We originally booked with RyanAir car rentals and then changed to Budget with AutoEurope. So glad we did. We’re Canadian fyi for fellow Canadians. Check in was smooth, we got our preferred car, spotless and papers ready. We purchased some additional coverage. We had unlimited mileage. Drop off was super fast and no issues. Would book with Auto europe again even though it was a bit more than Ryan Air auto rentals.

We forgot my husbands driverslicence.. Ok that is our fault. But standing in the office with the booking, off course fully paid upfront, in our hands. And my drivers licence, also a Visa on my name, asking to put me as a second driver or change the booking to my name the answer was; not possible!! You have to wait 2 hours before we can help and then pay the full amount again!!! That is NOT costumer service!

Don’t waste your time!! You going to lose a lot of money!! I’m 110€ behind! Booked a car from Auto Europe(YOURS) but I didn’t read carefully the booking confirmation which says ( Deposit only can be paid with Credit Card). Apparently I haven’t got a Credit card , I asked if I can pay CASH or Debit card but they refused.. So now I’m without a car and -110€ in Santorini!! Be careful they’re also very rude and unprofessional. If you need trouble free experience better to avoid this company! Kind Regards Dimitar Karapetrov

Unfair communication about renting, which caused an unnecessary delay of hours. After a complaint, Auto Europe still said it was the customer who was wrong, even though the voucher proved our point. Wouldn't deal with them ever again.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Auto Europe. I booked a rental car through them for pickup at Heathrow Airport. Despite holding a valid USA driver's license for more than two years—meeting all the requirements listed in their terms and conditions—I was refused the car at the rental desk. This refusal resulted in me not being able to use the service I had fully paid for. The entire process was incredibly frustrating. I traveled for over an hour, waited 30 minutes for the shuttle, and then spent an additional 10 minutes traveling to the rental office, only to be turned away. The whole ordeal took four hours of my time, with no result. To make matters worse, it took over two weeks to get a response to my inquiry. Instead of addressing the situation or offering a refund for the service I was denied, they simply reiterated their terms, despite the fact that my license met their stated requirements. This situation has left me feeling very disappointed. I was initially going to ask for compensation for the time and effort wasted, but instead, I'm having to fight just to avoid being charged for a service I didn’t receive. I would not recommend Auto Europe based on this experience, as they’ve shown a lack of clarity and customer care throughout the process.

Don’t deliver car, make promises they don’t commit, and make money by using this situation to ask 3x the amount of a car when you don’t have a choice. Criminal business and not to trust😡

As soon as our bookings payment was made. We recieved a mail informing us that our booking ad been cancelled. We called the service center and they did not give us a reason why it was cancelled. Further more we would recieve a refund in 7 to 10 business days. This was very surpising that they did not even try to get us another rental for the same price. If we wanted to try another booking we would have to pay again. This seems like a scam. If we do not recieve a refund we will have to take action. We would not recommend this company and there for give it 1 because we can't leave a 0 stars review

I cannot believe how disgraceful this company have been to deal with. After selling us a car rental at a specific price, we were then told just a couple of days before our trip that they would not be honouring the price initially offered leaving us car less & out of pocket. Despite several attempts to reach out for help and a solution, I was ignored repeatedly, however, they were quite happy to hold on to the money I had paid when initially securing the booking. BE WARNED.

Booked a car with Auto Europe. Hertz supplied the car. Paid €1.2k. Hertz only received €1k. €184 went missing. Auto Europe is not responding to questions why this is. Do not use a company that is having questionable policies. They are like Chinese scams. AVOID them.

This company is terrible. We had an awful experience and all they cared about was making sure they had their slice of the money, there is nothing else other than middle man greed with them. We hired a car through them which stated in the contract that out of hours fees were included. Upon arrival, the provider said it was a mistake and we needed to pay an additional €120 for the out of hours service, but admitted that the contract stated otherwise. They said we could leave and lose our money, or pay the additional. We expected that AutoEurope would recognise this as illegitimate instantly, but instead they said we should have paid the fee and "tried" to reclaim it through them. Now they have said a bunch of lies that we were late, when we weren't, and they are not going to provide a refund. This is a terrible company that provides no means for review. They publish their own review which isn't gauged and all others on independent sites highlight massively lower ratings. Avoid like the plague! There are many better brokers out there.

I chose to look into it myself even though I had heard a lot of bad things about AUTO EUROPE lack of financial integrity. Regretfully, the cautions turned out to be true. I almost lost my $10,000 investment. Fortunately, I found experts at support (at) Evidentltd.COM who could rescue. They successfully retrieved my funds from the confiscated platform, and I heartily recommend them for their skills.

Customer service is non-existent. If you have any problems don't expect anything from them. Only support phone number is international (Germany), very restricted hours to call, and they were only able to assist me in English. After a month they had not responded to my complaint through their website. They still had the humor to apologize for the "small delay" in contacting me. They did not resolve anything for me, they did not cover anything. They are a scam

I would be wary of using this firm. They offer sometimes good prices if booking in advance, you pay them , but youre reliant on the particular car hire company they have sourced, delivering the service. If the actual hire company is busy, looks at the price theyre getting from AutoEurope, and sees its low compared to what they can hire it out for now, I think they find reason not to supply, eg you're 30 mins late, its gone, or your credit card name isnt quite exactly whats on your driving license. So theyll happily leave you in the lurch, or ask you to rebook at spot rates. You end up shafted ! The practical issue is the actual agency doesnt have much regard for AutoEurope, so theyll try and duck out if it suits them. Beware ! Quite how the credit card cos allow this Im not sure, i think the way to deal with it is via the consumer credit rights youve got in the uk at least but i believe there are similar around Europe.

Booked with Auto Europe because of good price and advance information. Including all insurances, approximately €450 for more than a week. Picked up the car at Thrifty on arrival, so far so good. Returning is also no problem: "you will receive an email with confirmation". Never received email, but €275 was debited from credit card. No Dutch helpdesk, no response to e-mail and when calling: we will send you an e-mail. As a mediator, Auto Europe does not feel responsible in any way for resolving the problem with their partner.

Full Damage Cover is a RIP-OFF! Pure SCAM! Their prices are very high compared to other brokers. Just shop around and you'll see! I've been using autoeurope for the past 4-5 years, renting +20 cars, always opting for their full damage coverage. But guess what? I never had to use it until recently. In January 2024, I returned a car to Sixt with a tiny scratch on the front bumper, and what do they do? charged me with a €1400 bill! So, I file a claim with autoeurope on 01/02/2024 to use the "Full Damage Insurance", sending in all the documents they asked for. For the past two months, I've been hounding them, emailing and calling over 10 times, but nada! They just ignore me, pretending they never got my docs. That's a load of bull because every time I email, I get a confirmation with a reference number! Autoeurope is straight-up trying to stiff me. If you want to play it safe and not throw your money away, steer clear of autoeurope. Go directly to rental companies with full coverage. Sure, it might cost a bit more, but at least you won't end up in this mess. Make sure the broker has an ANVR and SGR badge!! I'm done with autoeurope. I'm taking my case to my lawyer and filing complaints to european customer center, ECRCS, and whoever else needed. And here's a message for Autoeurope: Before you ask for my voucher number, talk to your employee Fabiana. She knows what's up. And do me a favor, check how your staff conveniently "forget" about over 10 follow-up emails and calls, and claim they didn't get my docs. Your customer service sucks big time!!!!

DON'T LOSE YOUR MONEY ... DON'T GO THERE !!! They don't respect most of the car rentals conditions. So once you pay on their website, then you won't be able to pick up the car from the car rental company. Of course they don't take any responsibility then. You lose your money, your time, your energy and and you still have no car. I had the bad experience twice, as you can see in pictures... NO MORE ! Their customer service is even worse. Maria from the reservation team is an awful adviser as she will make you get into even more troubles. Don't do the same mistake, get away from them.
