Absolutely disgusting company. It was too little too late when I realised what con men these are. Steer well clear!

What a complete waste of money. - From being excited and hopeful from an excellent sales pitch. These guys could sell ice to the Eskimos by promising you the world - Once they have you it's soon apparent you fell for the smooth talk. The service was very slow to set up, full of errors and you quickly realise your not a valued customer, just a ticket number on a waiting list. - I recieved no sales, no leads and if I did ... it wasnt traceable. The worst £3k ive ever been swindled for by digital marketing "experts" - Locked into a 12 month contract for a diabolical service that doesn't only not work. But was mis-sold. Your cost per clicks if you use Yell will be higher than your competitors not using Yell. The Audience targeting is incorrect too. - promises made that were forgotten about. All in all, I would give Yell a 0.5/10 (Half a point for the genius way they use an old trusted name to rob you)

I have spent £115 per month since November...no customers and I'm lower now on Google than before I went with these low lives....they don't tell you that you're stuck with them for a whole year! Go for it if you like to throw your hard earned money away...I will be cancelling as soon as I can.

I have been researching Yell complaints… I have been researching Yell complaints these last few weeks and seen some shocking practices by this firm. I noticed Yell pop up on my Facebook page as a sponsored advert. So I made a comment as I discovered that Yell were non compliant with their direct debt scheme. As a result many people were cancelling their advertising contracts and claiming monies back via their banks as yell were not allowing people to save and download a copy of their account notices or sending them out advance notices of monies due as the direct debit scheme rules require. When I pointed this out to Yell chat on facebook I was told I was abusive. Especially when I pointed out the under handed practices being used by their high level team. I contacted yell today on the 0800 number and was told by the collections team that they were not aware what the conditions were under the banking direct debit scheme. I said how can you send debt collectors after people if you are in breach of the direct debit scheme? We agreed that they need to go and check what the rules are. Shocking. I later phoned back and made the person I spoke to aware that MP's arE now investigating the many complaints because of yell salesman miss selling the products. I told the person I had kept a copy of the yell chat so she could go and check. She said she would. She also took a reference to a vimeo/424744199 video regarding the story of yell.con and some £350,000 claimed back via people's banks. At least she was nice and was very concerned that the whole con was interesting even a Manchester MP that wanted to take up the detrimental practices for those that sign up with yell.con as the video describes. So best thing is to do your due diligence people and Yell so you get the advance notice requirement correct and all the other things revealed in the video. I told yell I hate yell.com like the facebook group under the same name I came across whilst researching facebook. Yell tried to block this review on Trustpilot but after providing proof it was verified

Yell lies incessantly and takes off reviews criticising it's abysmal service and reputation. Yell is UNFIT FOR PURPOSE and on it's way out.

Avoid these charlatans like they're a swarming mischief of plague rats. They will hassle and hurry you in to signing a contract with them whilst promising you the best service since Marin Cilic. They'll set up your software with the bare minimum of functionality, give you no training on how to use it and then never speak to you again. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with them and I can see that since March they have ignored around 15 attempts to contact them. Email after email has been sent without even an acknowledgement of receipt. If/when they finally do contact you, their contempt drips down the phone line like hot gobbets of curdled milk as they refuse to listen to sense or reason but instead inform you that if you didn't want bad service, then you shouldn't be using Yell. I would swap my Andrex for 60 grit sandpaper before ever reccomending this company to my worst enemy.

Sign you in to a 12 month contract promising you the world and deliver nothing. Yell seem to; have a social media team who don't bother researching the business they're trying to promote, have rude members of staff, have a sales team the cold call you and fill you with false promises. I cannot stress enough, don't use yell!!

If you're a start up business DO NOT waste a penny using this company. They'll tell you how great their figures are and the volumes of calls you'll receive, sign you up then when they don't perform force you to commit to the contract even when they're not keeping to their end of the deal. I would invest your money into Google all day over this company as they're nothing other than con artists. TRUST ME DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Horrible company. They use bullying tactics and break the law. Look up I HATE YELL.COM on Facebook with 2.5k members and read all about these load of cowboys. They try and make out as a business you don't have a cooling off period when in fact by law you do. Avoid at all costs!!!!! Outdated service.

If only there was an option for no stars. I cannot stress enough to people, do not use yell for your marketing/advertising. They miss sell, fill you with empty promises, sign you in to a 12 month contract, offer you no help to actually grow your business and are generally rude when you ring up. DO NOT USE!!

Please think very carefully before believing any business reviews on Yell - they cannot be trusted. I discovered that a specific company had 4 recent false 5 star reviews written on Yell and reported the reviews to be told there was nothing they could do!

Yell is ruining and illegally destroying people's lives. The extent of seriously flawed activity online from reading over 50 reviews that are obviously genuine on a plethora of levels is simply astonishing. Yell are nothing more than a bunch of crooks exploiting and threatening so many people. Trading standards, Ofcom and the government i have emailed accordingly

Waste of money don’t use I am a soul trader and wanted to make that next step in getting my business more professional and noticed using a website. I contacted yell along side of their companies who could build my site. Yell where not the cheapest by far, but they offered me the world. Said they loved my items and they would have my website placed at the top page listings on Google. They showed me a few website designs they had previously done and after a very lengthy discussion and the offer of a £499 discount if I agreed there and then, I opted for them to help my business move to its next step. Sounds positive so far right.... I had been told that my website designer would be in touch at a time convenient to me and we agreed a suitable time and date. They never rang....I called the sales person and we re arranged for the web designer to get in touch, after a month of waiting I got that call. After yet another lengthy discussion about my business which was exactly the same as previously, which meant they hadn’t discussed my needs at all,I thought I had the website what I wanted and that would escalate my business to the next level. I received the email to say my website was built and I could now take a look before it went live. I couldn’t wait to see all the money I had spent had been worth while. When I saw my website I burst into tears, it wasn’t the contemporary sleek professional Website I had so longed for, it was old fashioned, out dated and very poorly designed, so much so my 90 year old ludite Grandmother could have done better. I felt let down, disappointed with even the basic aspects not even added like a basket for clients to check out. I complained and I did get a “senior creative director” to re design my site. A child still could have done better but it was an improvement on the wood effect back ground that made my site look like it belonged in the 80s. I have spent a hours of my time re designing and adding onto my website, time taken away from my business. Not what I wanted. After 3 years I have not had any sales, nor have I had any emails other than spam. My listing isn’t at the top of google and is placed below free listings. Yell promised me the world and all I got was nothing with over 3K money wasted. I would definitely go else where and hopefully you aren’t sucked into making the same mistakes I did. If you have plenty of time on you’re hands to re do the mistakes from your web designer, then Yell is definitely for you. I had done some research and I went with a reputable firm, or so I though. They are anything but.

Had a Yell website for years, (cost a fortune for no return) missed the last payment when I cancelled account. Been hassled today about taking action against me for approx. £40, ( the payment is less than two weeks late) despite my concerns around the pandemic and whether I will actually be able to pay my rent, mortgage and feed my family for the foreseeable future, or have a business. Nice one Yell you bunch of hideous heartless wastes of space. Wouldn't mind so much but the service has been so awful I could write a book about it. You owe me far more that I owe you..... YOU SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN
