“Guitar arrived in an unplayable condition with bad fret buzz at the nut end of the fretboard. Bax offered a return/exchange/refund, but I decided to keep it and adjust the truss rod and bridge myself. If you are not experienced in guitar setups then be prepared to return the guitar or pay a luthier to do it for you.”

No issue with the delivery and service from Bax Music but the quality of the guitar is not up to scratch. To say it has been quality checked clearly no one has checked to see if the frets are level. Several of them are high. Maybe this is the quality you get for the price.
Will need to visit a local luthier to get this fixed

“When you are buying a guitar online, you have two worries:
What condition is it in? Even if it’s new it might have been tried out by every Slash wannabe wandering into the store, a slack tuning head here, a loose toggle there.
Will it arrive safely? It might have got to the store fine, shipped from the manufacturer in a specialist container, but how will it fare on its own in the back of a courier van for 572 miles (I’m in Northern Ireland)?
You have to go to a specialist, people who know guitars. I spent weeks choosing. And when I realized Bax was a warehouse, not a “real” store, I got worried . . .
But it turns out the genius of Bax is that it is a warehouse. Shipping is your thing.
I got a brand new, pristine Epiphone Les Paul Modern, which I swear has never been touched by human hands, it arrived fast, dispatched within hours, arriving in days, and the packing was amazing, using solid, reinforced boxes so strong I’ve since glued them both together to use as a garden bench.
I also got a strap, flight case, strap locks, all great prices, and b-grade tuner that frankly I could have sworn was mint. All first rate, flawless, and all arriving within days.
I have never had such service from another music store. And I never shall, because from now on I will only ever buy at Bax.
