and they confirm that the tickets are valid, but Viagogo didn't want to pay, SCAMMERS!!!!”
“HORRENDOUS!
Issues with their site lead to a duplicate sale. Was told I could add a further ticket and jumped through hoops to do so. However, rather than using the extra ticket, they sold some one else's ad chared me for their ticket! I ended up basically giving my ticket to Viago for nothing. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, CROOKS!”
“Never use viagogo. I have bought 4 tickets to the Tudor Gheorghe show, but unfortunately I have paid 4 x times the price for the tickets and also the tickets are not usable. I have paid for fake tickets. The viagogo site sold me fake tickets and now they are refusing to refund me.”
