Overall the process was very smooth and the different hotel comparisons was useful. However, I made a hotel booking at the weekend and did not get a confirmation and payment instructions until Monday morning, which was poor since I could have used the hotel website directly and got an instant response.

As I did my own booking on line there is nobody to review, it was pretty straight forward. The only disappointment is as a South African citizen I have to pay R400 more than a international visitor, I find this very disturbing, so much for supporting your own

I didn't particularly like the fact that confirmation was not instant (like other hotel booking websites). You first secure a rate, and depending on availability, you can proceed with the booking. There is a risk that there is no availability in which case you will need to come up with another plan. As a result, I found that too much back and forth communication was required. Also, upon payment by bank transfer, the hotel confirmation is only provided once funds reflect in the agent's bank account. This can be problematic over weekends, public holidays etc. In my case when I had only made a reservation the day prior to checking in, it also created a bit of undue stress. Having said that, the staff at SA Hotels.com were very helpful and friendly.

while I admit that my travelling arrangements were made fairly late, I however followed up my emails with a phone call just to ensure that all was running smoothly. I had booked the Royal Hotel in Pilgrim's Rest in Mpumalanga. after making my payment I contacted you to confirm receipt as I had not received my confirmation. I eventually received the confirmation after making a few phone calls. upon arrival at my destination after midnight, there was no reservation made for me at The Royal Hotel. your offices were closed and I called a cellphone number on your contacts list for emergency, the man who was obviously asleep was rude to both myself and the staff at the hotel who was trying to assist me. I was disappointed by his response. he then promised to sort it out and call us back. until today 08/02/2015 I still await the call. this was on 05/01/2015. Sincerely Nombulelo 0835792974

The hotel is ok for a 4 star. The rooms close to the entrance are very noisy though. The pool area is nice and relaxing with lovely trees and a green area.

We made a booking to stay at garden court east london . The accomodation was not what we saw on the internet and the rooms were not sea facing. We are very disappointed and will not be using this service again.

I have spoken to the duty manager and they will try to move you to a sea facing room tomorrow. If you are still not happy we are happy to find you an alternative hotel for you. I have been dealing with a lady by the name Linet. She was most helpful. I believe she is no longer with the company and that is a pity. Service from other staff was not bad.

I think there. Might be a mistake in the room. I appear to have not got the rooms I requested. 2 king rooms with balconys as we are smokers. I have been assigned smaller rooms not at all happy. Please respond. Kind Regards Helen Carew

Booking via the internet was quick and easy. After sending through my payment details, I received an e-mail the following day saying that my reservation was cancelled due to non-payment. I phoned and the lady was very helpful and quickly sorted that out. However, when we got to the hotel, they didn't know anything about my booking. Luckily I took along the e-mail copies of my booking and confirmation. The receptionist had to sort that out and made a copy of my e-mail confirmation. In the end we enjoyed our stay at the hotel but in future I will rather do the booking myself.

The hotel offers a fair service but parking is a nightmare. The place could use some re-furbishment in the rooms to make these alot more mordern and attractive. TV can change to LED/HD for clearer picture and a better bigger Screen would be appreciated. Bathrooms too old and need renovations now. Saw cobwebs!! Otherwise for a night or two can do but certainly not long stay. Friendly staff at reception and housekeeping staff makes up for the above.

I was surprised that on previous bookings direct with the hotel I had not needed to pay anything but only to give credit card details, and to pay on arrival at hotel. This option was not given by the agent. There was not a further request for the balance of the full payment when this became due, until I emailed the hotel to ask what the situation was. In future bookings I shall attempt to deal directly with the hotel as there seemed much disadvantage in my inadvertently booking with SA Hotels.

As we offer discounted rates for the hotels, the hotels do require the full prepayment from us for our clients bookings. At the time the booking is made, a 15% deposit is payable to guarantee the booking. 2 - 3 weeks prior to the check in date, the outstanding balance is required. The service was okay while that of the contact person I related with Anel, was exceptional- very prompt responses by mail on enquiries and concerns raised. However, delay in sorting out payment with hotels despite evidence of transfer well ahead of our trip caused anxiety each time we were checking into a hotel. I suggest a system that would take care of such lapses so client would be encouraged to reach you again whenever the need arises.

Hotel is nice and pleasant,only problem is the breakfast set up.we had to wait 45 minutes to get a table and when we dished food,someone took our table,so had to wait while food got cold for them to clear another table.check-in also took long as the people take their time with lazy attitude.

I find your new on-line booking system very confusing. After having used your hotels a number of times in the past. Before when I used to book all my information was already in your system and I emerly selected a room and made the booking and paid when I arrived. I had requested details of credit card payments with Road Lodge P E Airport but received no response to my requests and had to get someone to go there to pay my deposit.

Our stay was at Selborne hotel and golf estate. It is a beautiful hotel and setting but training of staff was inconsistent. Food was good but kids entertainment area was not maintained. We enjoyed our stay but didn't think it value for money.
