As someone who neither has a computer or land line , the options available to chat to someone about my insurance is very limited. As i only have a mobile it is not fair to expect me to phone an 0800 number at great expense to myself to discuss my policy. It would be better if another number be available that is not so expensive so in future I could contact company. I'm sure others too are not happy with an 0800 number being the only choice. Though all other matters pertaining to my renewal went smoothly. I did not however need weekly letter reminders sent to me, for a month prior. One was sufficient.

Hi Graham, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch. At Autonet, we offer and "03" number for our Customer Service department. These calls cost no more than and "01" or "02" numbers and are included in call packages from many providers (please check with your provider for full details). In terms of your renewal documents, we send reminder documents to ensure that customers are given the opportunity to check the cover being offered and also to let us know if they do not want to go ahead with the policy. I was pleased with the price for my insurance renewal even though it was with my original insurance company who I had been a loyal customer Autonet saved me over a £100. What I was not happy with I reported a no-fault claim it asked for aprox date which I give as I was unsure of date. I then received a letter asking for an additional £20 as they said I had too claims. It was obvious that this was the date I had guessed and the actual date. I rang to try and get it amended was passed from pillar to post and I am still not sure if this has been amended now as I have not received confirmation. I feel this was poor communication between my insurance company and Autonet and could have been resolved by one email or telephone call instead of me having to ring listen to music be passed to wrong departments etc etc...... so be careful if inform of a claim it is the correct date otherwise the data base will have claims that are incorrect.

Service from Autonet was very good and I thought everything had gone thro when I received an e-mail one week later to say my policy was cancelled and two minutes later I received another e-mail from Close Bros to say my payment had been taken for the policy. Because it is a Bank Holiday I cannot get in touch with Close Bros.

The price was excellent. Communications (by email and SMS) were also good. Email and SMS seem to be their preferred methods, which was OK by me. The only down side was they kept asking for proof of No Claims Bonus even after I had sent it and rung up to confirm they had got it. This was worrying as they said that without this proof they could not insure me, and this was with 4 days to go before my old insurance expired. The left hand caught up with the right hand eventually and all was OK before the expiry date. askMID.com confirmed I was still insured after the expiry date (a very reassuring web site).

It was quick and I knew the method was both time saving and cost saving. You didn't need to be a www wiz kid..... It was straight forward. The whole process was manageable and I was amazed at the savings. Thank you.

Autonet good, very helpful on the phone but they let them selves down by using premium rate telephone numbers. If your spreading the cost of your insurance beware if Autonet put you in touch with Close Brothers. There website is unsafe, the certificate cannot be varified, and your ID could be stolen . That is according my browser Firefox.

The telephone numbers that we use for new customers are premium rate, however the numbers available for existing customers are "03" numbers, which are local rate and are included in many phone packages (please check with your provider though). We do also offer a free Live Chat service from our website. In terms of the instalments, we do work with Close Brothers Premium Finance. The price was very fair and the procedure for switching my home insurance very easy. The website was easy to use, enabling me to compare between policies, and so select the best one for me.

It's a bit early in the day to give a full review as only been insured for a few weeks, but my experience so far has been positive. It was easy to apply for car insurance online and was a much quicker process than ive experienced elsewhere. I like that I didn't have to speak to anyone on the phone.

Autonet has been a good insurance provider. It's difficult to know exactly what the best arrangements are for finding the most competitive quotation, but they've provided me with good service. Their agents, when I've spoken on the phone, have been helpful and followed through with what they said they'd do, which I appreciate.
