“My car would not start during a trip to Leeds. I called the help line and was told, help would be with me in 90 mins. The driver called me and said he could be with me in 30 mins, when Simon arrived he honestly could not have been more helpful. I was back on the road 20 mins after he pulled up, after that service I will definitely be renewing next year. 5*”

“We have been members for over 10 years and have all ways had good service. We had 2 motor bikes to begin with. And now a car and tow a caravan.our latest call out was on Sunday on our way home from holiday towing the caravan, the car lost power and the engine management sign came on, not good. We called the rac and was asked if we were in a safe place as we had managed to pull of the road (a47)but not in a good place. We were told it could be 3to4 hours before someone could get to us, but after only 20 minutes the rac patrol text to say he would be 30to40 minutes and after a call 30 minutes later to check we were ok and were we were exactly he arrived 10 minutes later. He was very helpfull and put us at ease. We were told the car was ok to drive but to get it looked at Asap. He was very good at his job and gave us peace of mind to carry on as towing a caravan can be stressful sometimes. We would not hesitate to recommend the rac going on our own experience with the bikes and the car.”

“Excellent service replaced flat battery with vata rac recondmendation 5 year guarantee for Nissan micra turned up within 18 minutes very polite and did full electrical check to find the problem thanks Scott staff number 2055 Heathrow area”

“Whilst having a beer on the sea front at exmouth I observed the Rac guy carry out a repair on a vehicle at about 6.00 pm which was no minor task. I don't know what the repair was but it looked pretty intensive, t h e vehicle was jacked up and the windy gun was in full use! fair play glad I'm a Rac member Keep up the good work.”

“Phoned my insurance company who I had breakdown cover with, as my car wouldn't start this morning. Which was strange as we just been out only a hour previously. It turns out the ignition lock key is broken so he by passed it so we could still drive it safely until we get a new part. As tomorrow we go on holiday for a week. Thanks Phil for your help”

“We are oaps and we have always had excellent service from the RAC. spanning 50 years but luckily for us no more than 10 times but worth every penny because that's one of the things with the RAC you don't have to worry about. In the last month we've called them twice. Once for a flat battery. The phone was answered promptly and friendly by the call centre. The Engineer turned up within 20 mins. Tried to get the car to turn over and as the RAC battery was still under guarantee replaced it with a new one. He was very PROFESSIONAL and customer friendly. The second time the car was making a horrible grating noise and I had to limp home. Again the call centre responded immediately. The PROFESSIONAL customer friendly engineer turned up within 40 minutes. Replaced some pins near the front axle. Job done. So to sum up they might be old fashioned but it's been sevice with a smile. Pete McClelland ps the rating button doesn't work but it's a five star plus”

“Couldn't have asked for a better service, so informative, pleasant, nothing was a bother, I was taken to the garage who had fixed a timing belt but left bolts loose and one missing, rac explained to lad at garage what they hadn't done, excellent service from shaun the rac man, will stay with rac for the good service it provides”

“Called RAC out and had acknowledgment text within seconds. Then 20 mins later had text with driver allocated to me, he would be there within 30 mins. My experience of other recovery companies told me this wouldn't happen... he arrived within 15 mins! Really polite and thorough mechanic had my car diagnosed and on my way in 10 mins!”

“Had a warning light come up on my dash a week after a full service and MOT-manual states its unsafe to drive. As a key worker on the front line my car is completely essential. I was unable to get an appointment at my local vauxhall garage (frustratingly). I contacted RAC who i have breakdown cover with. They arrived an hour after i phoned, the mechanic was kind, understanding and very efficient. He found the fault quickly and sorted it immediately. I am very impressed with the service and professionalism.”
