“Ordered 4 dresses and paid for them at the shop in Bingley. Was told that they would certainly be with me before my holiday in 9 days time. After phone call today was told that that order had not been put into the system until the day after ordering. 9 days have now passed and I am still waiting for delivery. As I am on holiday from tomorrow, wonder when/where they leave the package. A totally inefficient service, my first and certainly my last order!!! Will have to return to Bingley to get a refund - after my return from holiday.”
“I ordered a skirt and was sent a blouse and then to add insult to injury I can return it at my own cost of 2.99 or phone the help desk at 13p per minute to arrange a "free" return”
“I ordered 2 t shirts size medium. I was sent 2 extra large instead. The bar code on the sticker was correct but the size on the actual packaging and the items inside were not.
I emailed customer service asking how I could return these goods free of charge as it was not my error. I received an answer about 24hours later asking me to give a date the courier could collect the items, giving 48 hours notice. I replied promptly.
2 days later I hadn't heard if this had been arranged so I rang customer service at a rate of 12p per minute, to be told it hadn't been arranged but the collection details would be put through.
Later that day I received an email from a 3rd member of customer team to confirm the collection would be on the day requested and would be free of charge.
It is now 7pm on the day of collection and I am still waiting for the parcel to be picked up!!!”
“Used to be very pleased with jeans as size and quality was good for me. However, very disappointed with latest purchase of two pairs - material is now flimsy, pockets very small and size smaller than previous . Would have to buy next size up for real comfort now but then around legs would be too baggy. Also bought some boxer shorts - size ok but again material very flimsy. Overall not very pleased. Web site hit and miss, delivery takes ages, quality gone down, and object to charge for returns.”
“Damart state on the returns page. Attach returns label to return unwanted items from your order. They do Not state that you have to pay the return postage yourself. I returned a light weight jacket, a pair of shoes and 2 t.shirts. As they were not as expected.
Had to pay £14.00 at the post office. (cheapest rate possible.)
Totally unacceptable.!
Complained to customer services. Reply was extremely un-helpful.

“Ordered 2 packs of white sloggi knickers 9th Nov,,,,,On 16th received all black ones,,,,phoned them up ,,they said to put on returns form that iwanted replacement white,,,,,They said that it takes 2 weeks to get info onto their accounts system from their depot,,,,so they couldn't give me a refund,,,,waited,,,then phoned up today as I didn't hear anything from them,,,was told they'd put a refund back on my card on the 26th Nov!!!!!! and that they'd probably not noticed in the warehouse that I had asked for a white replacement,,,,would be nice if they had let me know then I could have got some from somewhere else,,,,been almost a month ,,,,,WHAT A FIASCO,,,,!!!!!”

“Had to pay £2.99 post to receive the order, which was nothing like the description, poor quality. Then I’ve had to pay £5 to return the order, so in all I’ve paid out £8.99 for nothing. I will never place an order again and would advise everybody to be careful because of the postal charges which are non refundable. Lesson learned.”
“The clothes i purchased were excellent quality and on sale so doubly pleased some of the clothes were sent to my daughter who works onboard a cruise liner so was docking in San Juan so was able to get her pyjamas delivered there for her to collect and she was so pleased with them another happy customer”
“received a leaflet via post. tried to go on line to order but the original price and not the sale price keeping coming up. had to order on line. Said I was a new customer. NOTHING was said about having to pay for returns. When goods arrived every thing was on the small side. Trousers were very tight and I ordered the size I ALW~AYS~ wear. a week after return the returned items are still not appearing on my statement. WOULD NOT BUY FROM AGAIN. So, in effect, I paid £7.00 to order and then have to return an item that was too small”

I asked for compensation but this was not forthcoming. First and last time I will ever use Damart.”
“Being of a certain age it was nice to find clothes that kept me up to date with the younger woman not left with the twinset and pearls era. Good quality, good choice, easy to use web pages online, quick delivery. What more could you ask for?”
