“My wife and I are visiting South Africa (Paarl) to attend a wedding in November. This will be our first visit to the country and as our son has visited the Mala Mala game reserve on a couple of occasions in the past, he strongly recommended we should also stay there on our way south. I looked on the Internet and booked a 3 night visit immediately after we arrive in Johannesburg. The website is clear, and covers all aspects of a visit very thoroughly. Booking was absolutely straightforward and easy - an initial half of the total cost is required immediately, followed by the balance half some 4 weeks prior to arrival. Confirmation was provided within a couple of days. Follow-up emails were provided and also advice on how best to make the bookings between Tambo Airport and the local reserve airport for arrival and departures. Indeed, I could not fault the extremely helpful, friendly, and prompt replies to my own emails from the young lady dealing with these matters, when I discovered that the normal flights to the reserve would not suffice as there was insufficient time between our arrival at Tambo initially, and the normal connecting flight to the reserve. Alternative flights and subsequent ground transportation between the alternative airfield and the reserve were speedily arranged. Payments were made in US$ by credit card, and where Rand transactions (for the flights/ground transport) were made, these were quickly converted to US$ payments. All that remains for me to say is that I hope our flights to Tambo are on time, and the animals make their appearance on schedule!”

“Melissa managed my booking with an extreme sense of urgency as I was quite limited on time. She was just as amazing as the transfers organised on my behalf (IAN) who arrived ontime and chatted the entire drive to Pilensberg. On arrival, our African dream began. Tshukudu lodge was simply amazing, as were both game drives. Our 5 course dinner was nothing short of special and a memory that we will both treasure forever. The Lodge staff went above and beyond and made us feel so important. They even baked a birthday cake which of course was spectacular, particularly the magic candles that I could not blow out. I would absolutely recommend Melissa and Co as well as the Transfers. It was a dream. THANK YOU.”

“To be honest: no remarks, all very well. I asked questions, I got an answer within a day, everybody I was in touch with (via mail) was friendly and polite, the payment mails and reminder payment mails were correct and on time. Now I can only hope the reservations were actually made and we don't have any surprises, but before booking anything with you I checked Tripadvisor and everybody was very happy there too, so I'm confident :-)”

“It's very rare these days to deal with a company which simply doesn't make mistakes. I've lost track of how many years we've used them to organise our South African holidays and there's never been a hitch. What's more the prices are consistently lower than the UK-based companies and their purchasing power locally is such that we always get a good room and often an upgrade. They're also very good at organising golf with green fees lower than generally advertised. Planning and booking a long vacation from the UK can be a complex matter but in just a few e-mails it's done - quickly, economically, and with NO mistakes. Keep it up !!”

“I dealed with South African Hotels to reserve a safari in a game reserve in Mpumalanga. Firstly the prices have proved very good but more than everything I largely appreciated the service throughout the transaction. “Overall the process was very smooth and the different hotel comparisons was useful. However, I made a hotel booking at the weekend and did not get a confirmation and payment instructions until Monday morning, which was poor since I could have used the hotel website directly and got an instant response.”

“These guys are so great! I wanted a suite at a 5 star property which could only offer me half my stay as they were fully booked. Munthazi got it for my whole stay!! Then once I got to Cape Town. I decided I want to relocate to get another booked out hotel for the last three days of my trip! He worked it out so I got a part refund and a room at the other 5 star property! I highly recommend this travel agent! They made my experience so much better!! Adding to the lovely hospitality in Cape Town!! Completely reliable and professional!”
