“My car broke down on the M1. Managed to hobble along till I was off the M1. Saved by an RAC van within 1 hour of calling. Within 10 minutes he had done a very quick repair and then called up a few local RAC trusted garages to see if anyone could do a quick fix to get me on the road again. RAC guy was great. But I was most impressed with the helpfulness of Richard, Geoff and the team at RM Services in Hathern near Loughborough who within about 10 minutes of arriving had gone out of their way to make space, put my car on a ramp, cut some sheet metal of theirs to create a simple enough part & very quick fix that could get me home. Truly truly impressed with the customer service (offered a coffee whilst waiting & clean toilets... ah, the small things). High integrity, reliability, can-do attitude. At the end of the day I'm a stranger from nowhere and they treat me like this... ah, I wished I lived closer so they could be my regular go-to garage! So my entire experience of breakdown - from the telephone answering at RAC to help when they arrived to the garage they referred me to... I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it all went. Thanks to everyone involved.”

“Surprised to see all these bad reviews of RAC. My last experience was very good. From first call to completion; two hours. Initial wait, diagnosis, went to get the part, repair and paperwork, all in just under two hours. This for a repair that my local dealer would have charged me £250 for. I suppose it just depends on who you get. We got super 'robo' repairman Michael, the best!”

“Saturday the 18th of January, my car had a slight problem, with my RAC policy I contacted the call centre to report my concern. However I received a call approximately 10 minutes later from RAC’s mechanic Gordon. He was very professional and checked my car thoroughly and I was impressed by his knowledge and understanding of my vehicle, from this he told me the problem with my vehicle and reassured me that my vehicle had no other major problem. I appreciate the help, patience and time. From Emmanuel”

“Hello, my driving belt broke yesterday near Colchester in Essex. Scott, the RAC representative, together with his trainee were excellent. They immediately diagnosed the problem, enabled me to get to the garage and facilitated a speedy repair. Many thanks, Scott & colleague for being so brilliant.”

“RAC breakdown. The lady on the breakdown helpline was very pleasant and helpful but sorry did not get her name. The patrol man got to me in 20 mins. Mark patrol number 4213 replaced my dead battery and checked oil which was in need of a top-up with great efficiency, what a lovely guy so helpful and knowledgeable, my car is now back on the road, thank you Mark & RAC”

“Amazing service off of the gentleman that came to our rescue. After breaking down on the A52 on our way to the Peak District for a family holiday, we couldn’t have asked for a more helpful and friendly recovery driver. He arrived pretty much at the time we was told he would and the service he provided was excellent. Even though he couldn’t fix the car at the side of the road he went above and beyond, to make sure we were able to carry on to our destination. This included getting a hire car for us, taking our car to a RAC approves garage. Absolutely Amazing service from this guy... soo helpful.”

“Brilliant service. Vauxhall corsa had a couple misfires on motorway but I carried on until St Mawes. I strongly suspected the coil system (again). Called out RAC at 4.15 and they promptly arrived at 5.20. Fitted a new coil and checked all levels on oil and water. Gone and sorted by 6pm”

“Free service user with barclays RAC rarely dissapoint RAC came to home address to look at Car went into Limp home mode 2 hour wait and kept calling to keep me updated. They managed to reset fault and provide output of codes for my garage. No issues since with car since saved a repair bill”
