When enquiring of Valspar paint and trying to match and choose colours Anita was so helpful and patient! She pointed us in the right direction, giving us the choice of products to consider! She then allowed us to discuss our options and then mixed our paint efficiently pointing out colour matching and buying further products!! She is certainly an asset to B & Q Barnstaple!! We will certainly be returning to this store!!

Customer service at Dover branch was amazing. We couldn’t get the amount of fixings For curtain rail we required from store or warehouse. Victor the supervisor rang round other stores and located them in Thanet he personally picked them up for us on his day off. That’s 100% service very grateful to him

Just visited Castleford branch looking to purchase some lengths of pvc. As we required some assistance with measurements, we asked the staff for some help. The two staff members who came to our aid were Steve and Lorraine. They were extremely helpful, and courteous. We finally managed to get exactly what we wanted for the job in hand. Thank you both very much.

B&Q and Valspar paint partnership. I’m currently decorating my new house and used valspar paint (partnered with B&Q) from B&Q because I wanted to mix paint. Having used their dulux mix many times in the past I thought it was a good idea. They now only stock a limited amount of colours from dulux and other companies so I bought a regular valspar paint and a valspar wood paint too. It was appalling. It’s much more expensive than the other paints they sell and has terrible results. I had to put 6 coats on 1 of the walls as it was being painted over a darker colour. It comes off with the roller as you paint it on and dries streaky. The wood paint took 3 coats over the white I was painting over, which had yellowed. To put it in perspective I painted other rooms with dulux. It went on beautifully and even when painting a pale heather cover over dark red paint it only took 2 coats. Dulux wood paint only took one coat. I used 5 litres Of Valspar on our tiny spare room And less than 5 litres on our enormous bedroom which is 19x20 feet. Valspar is expensive and of terrible quality and yet B&Q have had an awful lot of publicity for the “transformative” new relationship they have. I can only assume that B&Q make more money on valspar than they do on competitor paints. From now on I’ll be buying other brands from somewhere where they stock a variety of brands. I’ve been using dulux and Annie Sloane wall paint (which still worked out cheaper despite the high price tag because as with dulux you need very little) and those rooms look amazing. I’ll be painting over the valspar paint as soon as I’ve finished the other rooms I’ve got a lot of experience in decorating (I used to renovate houses) and I’ve never used paint as poor quality as this. If B&Q want to keep customers they really should consider partnering with a brand that achieves decent results.

We went to B&Q in Newport on the Isle of Wight - we purchased a sheet of plywood which we were wanting to have cut down to a specific size at the department that offers this service. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes (numerous announcements made over the store intercom), one you d lad finally arrived and said that he had been on his break and there were plenty of other lads around to help but that they “couldn’t be arsed”. We were gobsmacked.

B&Q kitchens are not waterproof. Two swollen doors after less than two years. It took B&Q FIVE months to decide the damage was not covered by warranty.

I made a complaint a few weeks ago regarding misbehave staffs of B&q stanmore. My complaint were dealt by Bill through resolver and they closed my case without taking any action. Worst customer service I ever got from any company. Never buy any products from here as they will never take you seriously. Very very bad experience.

In the middle of the Christmas sale period, my shower packed up and needed replacing so I went on to the store website and quickly found a reasonably priced replacement. I placed my order and as the local store is only a short distance from home, I went straight down to collect. On arrival, the customer service assistant told me that my item wasn’t ready for collection. This turned out to be my error as the e receipt clearly said that the item would be ready an hour after the order was placed. As the store was so busy at the time, I was expecting to be told that I would have to come back later to collect, but instead the staff went out of their way to find my item. The friendly & helpful staff went above and beyond to make sure I left the store with a smile on my face.

Decided to call at Bamber Bridge store to look at kitchens as I had read that the kitchen designers are not on commission and therefor not as pushy Yes it turned out that was true. We were met by a assistant called Dave who enquktef6did we need help and the introduced us to Brian one of the designers who spent a good 2.5 hours forming a design from our measurements and then we achieved our perfect kitchen Very pleased with the cost and then we got some extra discount on the appliances. Nothing was to much trouble for Brian, and most helpful. We also were offered coffee which we gratefully accepted. After arriving home I was immediately on the laptop checking the price of the appliances against other suppliers and was most pleasantly surprised to find they were all cheaper even before the discount so more than happy. 2 nd stage will be when the units arrive in 21 days the I will add to this report. Decided not to go onto Wren Kitchens as more than happy with our choice.

Customer service from some staff is non-existent, I'll give it a 0 star if I could... drove 7 miles to collect my order and the lady called 'Kelly' simply refused to release the order even though I've showed her my paypal account with my photo, phone number and address, she was just like a robot repeating 'no I want to see your physical ID'. I then asked 'how about a photo of my driving license?' 'No, it doesn't work', and she doesn't care how long it gonna take you to go and collect the 'physical' ID. Kelly needs a customer service training course for sure. What a shame for B&Q Dartford hiring such a manager without any custom service skills nor empathy.

Sent me 4 damaged internal doors under undamaged packaging . Doors had obviously been doing the rounds until ending up at my address and I did not have the means or timescale to return them . Clearly a fraud

Had kitchen planned by these people, absolute disaster from start to well, not finished yet as still waiting for things and that was nearly 3 months ago. Our measurements were spot on, kitchen planner didn’t leave enough room for end panels and one of the units. Had a third of kitchen undelivered, wrong size doors for units, b and q reordered and still wrong size delivered . Sink is starting to rust, tap and plug fell to bits already, still waiting for a ten plate for intergrated washing machine! What should have been my dream kitchen has turned into a nightmare and not at all what I imagined. Have been back to the Sutton-in- Ashfield store 17 times in less than 3 months. The staff are so unprofessional and couldn’t care less and I wish to god I’d gone somewhere else. Advise you to leave well alone.

We have bought a Garcinia kitchen in October from Gillingham B&Q shop. The upper door for the integrated fridge/freezer were the wrong size. Since then we order 4 times the door and every time the door was wrong size or without handle! The customer staff was rude and unhelpful! Unfortunately, very bad experience with B&Q!
