“I bought tickets for a concert in 2021. The main performer has died and all concerts have been cancelled. Viagogo keep telling me that I can't have my money back but I can sell the tickets on! Who is going to buy tickets for a concert that has been cancelled and that I don't physically have. If anyone is considering buy tickets from this company I would say don't!”
“I have had a very bad experience with Viagogo. I bought some tickets for a Festival and have just realised I have been charged double the face value. The premium charged is grossly unfair and unreasonable. They are refusing to refund me. I would steer well clear of this company.”
“0 stars!
PLEASE BE AWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
My story...Googled searched tickets for Tom Jones at haydock park June 2021 and Viagogo were an ad at the top of the results list. (They pay to do this)
I clicked on it and took me into a few details (not many) and I booked 4 tickets at £70 each in a presured sales process that had a booking timer on so didnt get chance to read reviews or Ts and Cs.
They added £2 per ticket for delivery and £3.50 admin charge totalled £291.50... again you are under pressure.. stupid me! I never do this!
Anyway I received the email confirmation that the tickets would be despatched a week before???
I notice the face value of the tickets was,£50 so I checked the reviews and was horrified to the experience of customers.
I emailed them and tried to cancel and get a refund (as per bank advice) and they replied their policy is no refunds as they just list event tickets as a 3rd party and have to protect the seller of these tickets... the only option was to relist them.. which would be for another unsuspecting buyer like me to go through this. Not a chance.
I checked and these tickets are not even available yet! So they are just scammers.
My bank is putting the CC payment in dispute so I get a refund.
But PLEASE BE AWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY ANY EVENT TICKETS
I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH USE A REPUTABLE ONLINE TICKET SELLER ONLY.
This will go on every review site I know and I've reported to google ads. They have been suspended ar least once already!”
“If I could give no stars I would. My event was started as cancelled on the official Jeff Lynne website, but Viagogo said the event was only postponed for the first 2 months so no refund due. When they finally said the event was cancelled, I asked 7 times, yes 7 times for a refund of my £440 and was ignored every time. I eventually got a full refund only after asking my bank. Viagogo still have not offered payment. AVOID!!”
“I bought tickets for the Military Tattoo in Scotland. The event was cancelled. I requested a refund. They said it would take several months. I have contacted them three times and I keep getting a form letter that it will take several months. It has been 5 months and still no refund. They are a scam company. Do not buy anything from them. They do not stand behind their policy.”
“I paid £244 last year for tickets for Rick Astley which has been cancelled twice. On the Bournemouth International site apparently it is illegal for them to resell tickets and are not authorised to do so. It contravenes the consumer act. There is an online petition trying to ban this company from the internet please do sign. I'm now writing to my local MP to highlight this matter”
“Still waiting on refund over 3 months after concert cancellation due to COVID
Despite repeated contacts refusing to give any timescale on expected payment
Will never deal with this crowd again and would warn others off”
“If I could leave "0" stars I would. Our event was cancelled 3 weeks before the scheduled event date, 03/27/2020. We immediately requested a refund of our money; 3 months later and we still have not receive a refund! We continue to be told that due to their volume of requests it may take several months to process the refund. When we bought the tickets they took the money immediately; this delay in unacceptable!
Do not purchase anything from this business!!!!”
“ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE!
Just sold my tickets, and apparently we get nothing back!? I called the customer support and got to a guy only speaking spanish, luckely I speak spanish and he was rude and told me that I may get the money 21 days after consert if it even happens due to covid. I could also hear chickens in the background, he was obviously sitting at some farm. What the heck?”
“i spent nearly 700 pound on tickets for this year, the event has been cancelled but the tickets are still available for NEXT YEAR! i requested for a refund and they told me i could not have one as the event as been postponed till NEXT YEAR!! i told them i can not attend as i am not in this country at this time and they still rejected, i think this is absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WEBSITE, would rather burn it.”
“Trying to get a refund on tickets event postponed until November 2021 on a Tuesday matinee in Liverpool We won't be able to attend and on principle will not sell the tickets through Viagogo which would cost us.loads of emails and phone calls with no joy they just talk around everything. They say they don't have to give refunds!!!!!We explained it's not like for like that they are offering. I have had to go to my bank to see if they can help. I have also signed up on all petitions about them and have also reported them to Gov .com Trading standards and Victims of Viagogo on Facebook.I can't believe they are still trading.”
“Well it looks like I have been ripped off by viagogo was going to see the assassin's creed symphony in Birmingham in april but they call it postponed I call it cancelled as the places has closed due to covid19 so no shows at all”
“Bought tickets for an event which was cancelled, proceeded to message viagogo regarding a refund and received an email detailing that the event had been postponed and they were 'contacting' the event organisers the event had clearly been cancelled on the organisers website. It was impossible to receive a refund and if you persist they just throw their customer agreement at you. Would not recommend using viagogo ever, once you've paid that's your money gone no matter what.”
“Lets hope they shut down after covid 19!
Shocking company and disgraceful customer service. I have spent everyday for weeks trying to get my money back from them after a cancelled concert for a birthday suprise. The language barrier of the call centre staff is shocking and they clearly read off a script giving you the same answers over and over with a terribly rude attitude. They clearly have no intention of giving our money back but you get the same response 'we are waiting for further information'. The show has been cancelled. I want a refund. It really. Is that simple. Sounds like a bunch of friends have put together a scam call centre and are laughing whilst talking to you and throwing your money around. Avoid. Terrible customer service.”
“Do not order on this site . I wish I had read reviews before I bought tickets on this site. I bought Toronto blue jays tickets back in Nov for May well before this whole COVID thing happening. Ticketmaster had issued us a refund as per the MLB saying they would do that, well I’ve contacted Viagogo about getting a refund and they say it’s postponed and we will let u know when you get your new tickets. I live on the other side of Canada and going to Toronto is an expensive trip, that we won’t be going on this year. This day in age with the COVID happening sites like these need to be more flexible especially when a huge ticket selling site like ticketmaster is issuing refunds. After this I will never use this site again! Very disappointed.”
