“Will no longer be using this company. Last 2 time sensitive prescription items have had to be chased up. Both items have taken 7 days to arrive. I have been promised that a refund will follow for express delivery charge paid. Unfortunately this company is no longer reliable.”
“It’s a mixed review I’m afraid, so let’s start with the pros:
1) Prices, great prices especially if on sale.
2) fast delivery
Cons:
1) God awful customer services, not very friendly on the telephone, in fact I’d go as far as to say they are quite rude and reluctant to want to help, when emailing it’s someone different every time so you never get any continuity and never get any answers to your questions which is frustrating.
2) They need to do some serious work on their packaging, every order I’ve placed has had some tins/foils damaged, sadly cellotaping foil cases of dog food to tins doesn’t quite cut it for getting the items shipped without damage, this time the foil cases don’t really resemble any kind of shape, come on Animed sort this out it’s not good enough!
If you’re happy to run the gauntlet of food damage then this is the company for you!”
“Customer Service is appalling. 4 times I've had to call re my order status and 4 times I was told it would be shipped 'today' The last 2 I spoke to both said they would log it as delayed and would escalate. The last girl even laughed when I said I had 1 day's supply left and suggested I go back to my vet for meds in the future!! So rude.
I was to receive a call which never happened.
I asked if they could amend the delivery to next day due to now being urgent - they couldn't / or wouldn't
So if you are considering ordering from this company, I strongly recommend you think again.. I will!”
“Absolutely not recommended sent in a Genuine prescription paid online.No email or calls from animed.Sent on 14th July I've had to ring twice its now the 24th July.Animed made an assumption it was a Duplicate certificate that had been used but it stated that the prescription can be used 4 times.If they cared for the customer they could of asked why it was Duplicated and rang the vet to clarify but instead ignore the recommended prescription and just kept the fee paid”
“Animed have let me and my pets down three times! Their communication is appalling and it takes several days before they respond to your emails. I have had to call them a few times and I could hear the customer service representative sighing when I was trying to explain my issue. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
Vio vet and Pet drugs have been my saviour, my dog’s prescription medication was delivered within 3 days, no fuss, no stress and most of all peace of mind.”

“Had 12 months prescription and paid for 12 months medication but told only allowed to issue 6 months and had to contact them in another 6 months for the further medication. Telephoned today to be told I am a week out of the time frame and they are not allowed to issue medication and will need new prescription from vet. They also said I will need to pay again for the 6 months!! They advised that the 6 months already paid for would not be reimbursed. Have used Animed for a number of years but never again.”
“I have never had a problem with this company. I do not order mediation for my dog but do order prescription diet. Delivery is usually on time, sometimes only taking 24hrs to deliver even though I chose free 2-4 days delivery. One order was badly damaged on arrival, phone customer service who were great and offered refund or replacement. I've used Animed direct for years and will continue to use them”
“I ordered vetoryl for my dog jenks on a live subscription and express delivery and they took 10 days and left my dog with no medication when I rung to complain they hung up on me for being annoyed and haven't yet reimbursed me for having to buy my dogs meds over the counter at my vets, Anna the woman I spoke to was completely unsympathetic”

I ordered life saving medication for my dog over 3 1/2 weeks ago having uploaded my prescription. When I checked back on the website a few days later, to see if it was being processed, it wasn't ! I called and spoke to a member of staff who assured me it was being dealt with. Several days later no order so called again and was told the order was with the pharmacy and I would receive it in a couple of days' I didn't. Now I have received an email from them today, cancelling my order and to try again next week!! I now have to buy the medication at twice the price from my vet as I have run out.
Do not use this company, they are a complete shambles!”
“I ordered a prescription medication last week and my vet emailed the prescription as instructed. However, after 5 days I did not receive the medication. Their website has changed significantly since the last time I used them and at the time of writing (27th Jan 2025) they have removed all contact details from their website except for a postal address.
I had to find their telephone number from another website in order to contact them. Upon contacting them the operator was polite and helpful, but they claimed that my prescription was not sent from my vets.
I've cancelled my order and I'll be using a different service in future.”
“Used to be a great company to with deal, l've used them for a number of years but it seems to of really gone downhill recently.
l made a telephone order for my dogs essential heart medication using a prescription that had already been authorised by their vet and used for previous medication so it should of been straight forward and not needed 2 days clearance like they tell you a new one does. 5 days after l check my account after not having any emails back regarding delivery only to see its not even been processed yet. After a phone call to see what's happening l was told that they've changed their system and their vet hasn't had the prescription (which has already been cleared for a previous order 6 weeks ago ) .
So now they're telling me they don't know when l'll get my dogs meds so its back to my local vets to see if they have any in stock.
They are risking an animal's health and wellbeen with this inept service so l think l'll be taking my business elsewhere now”
