“Oakhurst Coq au Vin - Mother's Day special. Supposed to be for 2 people, but only 1 small piece of chicken ! Photo on packet showed 3 pieces of chicken and lots of mushrooms, but ours looked nothing like that. Not up to Aldi's usual high standard.”

“Norwich store has been reorganised with people just milling about or going round and round looking for products, and it takes some getting used to. Aldi is generally good, but some products - decaf coffee especially - never seem to be in stock. I Couldn’t even buy ordinary regular coffee this morning! If I can’t get even the basics….”
“Vegetables are all extremely short dated - looks great but open one day later it shall be inedible - now never buy from Lidl - when don’t they stock seafood sauce ??? - over all could be better - cold displays again are very short dated - who buys shopping to be consumed within 2 days???? Crazy”
“I have been going to this local supermarket in Wageningen (the Netherlands) for 10 years because I am usually served quickly. It is often quiet there. But this is not a compliment to the shop itself.
Customers, beware!! Stay alert in these times of grabberism. In two weeks, I almost paid too much twice: today I almost spent a pound too much at the checkout for a pizza, if I had not checked the price in the shop properly. At my request, the price tag was removed twice in the shop. I got my money back, but no apology.
In addition to this disappointment, it is stunning that in this shop, I am only greeted if I say hello first. I still do not feel truly welcome.”
“I bought something described as SALT DRY AGED ABERDEEN ANGUS 8oz in a fancy package so designed that it could not be easily identified.
I tried to fry it but it was so thin it stewed itself. There was some sort of watery blood which came to the top on one side.
I turned it over, fried it for long enough to get rid of the blood.
Served it, left a good part of it on the plate, inedible sinew.
In Scotland this is known as untrimmed frying steak.
I would guess this package is deliberately designed to disguise the fact that it is poor quality meat.
8oz of beef probably previously frozen and possibly injected with salt water.”
“Prices are good but products are changing for the worse. I use Yuka to check for additives and nutritional value and there have been several products that have changed for the worse in the last year or so. Most recently, the protein pots that were made with quark are now milk based yoghurt, they have several new additives including aspartame and pectin, and they taste awful, the lemon cheesecake and vanilla were both really good, they are now too thick, chalky and sour, the same happened with some veggie burgers a while ago and the pizzas and ready meals. Probably a quest to save a few pence at the expense of customers health.”
“I have been happy shopping weekly at Aldi, Sherburn for many years. Recently, I find items with no prices displayed. Finding someone to help is tricky as staff are all trying to meet targets getting stock out. Sometimes, I have to wait till they’ve finished stocking shelves to pick up an item myself. I don’t think it’s their fault though, just the policies in place for efficiency! Last week I needed 3 regular items in particular, but they weren’t available - coffee beans, noodles and vitamins. I drove to my next nearest store in Wetherby, and found all 3 items.”
“Slim Well Salt and Pepper Chow Mein with chicken. This is advertised as being lightly spiced but in fact it is so peppery that it is difficult and unpleasant to eat. Helps you lose weight I guess if you can't eat it!”
“Most of the Aldi store ,the food is…
Most of the Aldi store ,the food is without any doubt under standards ,quality ,fruits ,meat as well all under the ,fruits are ok ,the staff at the tills are stopping customer without any reasons looking in their bags ,are rude in general ,they don t work in team or help customers .Aldi food and
product are below standards value ,to save money it is totally a joke managers at top employees you are just a number at the bottom list .90 % of the food at aldis is below standards advise customers to buy food from other sources .Toiletrees and cleaning stuff of , anything else even is reduce do not buy all the food goes to animals farm .I have seen myself food at aldi out of date ,marketing is bad and food is not healthy at all . Money value you buy what you paid for .

“I actually really like shopping at Aldi's. Have great prices and some hard to find products. But their website, including their online shopping delivery and pick up is just terrible. They give you absolutely no information on the products which is not helpful if you have allergies. You would think that they could just take one extra picture with the nutritional value. I am allergic to celery and cinnamon. I can't even look to see if these ingredients are in certain products. Including with so many people watching their weight and such you would think that they would tell you calories and other nutritional value.”
“My disappointment is with a product. I'm an Aldi enthusiast, but, oh dear, what has happened to marzipan these days, as there is only a tiny blob of it in your so called "Authentic Marzipan Stollen"? Before Covid, when my partner and I went to J Lewis for coffee and cherry scones, he'd say to me "Whistle when you find a cherry"! I guess I'll need to try someone else's Stollen to check out on their amount of marzipan. It's so disappointing when stated ingredients are so sparse.”
“I have been a regular shopper at my local Aldi for many years now. This store has recently been refurbished, but since then, there are not always prices displayed, even for vegetables. So it’s impossible to select The best priced sweet peppers, for example, if you are trying to budget. As I turned a corner, I had to slow down due to an elderly person n front of me, but a staff member pushing a large trolley kept really close behind me, hurrying me forward. I was worried I would be hit. She didn’t ask me to move or apologise. Staff do work hard, but the haste will put off anyone not able to jump out of the way fast. I also saw a woman trying to reach something on a very high shelf, and spill lots of tins all over the floor. I think it’s dangerous unless you are 6 feet tall.”
“Went to aldi Thornaby. 5th July.super 6 fruit .veg offer had bannanas on offer in normal fruit shelves
They were 6p cheaper for same ones.keep eye on
Ues by dates ect have spotted some past it.”
“When shopping at Aldi, I wish they had a customer service desk like at Waitrose. Having a customer service desk would make it easier for me to report a problem, rather than chasing a busy employee around.”
