So, bought a used BMW. Due to Covid it was click and collect. Came bumped so the dealership fixed this. Appears they employed Stevie wonder to the do the paintwork which was covered in over spray, bubbly and had brush marks on it. The nearside tyre looked to have been chewed on by Jaws, they offered to replace the Bridgestone with a budget. So that would be three different tyres on the car, promised a tank of fuel, it was on empty. No service history avaliable when told there was. Car salesman wasn't even there on collection and took annual leave. Out of pocket on insurance admin and deposit awaiting back. Very poor service. Manager sorted out the financial stuff at this moment but will never go back. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Tried getting me to hand over 16k for a bodged motor

Arnold Clark Toyota bishopbriggs had some recall issues on Toyota pro ace got it booked in for 3 months down the line I requested a courtesy car as I live quite far from bishopbriggs and I have 2 children with disabilities so I need most things to run quite smoothly I emptied my van and rearranged work for the van to be in for 2 day at 4:30 the day before I got a call to say no courtesy car leaving me no time to make arrangements the staff were very rude to me including one gavin Riley offered no help whatsoever even when I originally made the booking I had no confermation email when I called back a week later it wasn’t even booked I would not trust this particular garage to change a wheel nut I’ve now had to arrange a different Toyota dealership to carry out the work which won’t be carried out until February 2021 thanks bishopbriggs

Never go back.. took out the 2 years MOT and service package, as I have had a kidney transplant and didn’t want the hassle of shopping around. I was informed they had to investigate an oil leak, 120.00 per hour and could take several hours..... I didn’t believe them so I went to 3 other garages for them to check, and you’ve guessed it..... no oil leak. Feel very let down. Manager I spoke to was very rude and said they had done nothing wrong. Even accused me of blackmail, when I said I would leave a bad review. Lost money now because I won’t be going back for the MOT and service next year that I have already paid for.

I was bought a car in Wilshaw Arnold clark one year ago, after 1 day I bought the car traction light came up. I called Arnold Clark and book an appointment to show the fault. They fixed temporarily and gave it back. Again it came and almost 4 times I been to Arnold clark to fix this. But they did not get it fixed and because of lockdown I did not been there. After couple of months my MOT due came and went to Arnold Clark to get full service and MOT.They said this light need to get fixed otherwise they cant pass MOT. But they don't have system to check Audi car. I went to other garage to fix this. After diagnosis they said they need to change entire electric unit in the car which costs around 750£, which is a lot to me with out my fault. Bottom line is Arnold clark sold fault car to customer and lost all the trust. How Arnold clark do this to customer>>>I thought it is a big reputed company. Blindly I went there and spent 15K. I never ever recommend Arnold clark to anyone. Big cheated company.

Booked car in for its service plan 6 weeks ago - told the day before they can’t service the car but could prep and put through MOT - funny how it’s the part they can make money off of that can be done and not the service

I took my vehicle for a service and MOT at the Arnold clark Armadale branch. I was told the vehicle failed it’s MOT due to needing new brake callipers, brake pads and a CV boot clip, all of which I have an email confirming. Including the service, MOT and the work needed to pass the MOT I was looking at a £602 bill. I took the vehicle to a different garage for a second opinion as I questioned the need to replace the brakes components. When the garage checked why, the Arnold clark Armadale branch, had failed the cars MOT they could only see reference to the CV boot clip. Not even an advisory on the condition of the brake pads or callipers. On inspection of the brake pads and callipers there was no reason to replace them whatsoever. Arnold clark Armadale have directly made fraudulent claims regarding my vehicle in order to make financial gain from me. I will never use Arnold clark again and will advise others to avoid them

Put car into garage as power steering wheel warning light came on and the engine wouldn't start. 2 weeks later got a call to pick it up and said it was the fuel pump. And it was all fixed as they took it out on the road and it was all good. They drove it into the courtyard and said to them fuel was all over the courtyard and they said it was just extra fuel and nothing to worry about. So drove home and fuel was all over the street got it back to the garage to be told sorry it's got a split fuel pipe. They're was definitely nothing wrong with the fuel when in went into the garage..so what happened to my car Arnold clark

Very disappointed. Booked for annual service and was called late afternoon to tell me the oil filter that was only ordered the same morning had not arrived!!! Had to rebook and wait as while was carried out. I wish I hadn't paid for the service plan, my usual car mechanic would NOT have been so remiss and much more trustworthy! Never again 🤯🤯

I have bought every car I’ve ever owned from Arnold Clark despite several problems. Recently I was on the hunt for a Nissan Juke for my mum urgently. I reserved a juke in the Livingston branch after explaining to him the situation I was in and how urgent it was he told me it would be ready to pick up on the Saturday. On the Saturday morning before I was leaving to pick up my new car the guy phoned me to tell me he couldn’t sell me it as it needed too much work needing done. Fair enough not his fault. The only thing he could offer me was to look at another branch. Which I done all the leg work myself. Reserved another car after being disappointed. It was overpriced and had more miles on the clock than the last Juke i reserved but I was desperate. It was due to be picked up on the Wednesday. I heard nothing and on the Wednesday an hour before I was due to leave to pick it up...shock the same thing happened. Needed too much work and was going to trade. The sales man literally left me a voicemail saying those words. No offer of a solution no apologies nothing. The most horrendous experience at Arnold Clark I’ve ever had. Such poor customer service to the point the service plan I have with them I won’t even use now. AVOID

Arnold Clark carried out a major service on my vehicle in November 2019. In less than 1 year the oil filter was rusty andouille started to leak from it. Arnold Clark’s explanation? It has gone rusty because I like beside the sea. Had the filter looked at by 2 independent garages and their opinion is that the filter looks as though it was not changed last year. Absolutely no attempt made by Arnold Clark to rectify the issue, other than poor excuses.

Booked service Mot and repair was told at service desk that the repair could not be done as too busy.Without the repair my vehicle would fail the Mot and as a result I would have to arrange recovery.I have now had to booked in with a local garage .What a shocking way to treat a loyal customer. Very disappointed ex customer.

Bought my car at the end of 2019 a Nissian Micra 2013 model. First complaint no manual and we are at the end of 2020 and I still do not have a manual. 2nd complaint I was told that the car had been checked and serviced before i bought it. I did take the car back as i heard noises but no this car was alright and had been fully serviced. I stupidly bought a service plan and now after doing 1000 miles, yes 1000 miles the car needs repairs to the suspension costing £300 mainly labour. This is 2020 covit year and i am 70 years old I hardly took the car out so was the car needing repairs in the first place and had it been serviced. This has been an expensive mistake, the service plan a waste of money as my local garage would have been cheaper. If buying anything from Arnold Clark get the car looked over within the 14 days cooling of period by another garage or a reputible person. These people are alot of sharks.

I bought a new Volvo XC60 with 3 years Volvo servicing. When it came to the first service it turned out they hadn't arranged it. They sent me my money back without any explanation or apology. Looks like I will be paying the aditional costs of not having a service contract. I won't be trusting this lot again or recommend anyone else to.

I started to purchase a car on the 28th august 2020. I had to wait a week for the car at Bishop Briggs branch,on the 1st september i agreed to go to the store just after 16.00 to pick the car up. However i had an emergency and when i told the car sales man i could not get there until after 6 he cancelled my order. I was now left without a car. I have a sick dad in a care home and needed access to a car in case of emergencys. I have since been dealing with bearsden which has not been a good experience either . Provisional date for new car was 14th september ,but i knew this was not a guarentee and not to expect it. I was also advised that the car sales person received an email to say the car should been with them within a few days. On the 18th september still no car . 25th september was advised my car was in dumbarton and i would receive it on the 4th october for me coming back my holidays. I was advised on the 2nd of october that my car was not in dumbarton at all and it was down south. I finally received my car 13th october and it has scratches on it and now needs painted ? I wrote to the ceo on the 18th september and i have had no acknowledgement . My letter was signed for on the 21st september Service is a disgrace

I emailed Arnold clark via autotrader website on Saturday 26 september 2020 re a Mercedes car. On Sunday morning i received a call to ask if i wanted to view the car, i agreed a time of 1pm. I further received a call from sales manager Steve Nile to confirm my appointment at 1pm. Further to that i received a call from Nichola Maclean to confirm my appointment at 1pm. This appointment was made due to corona virus regulations. I turned up at 1pm to be sold the car was sold. I was raging, as taking the time to arrange an appointment and drive to London rd Glasgow, this was a considerable waste of time. When i returned home, i called Steve, however he has still to return my call. I emailed Eddie Hawthorne who is CEO, again, and has yet not bothered to reply. Avoid these time wasters like the plague. I would not buy a light bulb now from this outfit and will deter my family for doing the same.

I got a Corsa back in June. With in minutes of driving off from Arnold clark the clutch was playing up. It was being pulled down and I was having to bring the clutch back up with my foot, not only that the gears where clunking and having to be forced in to gear. Furious over this, I rang them soon as I got home to take it back. The car gets a look over and they tell me there is absolutely nothing up with it. Booked it back in for them just to do a fluid change. Drove away and it was still happening, Booked back in for them to eventually tell me yes it needs a few parts. Gets a new clutch, pedal, slave cylinder, master cylinder and got knows what else. Finally get my car back after weeks of waiting ... The gears where smooth again but only for a few days, they started to clunk again. I left it for a bit as no further problems other than the clunking happened. As a couple of weeks passed the gears started struggling to go in again, the clunking got worse having to force gear change again. This wasn't happening constantly just now and again but I got it booked back in and explained the same problem is back. They kept it in took it for a drive and said there was nothing up with it. I explained it doesn't happen every time you change gear time but it's happening and it will get worse. But as it didn't happen for them they sent me away. I was furious as I new it would end up back to square one, which it did. Today I was driving on a busy road and my car for the past few weeks had mainly been struggling to go into 3rd gear, so in the space of a very short journey it happened around 5 times, it wont go all the way in to 3rd gear which was causing the car to judder, it would not come back to 2nd it was completely stuck in between gears, I had just got on to a 40mph road I had cars flying past me and I was coming to a stop! Eventually got home in one piece. Called Arnold Clark (Liverpool) explained what happened, she booked it in with a GearBox specialist next Thursday and said she will have him drive it. As I explained each time it's been in it does not happen on every gear change so if they take it for a drive and it doesn't happen your assuming it's fine!!! It needs fixing asap. If my car comes away with one more problem or this one isn't fixed by next week there will a claim being put against you as you are putting me, my son and others at risk! The amount of times I've had to stop on main roads as the gears wouldn't go in and get lodge its ridiculous, a car or lorry anything could of went in to us. The customer service has been awful I've been made out to be a liar or that I can't drive, bear in mind this has also happened to my dad driving the car who is 2nd driver, been driving over 30 years and has a driving job, also happened to my partner so I'm guessing they can't drive or their lying aswel. To top it off I still havent got my spare key either which I've been constantly chasing up since I got the car. Can't stress my frustration any more I'm done with this place, they've got one last chance to fix it, properly or you will be hit with a claim against you. Terrible customer service Dodgy cars Not a bit bothered about you or the car just want the money
