Inferior produce and meat. Bought potatoes, yams and prime steak for Christmas dinner. The steaks were the worst. chewy and grizzly.

I ordered a $50 order online. When delivery time came, I received a text telling me the driver was having a hard time finding my address. About two minutes later after I text more directions, I received another text saying the order was delivered. I did not receive the order at all, so I called customer service, which is a terrible experience. I was put on hold many times, and the when I finally was given a refund it was only for the groceries. I needed another $14 for delivery charges. So I was transferred to a Specialist! She put me on hold more than once and finally said I would be given a gift card to spend at Aldis because of the inconvenience I had endured. But it turns out the gift card was only for the delivery charges they owed me ($14). As I only shop on line and this card has to be spent in store I have had to give it away. It is no use to me. I spent more than an hour on the phone, and it has left me very unhappy with Aldi, and will not shop there again.

I popped into my local Winchester branch of Aldi's this evening after a long drive home. At the checkout I was TOLD to put my flat folded bag on the conveyer belt. This was examined by the assistant and proved to be empty. I was fuming, but too tired after my journey to speak to the manager as I new I would be fobbed off. I know shops have a problem with shop lifting, but that's not my fault. Treating honest customers as thieves is not the way to go. I have looked on various websites this evening and found that many of your customers have experienced the same treatment, and feel as I do. Needless to say I won't be coming back to your store until you have stopped treating me and the many, many honest customers as thieves. I don't like being treated as one.

A Humiliating policy. I recently was on the recieving end of Aldi's new 'random' 'bag check' policy. Never felt insulted by a cashier before but there's a first for everything apparently. From reading reports online, this doesn't sound like something the staff are necessarily happy doing. I'm all for deterring shop lifting but the fact this is something they do randomly and no doubt reluctantly results in the customer in front of you not being asked to 'lift their bag to see there's nothing in it' And you being asked... Seriously, Humiliating. So if they want to enforce such a policy you either do it to everyone or no one. If you do it randomly, the implication is that you obviously feel singled out for looking 'suspicious'. I genuinely don't think I'll be going back because of this, I don't want to go shopping in a place where I might be 'randomly' selected Infront of other customers to prove I'm not a shoplifter.

Poor customer service and attitude, humilating experience. I visited the Northwich store recently where I have been a regular customer. However, this time, I received some very poor customer service. I went to get 4 pints of milk from the shelf. As I placed it in my trolley, a young female employee asked me if she could get in front of me to push a fully loaded trolley of milk in place. She was in a hurry and couldn't wait for me to finish. But I politely moved out of her way. After she pushed all the milk in place, she walked away as a 4 pint bottle fell down onto the floor and covered my trousers and suede boots in milk. I was soaked. I called after her to show her what had happened after her impatient actions. She shouted back at me and said that she hadn't done that and tried to blame me even when I had already moved out of her way and already had my milk in the trolley. She didn't come back to even ask me if I was ok or offer to help. I asked her if she was going to help clean the mess up, and she said with attitude, that's what she was going to do. She even looked amused at how I looked in the mess. To make matters worse, I was so upset and asked another female employee to find the manager for me. As I was explaining the situation to her, a co-worker (who wasn't even at the scene) began to back up the employee in a raised voice. I felt they were teaming up against me before I spoke to the manager, all in front of the other customers. I felt humiliated. The female manager eventually came out to see me. She was more understanding and apologetic, and said the other employees should not have got involved. She said I could use the toilet to dry myself off. I told her that I was just too upset to come back to the store again that I have shopped at for years. I left my trolley of shopping in the store and left, I didn't even retrieve the £1 coin. I had to wash my trousers on a hot wash and my boots are now ruined even after wiping the suede down, they smell of stale milk and are stained. Eventually, I got through to customer services, and I suggested to them to watch the CCTV to see exactly what had happened by the milk section. I was offered a voucher to spend in an Aldi store. It didn't even cover the cost of the boots to be fair, besides the whole experience. I will only shop occasionally in the Knutsford store. There is a much better attitude there and they are more helpful.

Cashiers have bad attention service located at South St Aldi. December 1, 2023. Against customers attending to use their cleaned cart, that's what customers wanted. Other cashiers know low-price products do not respect people —bad attention to customers. * We shop at Aldi for a price and pay not for free.

I had come into store yesterday to pick up some bits before work. Everything was okay at best up until I went to pay and leave. I went to the self service till with a basket and paid. I was watched during this but I don't mind this as sometimes we have to do it at the store I work at. Since I was watched while I paid you would think I would then be free to leave. This was not the case as the security asked to check my rucksack. When asked if there was a reason behind this I was told its policy. Policy to check a rucksack with no reason? I would understand if I had not bought anything or if I had even put my shopping in my bag after I paid. However, I was watched while I paid and packed a shopping bag rather than putting it in my rucksack. When questioned about the policy, the guard said that it was a 'managers policy' not aldis. I understand this is a new store and there will be some teething issues but a manager who would put this in place should not have been given that job in the first place. I understand that the pompey centre has a lot of issues with thieves, I have seen it first hand since I work in a store nearby but if I had checked a customers personal belongings without valid reason of suspected theft I would have been dismissed! Being forced to show your personal belongings when no valid reason has been given can be considered harassment, cause distress and embarrassment especially when not even asked discreetly. Joyline Dapadap from customer service online would only try to back the store up and did this by lying about their policy even though this can be accessed online. When caught out on this they changed their answer to it being a 'short-term measure' rather than their original 'national policy'. Clearly there is a lack of training being given to Aldi employees. Honestly disgraceful!

Pathetic staff attitude at the checkout, searched my bags for suspicious shoplifting. Went to have routine shopping after work, without any indication of suspicious behaviour. On asking, they said it's their store policy. Even more appalling, they only pick on random customers, searching their bags. This looked biased and racist behavior by looking at gender, colour and then searching.Never had this experience elsewhere ..while store need to keep eye on shoplifting etc, they could do so by using technology and better staff training. Searching like this cause extreme embarrament. Will never shop in Truro Aldi.

Aldi North Cheam is just around the corner from me where I used to shop almost on a daily basis, unfortunately after my last shopping experience in Aldi Cheam I will never ever be going to Aldi in this country. On 15.09.23 I went to this store to do my regular shopping not realising that they change the parking conditions, I was totally unaware that I had to register my number plate, also, on that occasion I paid by cash and I did not keep the receipt. After receiving the parking notice I asked them to cancel it, I explained whole situation to them, and despite of presenting numerous till receipts from the past they refused to cancel the fine. After spending thousands of pounds in this branch my reward was a Fine, I just can not express my ANGER!!!!!!!!!!

As with many low rated reviews on here I experienced being spoken to in an unacceptable manner when asked to lift my bags to check I was not stealing items. I decided instead of just writing a review to try and rectify the situation by bringing it to the attention if the CEO. Unfortunately the response I received was equally as disrespectful, 'this is why we do it, here's a £10 voucher, go away'. Being barked at "Lift your bag, LIFT YOUR BAG" really isnt how I expect to be spoken to by anyone let alone a spotty, bum fluff cultivating male high on the meagre power he has supposedly been given. The highlight of the whole saga was the signs in store claiming staff will not tolerate abuse. HOW HYPOCRITICAL!! I went and shopped over the road in Lidl.

Most awful shopping experience ever, presumed guilty of shoplifting until they have rifled through your bag in front of a shop full. No apology. I take offence at a skanky cashier going through my private things, in case I slipped a lettuce into my trolley. Rotten from the shop floor up. All a bunch of c£*ts. C£*ts that wont be getting a penny more of my hard earned cash

Taurus darkfruit cider. Increased the price to £3.99, which would be fine if they hadn't reduced the cans to 330mls instead if 440mls. The cans are tall but thinner, so because of the packaging you think you are getting the normal size.

Do not allow this nasty company to get away with not allowing people to shop with them who do not have their disgusting app on their phone to let them do so. Who on earth do they think they are. Vote with your feet and stay away folks. There will no doubt be some who will go along with it, up to them of course. This is England. If they want to do so in their own country then fine, but somehow I do not think the German people would put up with it.

ALDI Harrogate I had a nightmare experience today (26/06/2023). In the store, I was discriminated against as RACHEL assistant store manager and ANDREW store manager. They behaved rudely, inappropriately and violated human rights. Hopefully ALDI management will figure it out soon. I await an apology. Or I will pass all information about them to my lawyer.
