After a very stressful week, today I had a tyre blow out. I called the service at 15:28 by 15:48 the recovery driver called me to say he would be with me in ten minutes and sure enough he was. Not only did he put a spare on that he supplied as I didn’t that have one, he followed me to the tyre company 11 miles from where I had been stranded. He dealt with the tyre company and ordered the tyre I needed, offered me a coffee and stayed with me and chatted, as I feel he could see I was quite distressed. Based on that recovery driver alone I could not fault the service. I hope he realises how much comfort he was to me today. So thank you Ralph! You are a credit to RAC! Truly went above and beyond today

I'm sat here reading all of the RAC reviews, and I don't know what to say. Many people are saying that the customer service is bad. I've been a customer for more than 30 years and had to call then 6 times, not once have they been anything less than helpful. And the issue regarding wait times, how many people are going to assume that they can get to you in less than 2 hours, and the end of the day, they are one of the biggest breakdown companies with only 3 offices in the U.K. So imagine how many people in those 3 offices have to constantly be on the phones to care for the whole of the uk! And yes, you may say "I'm going the AA" or "I'm going to green flag" but at the end of the day, they are also going to have times where they are delayed by 3-5 hours. All in all, I think people need to be more respectful to the workers of companies like this. The patrols work all year round in all different kinds of weather to get you back on the road, and the people in the offices, they are there to keep you informed and help you if you have any queries, they do not deserve the disrespect they get when they call you to tell you an update. They are not the reason you are delayed, they are simply there to keep you informed. I've said my peace...

Our car broke down on holiday, they immediately come to the rescue offering either to have it mended locally or for it to be taken to a garage at home. They contacted the garage for us, and our insurance company so we didn't have to worry about any middle details. Thank you so much.

Broke down on m5 near Gloucester. RAC came within 40 minutes. Unbelievably skilled and helpful followed us to make sure we got off ok. Genuinely couldn't fault the service we had wish I caught the guys name he was fantastic.

i took a trip which was supposed to be from bolton to south spain. i broke down in france near calais. rac imediately fixed us up in 2 hotel rooms and got us there via taxi. the camper van was towed to a private garage(but they were useless and overpriced materials with a wopping £5000 for materials only ! and the fake diagnosis took 3 days.)anyway, rac sorted us for 3 nights and return taxi to our camper van which was still running in limp mode, we drove to the chanel tunnel and on the other end, they got a taxi and hire car(there were 6 of us) and they also brought our camper back to our house. the same day, at 4pm i drove it to my local garage and they fixed it for under £150 inclusive of materials. the rac were a great help and were with us giving there full support every part of our rough experience, all the way from the breakdown in france to our house.we would definitely give our thumbs up to rac. we cant stress enough to how helpful they were. tjank you, thank you, thank you RAC.

I had brilliant service . They were with me within 30mins. The patrol guy rang me to say he was on his way. He was so friendly and made me feel relaxed about the whole thing. Had my car sorted in an hour. Thankyou for great service

Hi, I broken down this evening in my way home, I have to say the service I received was fantastic. From the advisor on the telephone to the RAC engineer. The engineer within seconds explain what was wrong with my car, temporarily fixed the problem so me and my daughter could get home. He advised what I should do to get it fixed, he also advised the best way to drive the car back home so we made it back.... I’ve also received an email providing me with the details of what is wrong so I can give this to the garage. This was also help so I could google it myself so I understood the issue and means that the garage couldn’t then baffle me with technical car talk. So thank you for your assistance RAC, highly recommended

Fantastic service! My breaks failed on my car, whilst on a busy dual carriageway in Kings Hill. Called the RAC and a guy called David from Aylesford was with me in 15 minutes! He was really helpful with his advice and got me home safely in less then an hour from when they had topped working. Highly recommend!

Well the grass van broke down and I called the RAC. They told me I didn’t have that van on my policy and offered to add it for £2.38. Obviously I said yes. The RAC mechanic came out and checked the van over to find that it needed and Air Flow mass sensor. The van had felt under powered for a few weeks so I ordered the part from EBay for £23. The part arrived after 1 day and I fitted it myself. Turned the key and it fired up. Took it for a drive and it feels like a new van again. Thank you RAC. You rock....

I broke down in my car on Sunday morning in Telford Shropshire, I contacted the rac as I'm a member along with my husband, the person on the phone was very helpful and assured me they would get someone out to me Asap and call me back with an estimated time of arrival. I received a call about 3 minutes later to say someone was on their way and within 10 minutes My knight in shining armour arrived, by the name of Neil ! He was truly amazing, he checked my car over, told me what the problem was and fixed it there and then !!! Can't praise him enough. Thank you R. A. C. And Neil too. Mrs M. Wilkes, grateful member

Our rear driver's side alloy sheared and the tyre blew out at 60mph on Saturday 18th November 2017. I called Nissan Emergency Assistance right away and they sent an RAC mechanic to assist. The call was plucked from their system before I even put the phone down to Nissan and the chap, by the name of Alan Goligher, phoned me within a few minutes of picking up this call. What a guy!! Alan was with us, the wheel was replaced and we were on our way home (another 68 miles) within 1 hour from placing my original call. An incredible service and an incredible gentleman RAC sent to assist us. Thank you to all involved.....better than a 5 star service for me!

The RAC are always prompt and very polite. Today I had to use them from home and the service was once again excellent with Hugh 5166 in attendance. Having 'phoned at 1.40pm they arrived at approx 2.35pm and I just wanted to let RAC know how grateful I am.

I rang the RAC this week to come out to our car 'at home' because the earliest. appointment I could get at the Nissan garage was the 19th October!! The gentleman that arrived having only waited 1/2 hour was excellent! He fixed the problem within minutes as it was a Battery problem!! I certainly would not hesitate to call them out again if necessary.

Last night I broke down in my Renault Megane after finishing work late. The people on the phone were very helpful and kept me informed on a regular basis, as to how long it would be before the recovery van arrived. I was lucky that I was able to wait inside the Care Home where I had broken down but at 2200hrs was still feeling a bit upset and tired. I would like to especially thank Joseph Baker who arrived to look at my car. I believe he worked at Radcliffe. Although my car could not be fixed, he made the suggestion that I leave my car at the Care Home until the next morning, where it could then be collected and taken to the garage of my choice. I would like to give him feedback because I felt that he gave excellent customer service. He was helpful, cheerful and talkative when he took me to my home address. He helped me with my numerous workbags and shopping to the door. I work in a customer orientated profession and it is always appreciated when people go the extra mile and I always think it is nice for people to be rewarded even if they are just doing their job. Sven absolutely fantastic service would rate more than 5 if I could, needed car ready for daughters 17th tomorrow battery flat as anything went above and beyond to make sure car was up, running ready can't recommend enough

Patrol Man Alistair arrived really quickly. He was very helpful,polite and fixed my car really quickly and reassured me everything was ok for me to carry on with my journey the same day.
