“I broke down at a busy junction and called the rac. The mechanic, called Daniel, came within half an hour, told me what was wrong with my vehicle then towed me to a garage. He was polite, told me everything I needed to know and explained what would happen as I was being towed. If I didn’t like being towed just to beep my horn. Thank you for a great service. Highly recommended.”

“My campervan had a flat battery because it hasn’t been off the drive for so long. The RAC came within the specified time (up to 90 minutes) and phoned to say where they were when on their way. Did lots of diagnostics, tried to jump start the battery, but it was shot. Fitted another one. No fuss. Very satisfied with this side if the business, but less so with the customer service team afterwards (see separate review).”

“My daughter had a blown out tyre on the M40, the RAC where excellent, they told her she was a priority and were there within 45 minutes, he then organised an out of hours tyre replacement firm to come to the car, which was also done within 40 minutes. she was back on the road thanks to both these 2 great gentlemen, who were polite, kind and very professional. Have been a member for 10 plus yrs and wont be changing anytime soon.... Thank you”

“Turned up within time promised. Called to keep me updated on arrival and was pleasant the entire Time. Reiss 4273 really loves what he does and got the problem sorted due to patience and knowledge. Happy with service.”

“Your mechanic 1262 was a very nice polite helpful man . Most impressed with his service and help , he really tried his. Up most to get my car going but was unable . Top bloke , give him a pay rise he's worth it”

“Had to leave a review for the rac service and especially the garage that fixed the problem. The patrolman was professional and knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue quite quickly. As it was early, 6: 30 , and no garages were open he stayed until he could get in contact with one. The garage in question was James Price in Walsall. I couldn't have gone to a better garage. Even though they were busy, they managed to get the faulty parts replaced and get me on my way in the same day. 5 star service all the way. Recommended 100% James Price.”

“Great service today by the RAC. A brilliant mechanic turned up in quick time and fixed my car. Mechanic named joe employee number 2299 was really polite and extremely knowledgable and fixed car in quick time.”

“Have been a continuous Home & Roadside member since 1977 { over 43 years } Best money spent for a years worry free motoring. Obviously the Mechanics are of different ability due to age and experience but they have always done their utmost to resolve all issues. Having a 1989 Mercedes and a newish vehicle also, its the luck of the draw which Mechanic you,ll get. But overall am very happy with the service they provide.”

“Broke down on the m25 , they came pretty quick told me my cam belt had snapped . Waited an hour then they towed me back all the way to bexhill. A great service and will always use them.”

“After having the car serviced at the dealers a couple of weeks ago and after driving home from work the fuel feed line blew off. RAC were called and identified a school boy error, line not fixed completely, hence blow off. Young man called Shaun quickly fixed the problem. He also gave some great advice . Would recommend 👌 RAC to any one top guy Shaun.”

“Broke down not far from home early hours Sunday 15th so left the car and walked home, went back at 7am to see if the car would start, no good!! Notified RAC of my breakdown on line as the 'rescue me' wasnt working on the app, 20 mins later Iain I think he was called was there, no gargon, no bull shitting, showed me exactly what was wrong and what needed done, hooked up his battery booster to my battery so I could drive the 8 miles to the RAC approved garage while he followed, got me in for the next day and my car was made a priority job as I needed it for work. He then brought me home and explained all the advantages of my membership some of which I didnt know. Class service all round”

“Hi my name is FIAZ ASHRAF I live in Worcester and needed breakdown service a man named JOHN MOFFAT came to my rescue within a hour of phoning them he was really helpful put air in my tyre and jump started my car he is a asset to the company would recommend John Moffat for recovery thanks RAC”

“RAC are absolutely fantastic! I just want to say how brilliant Darren was with me on Friday evening. My hire car had a fault and he came out to me within 25/30 minutes of reporting the incident. He was friendly, professional and extremely well mannered. The hire company Europcar asked that the vehicle be towed to Manchester airport and in turn they would give me a replacement vehicle. Without hesitation Darren towed the vehicle from Sheffield to the Manchester. He was due to finish his shift but still made sure I got recovered and was safe. I would like RAC to know that this gentleman is an absolute asset to their company! This gentleman is one in a million. Please pass this feedback to Darren from Rotherham. Thank you so so much Darren.”

“I wrote a scathing review on how long it took for help to arrive last Friday 30th October. However since then I can only say good things about the response from the RAC and the help I have been given in retrieving my broken down car and assessing the damage. My faith is restored”

“incredible quick response couldn't believe how quick only had to wait 30 mins and William (rac driver) arrived to rescue me and my car he was very courteous and helpful towed my car home thanku for a stress free recovery”

“Broke down 11am Sat morning M25 C/W Basildon slip. Waited for RAC John 50 mins arrived on time. Fault on accelerator elects. seemed to clear itself. I had lost confidence in the cars performance for onward motorway driving. John offered reassurance to follow me home on motorway which we were grateful to accept. Arrived home safe and sound. Top marks.”

“My car would not start during a trip to Leeds. I called the help line and was told, help would be with me in 90 mins. The driver called me and said he could be with me in 30 mins, when Simon arrived he honestly could not have been more helpful. I was back on the road 20 mins after he pulled up, after that service I will definitely be renewing next year. 5*”

“We have been members for over 10 years and have all ways had good service. We had 2 motor bikes to begin with. And now a car and tow a caravan.our latest call out was on Sunday on our way home from holiday towing the caravan, the car lost power and the engine management sign came on, not good. We called the rac and was asked if we were in a safe place as we had managed to pull of the road (a47)but not in a good place. We were told it could be 3to4 hours before someone could get to us, but after only 20 minutes the rac patrol text to say he would be 30to40 minutes and after a call 30 minutes later to check we were ok and were we were exactly he arrived 10 minutes later. He was very helpfull and put us at ease. We were told the car was ok to drive but to get it looked at Asap. He was very good at his job and gave us peace of mind to carry on as towing a caravan can be stressful sometimes. We would not hesitate to recommend the rac going on our own experience with the bikes and the car.”
