Ordered 2 oak end panels for kitchen refurb at the beginning of November 2019. 2 panels were delivered to home address and one was oak and the other cream. I took the cream one back and told bemused staff. A new one was reordered and I’m still waiting. I’ve now been told this item is no longer available. Do not bother with this company , they are useless. My 8 year old granddaughter knows the difference between oak and cream and says she will apply for a summer holiday job when she’s old enough. She can point out to staff the difference in colours. Thank you to Daily Mail and money saving expert.

Being watched by staff looking for screws,, incinuations being made regards me opening box's even though there's box's and box's already opened ,,being questioned by staff members who think they know what there doing, give me a break,, maybe if you had a screw taped to the outside,, for the less DIY entusiast it might make life easier,,, Will not be back ill stick to woodies,, friendlier service and you don't get staff pretending they know what there doing.

I dont think speaking to someone in 'building supplies' about kitchen worktops should be encouraged - especially when its B&Q. In my experience even their kitchen designers leave plenty to be desired (and they are supposed to be experts).

I have had the most wonderful experience in your Lincoln Store yesterday and today....... I rang the store yesterday to enquire about Kitchen worktops and spoke to Simon Gibson in Building supplies It is without exaggeration to say he could not have been more helpful. Today I went into the store to make the purchase he recommended and I could not have had better service. He was fantastic, and I am delighted with the products and the advice he has given me. I hope you will convey my very sincere thanks to him. He is a credit to your store and an exemplary representative of your company.

I Booked an appointment before the Christmas with the Yeading Branch for Tuesday 14th Jan at 2pm. I want to fit new wardrobes in 2 bedrooms. I got an email on Monday the 13th to say they have changed my appointment as per my request to 15th Wednesday at 10am. I did not request any change of appointment. I then get another email today telling me that this appointment has been now changed to 2pm on the Wednesday. I also had a phone from Donna telling me of the change in the time. I told her that as B& Q had made these changes without first contacting me, I no longer wish to do business with them. If they mess around with my appointments, they surely will mess around with my order. I shall spend my money elsewhere. If I could give a Zero score, I would.

Another chain that used to be good enough for hardwares but standards are slipping, electric tool quality not as good as it used to be but OK for short term use I guess they just want to keep the cycle going for buying and selling,, wood supplies are good though [stanmore B&Q]

I ordered 4 doors and eventually had 8 delivered and 4 rejected for damage over 3 deliveries. My fitter had to come back twice to fit the doors. I spent over 2 1/2 hours waiting to be connected to Customer Service, even then they would not even try to expedite my replacements. The delivery company data for contacting them (reference #) did not work on the website so I could not re-schedule their delivery (they had delayed it 3 times in one day). I wrote to the only director whose name I could find 6 weeks ago and have had no reply (Veronique Laury the CEO is leaving). Great shame as we used them for similar purchases 14 years ago and they were great.

Absolutely disgusted at the customer service at the Gravesend store. This is the SECOND time I’ve had this experience with two separate security guards now after complaining about members of staff about their rude, abrupt and obvious manner to other customers! The security and another member of staff have made it very obvious that they are follow us the entire way around the store, winking at other members of staff! At the while myself and my husband have our 7 month old child in the pushchair and my 9 year old son is holding hand asking why the woman is following us! Not only do I feel uncomfortable it’s inappropriate and entirely unnecessary! We should not have to go into a store and made to feel like thieves!!!

We have just spent an hour or more in the kitchen planning department of the Chelmsford with a young man called Dan. What a lovely young man. Couldn't do enough to help us and was very patient when sorting our kitchen out. A credit to your store.

After buying a kitchen from B&Q I noticed that on of the cupboard shelfs were missing. This was some time ago. I decided to go into the Bedford store to look for a shelf. I couldn't see any the size I wanted but did come across some off cuts. I also noticed a circular saw. So hey... I took the tiny piece of chipboard to the checkout. The lady charged me ÂŁ3 and when I asked if she could get somebody to size it up for me she said ohh no we don't cut off cuts. Over the years I have spent ÂŁ1000's in B&Q. This is what they call after service.?

When enquiring of Valspar paint and trying to match and choose colours Anita was so helpful and patient! She pointed us in the right direction, giving us the choice of products to consider! She then allowed us to discuss our options and then mixed our paint efficiently pointing out colour matching and buying further products!! She is certainly an asset to B & Q Barnstaple!! We will certainly be returning to this store!!

Customer service at Dover branch was amazing. We couldn’t get the amount of fixings For curtain rail we required from store or warehouse. Victor the supervisor rang round other stores and located them in Thanet he personally picked them up for us on his day off. That’s 100% service very grateful to him

Just visited Castleford branch looking to purchase some lengths of pvc. As we required some assistance with measurements, we asked the staff for some help. The two staff members who came to our aid were Steve and Lorraine. They were extremely helpful, and courteous. We finally managed to get exactly what we wanted for the job in hand. Thank you both very much.

B&Q and Valspar paint partnership. I’m currently decorating my new house and used valspar paint (partnered with B&Q) from B&Q because I wanted to mix paint. Having used their dulux mix many times in the past I thought it was a good idea. They now only stock a limited amount of colours from dulux and other companies so I bought a regular valspar paint and a valspar wood paint too. It was appalling. It’s much more expensive than the other paints they sell and has terrible results. I had to put 6 coats on 1 of the walls as it was being painted over a darker colour. It comes off with the roller as you paint it on and dries streaky. The wood paint took 3 coats over the white I was painting over, which had yellowed. To put it in perspective I painted other rooms with dulux. It went on beautifully and even when painting a pale heather cover over dark red paint it only took 2 coats. Dulux wood paint only took one coat. I used 5 litres Of Valspar on our tiny spare room And less than 5 litres on our enormous bedroom which is 19x20 feet. Valspar is expensive and of terrible quality and yet B&Q have had an awful lot of publicity for the “transformative” new relationship they have. I can only assume that B&Q make more money on valspar than they do on competitor paints. From now on I’ll be buying other brands from somewhere where they stock a variety of brands. I’ve been using dulux and Annie Sloane wall paint (which still worked out cheaper despite the high price tag because as with dulux you need very little) and those rooms look amazing. I’ll be painting over the valspar paint as soon as I’ve finished the other rooms I’ve got a lot of experience in decorating (I used to renovate houses) and I’ve never used paint as poor quality as this. If B&Q want to keep customers they really should consider partnering with a brand that achieves decent results.
